The Distance

It seemed as though distance

was merely through the digital screen

The glowing screen a pale imitation of warmth

The chats a sad substitute for conversations with you

It walks among us

And as pestilence awakens from it's coffin

The embers of fear is stroked and bursts

Into fiery flames of paranoia and fear

A symphony of chaos into a crescendo of madness
