TWELVE
TWELVE
Alex Albon did not care at all that he had just thrown a pack of condoms at the face of Max Verstappen.
"I don't want you giving my sister any of your diseases." The Thai boy spoke with a glare upon his tanned skin as he arrived at a cafe that Max was buying him breakfast at.
"My diseases?"
"Yeah, your moronic-ness for one." Alex huffed, taking a seat at the table in front of them as they prepared to order breakfast.
"Well, no. I did not invite you here to tell you that I had sex with her, because I haven't."
Max Verstappen furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion at the way that the Albon boy was acting, having never seen him this way before.
"I invited you here to ask for your blessing to ask Ocean out on a date." Max released a deep breath as he let the words fall out of his mouth. "I think I'm starting to fall in love with her, so I want to do this properly, and nobody cares for her more than you, so that's why I'm here."
Alex raised the both of his eyebrows in surprise and shock, his mouth dropping open slightly, having not expected anything like that to come from the Dutch man.
"All I do is protect her because it's what her dad wanted me to do. You can ask her out on a date, but if you upset or harm her, I will come for you, got it?" Alex raised a finger up in warning, a dark look crossing his face which Max knew meant that he was being completely serious.
"Got it. I would never harm her, I swear. She's an amazing person, Alex. I really do feel like I'm falling in love with her because she's amazing. She makes me laugh, she makes me happy and I've started to day dream about her, sometimes just her face and her smile, but still. It's perfect because it's her." Max began to grin as he spoke about Ocean, with Alex watching intently, his glare softening slightly.
"She's my sister, so if you love her, then by law, I have to give you the protective brother speech."
"Okay, what is it?"
"Break her heart, and I cut your balls off." Alex spoke quickly, having been preparing his speech for a long time. It didn't need a lot of words, so he figured that he would get the message across easily with what he had said.
Alex knew that Max cared for Ocean, that was evident, but he wanted to protect his sister the best that he could because she meant everything to him.
Her father had asked him to look after her before he died, so young Alex would be screaming at him, telling him to follow through with his promise to the dead Walker man.
So he was going to, no matter what.
"That seems fair. Thank you, Alex, for giving me your blessing for me to ask her on a date." Max smiled, gratitude evident all over his pale skin.
"Yeah, well, she might say no, so don't thank me yet."

"Max asked me out on a date."
Ocean Walker spoke in a hushed voice as she walked in to the Williams garage in order to see her brother, George, with the face of the British man filling with fake shock.
"Oh? Did he?"
"You knew... how did you know?" Ocean released a small huff, one of her eyebrows raised upwards as she wondered how her brother had known what had only just happened a couple of minutes before.
"Alex told us to get ready to kill him."
George Russell admitted quickly, having instantly been caught by his reaction, since Alex had called Charles, Lando, and himself not long after he had given his blessing.
"Oh my God. You don't need to kill him, none of you do." Ocean released a small scoff from her lips, her eyes rolling in to the back of her head momentarily.
"So you said yes?"
"You can report back to your accomplices that I did say yes, but it's not a big deal, okay? It's just a date. I'm not flying out to Vegas to marry him tomorrow." The Walker girl informed as such, her insides doing small little somersaults since it had taken her by surprise.
A good surprise, but still a surprise.
"I know that... tell that to Lando." George laughed lightly, his hands lightly resting on her shoulders so that he could pull her in to a hug, finding her arms snaking around his waist softly.
"The only way that Lando would get it is if I smack him with an axe... but that's apparently a crime." Ocean giggled as she rested amongst the arms of the tall English boy, happy that he didn't react badly.
Then again, he already knew.
"Want me to help you get ready when the time comes? You know that I'm good with fashion." George grinned cheekily, a teasing look evident amongst his eyes which she recognised instantly, their pair releasing small laughs.
"No thanks, I think I've got this." Ocean laughed, shaking her head from side to side a couple of times. "You'd probably try and sabotage me, so I'm better doing it on my own."
George smiled brightly as he watched his sister walk away from him, her phone held within her hand, with the young woman quickly typing a message out to somebody who she knew would help her and who she could trust in the situation.
ATLANTIC: Need a stylist for a date, you in?
KING ARTHUR: Send me the details, I'll bring my best judgy face just for you.
Ocean Walker smiled down at her phone when she read his reply, with the youngest Leclerc sibling always being there to give her fashion advice, something that he had done ever since she had become friends with Charles and since he was a child.
Her blue eyes shot up abruptly at the sound of a certain voice, her irises instantly finding another set of blue, the pair of them instantly smiling at one another.
It was strange, instantly recognising Max's voice and searching for it, because she had never done that before, for anybody. Yet, she had just done it without thinking for the Dutch man.
Maybe she did like him in that way.
It wasn't a bad thing, she really did like being around and hanging out with Max, in a friend way, but she didn't know how different it would be to be in a romantic way.
She didn't know too much about romance that wasn't from romance movies and books, so she would essentially be going in to the date blind. She hoped that she didn't so something stupid and embarrass herself, or something that would make him regret asking her on the date.
Maybe she would speak to somebody who was great with the whole 'dating' thing.
"Oi! Carlos, you got a minute?" Ocean screamed at the top of her lungs as she spotted the Spanish man outside of the Mclaren garage, his head shooting upwards at the sound of her voice.
Carlos Sainz smiled happily as his friend ran towards him, a smug feeling within his chest since he knew why she most likely was doing so, because his team mate was unable to keep his stupid mouth shut.
"For you, of course."
