"It's quite a peaceful morning, don't you think?"

Ocean Walker found herself smiling as she relished in the sunlight, the golden beams of sunrise shining down on to her face, her eyes closed as she bathed it in.

She hadn't slept since she had done a long shift at the training hospital, and she had known that she would not be able to sleep, so she had exited her brothers apartment at four thirty in the morning to go for a walk across the beachfront of Monte Carlo, and text her friend to join her.

Because, why not?

"Absolutely, we've got vegan milkshakes, a sunrise, and a beautiful woman."

Max Verstappen smiled as he sat opposite the Walker woman, his eyes only concentrating on her, even though the sunrise was nice, she was so much more beautiful.

He felt pride erupt within his chest as he watched her laugh, her cheeks lightly tinging a shade of pink as she blushed, smiling at her hands as she refused to meet his eyes.

Ocean didn't quite know what to say. She was flattered, of course she was, but how was she supposed to respond to the compliment?

She wasn't very good at taking and accepting compliments, so she had no idea what to do or what to say.

Why was she speechless? What was wrong with her?

"Uh, thanks, dude."

Ocean mentally face palmed as soon as the words came out of her mouth, lifting her hands up to her face to bury her head within them from the embarrassment.

Max's face screwed up at the word's leaving her lips, trying not to laugh from her reactio, which he couldn't help but find adorable.

"Uh, let's pretend that I never said that, because what the fuck!" Ocean giggled, cringing at her own stupidness, wanting the world to open up and swallow her whole.

How embarrassing.

"Yeah, no problem, dude." Max teased her with a smirk, watching as her face got more and more red from the embarrassment.

He loved the way that she always got embarrassed because to him, it was just so cute.

Her nose would scrunch up tightly, her ears would go bright red, she would pull a disgusted look, which was very cute, her hands would cover her face, she would either squeal or laugh in such a way that it always made his face light up in to a bright smile.

He knew that he liked her, really liked her in fact, so he knew exactly what he had to do next.

He had to tell Alex.

Alex would be against it at first, probably telling him to fuck off or something, but he would show that he really did care for Ocean and all that he wanted for her was the best because that was what she deserved.

If he was able to prove that he cared for and liked Ocean, then he knew that Alex would accept him, because if he just didn't acknowledge Alex's dedication to protecting her, it would cause so much drama which had the possibility to upset Ocean and he would never do that.

Alex was her life, her best friend and her brother all in one.

He had to respect that.

So, he had to tell Alex.

"You're up early."

George Russell smiled as he watched his sister enter his apartment at six o'clock in the morning, his face tired but happy to see her, even if he was confused as to where she had been.

"So are you."

Ocean Walker responded with ease, hanging up her handbag and removing her shoes before she greeted her brother with a hug, finding his chin nestling on to the top of her head.

"The sunrise woke me up. I was just grabbing some breakfast, want some?" The Russell boy offered some cereal to his sister, noticing how she shook her head from side to side.

"No thanks, I made a salad, which was delicious." Ocean smiled, jumping up on to the kitchen counter with ease.

"How was Max?"

"Huh?"

"Max. How was he?"

George couldn't help but smile at the shock plastered over his sisters face, finding it funny that she thought that he would not know.

"Did he text you?"

"Nope, I saw him walking you to the door, my bedroom does have a window, remember?" The Russell boy cackled at how his sister physically slapped herself in her face with her hand, his smile growing in to a grin.

"He's my friend, I figured that he would be the only one awake, so I messaged him, and he came to meet me." Ocean explained, noticing how George was nodding his head up and down a couple of times.

"I know. I guessed that you finished your shift and went for a walk to clear your mind once you got changed. You don't have to explain yourself to me, Oce." George gently rested his hand on to his best friends knee, offering her support since he could see it on her face that she was holding something back.

"He complimented me, and I said, 'thanks, dude'. Like, who does that?"

"That would be you."

George smiled, small chuckles leaving his lips at the mere thought of Ocean calling Max, dude. He couldn't help it, it was funny.

Ocean released a tired yawn as she stretched her body out, jumping down from the kitchen counter as she began to feel sleepy, her body moving towards her bedroom before she stopped at the sound of George's voice.

"Oce, I know that you need a place to stay, and you're welcome to stay for as long as you need. The others live a couple of doors away. They won't be upset if you stay permanently here. You need a place to call home, not a schedule deciding where you'll be sleeping. You have a home here, whenever you want it."

Ocean Walker turned her body around and walked back to her brother in order to hug him, her arms wrapping once again around his tall and thin frame.

"Thanks, dude."

Arthur Leclerc refused to move.

Not even an inch.

How could he? Ocean Walker, his pretty much adopted big sister, was fast asleep with her head resting on his shoulder, and he knew that if he moved that he would wake her up, and he would also be hit by his official big brother, Charles.

So, he stayed as still as he possibly could to let her sleep since he knew how exhausted she was, having completed a very long shift as well as a very big study session whilst still managing to make it to watch Charles race.

She deserved the rest.

Plus, there was a red flag out on the track, so she wasn't missing anything.

She would occasionally stir slightly but would immediately fall back asleep as the young Monégasque kept singing a soft lullaby to her, in French, of course.

"Merde!"

Charles Leclerc shouted loudly as his team mate accidentally spooked him, with the German man, Sebastian Vettel, apologising instantly, his voice hushed.

Arthur's eyes widened in fear of waking his big sister up, his lips moving to sing the lullaby to her before his racing heartbeat even had a chance to slow down.

Charles and Sebastian both laughed quietly at the boys' actions, only laughing harder when he flipped the both of them off, his hand moving to cover Ocean's ears so that she could not hear the sound.

"Don't worry, Atlantic, I've got you."
