So, I'm just gonna say 'fuck that' to the X-men timeline(s?) because they're so fucking confusing, and I want to use characters that exist in that universe, despite this taking place in the future. There may be characters that don't even go to Xavier's school in the story as students. Again, 'fuck that' to the timeline.

The next week was spent packing up things he would need for his room in the dorms that they had at the school. Charles had informed them that he would be sharing with another boy, but he could decorate half of the room however he wanted. Each room was equally split in half with a desk, bed, and bulletin board on each side. There was a communal bathroom at the end of each hallway with shower stalls and sinks that each hallway shared.

Izuku had decided to bring his notebooks and a few photos with his dad for the bulletin. He also had one picture from when he still lived with his mother. It was in a frame and he hadn't looked at it in at least a year if the fact that it was shoved into the back of his closet was any indication. Though, he decided to bring it anyway.

Izuku had also filled out his class schedule. He had wanted to take the hero class right away, but until he really perfected his mutation, he wouldn't be admitted. Good news, it was only one year long and you could take the Pro Hero License Exam. And there was no age limit on getting a license, so as long as he really spent the first year working on his quirk, he would be able to get into the hero class and (hopefully) become a hero by the time he was eleven.

A week after the meeting, on Thursday at four in the afternoon, Izuku left his other parent behind, this time of his own volition.

"I'll miss you, Izuku. Be sure to call often. I'll see you for fall break in a while, okay?"

Izuku, ever the crier, just bawled as he wrapped his arms around his father, trying his best to respond, but the tears stopped any of the words he may have been able to force out at the moment.

Once he gained his voice again, he finally replied.

"I will. I'll miss you, too. I'll work hard while I'm there so I can become a hero, then I'll come back to you and show you my hero license."

His father nodded, tears brimming in his eyes. Izuku wasn't sure he'd ever seen his father cry.

They hugged again before Izuku made his way to the car waiting on the street outside the house. Logan was driving, so Izuku felt a little better knowing that he already knew someone at the school.

"You nervous, kid?" Logan asked as Izuku slid into the seat next to him.

"Yeah, just a little," A hand wrapped around his shoulder and he looked up to see Logan staring down at him with a little grin on his face.

"I'm sure everyone will like you. Just remember that a lot of these kids have pretty bad pasts, so don't go asking about their past if you start asking about their mutation, alright?" Izuku nodded resolutely. He just hoped nobody would absolutely hate him.

At school, Logan lead him to a room with his suitcase in tow. As they opened the door, Izuku saw a boy inside. He seemed to be meditating as he floated above the bed, legs crossed and body seeming to glow. Izuku was hesitant to interrupt (it seemed like a private moment) but Logan had no qualms disrupting the other boy's peace.

"Billy, your roommate is here." He called out, knocking on the door.

The boy's glow faded as he slowly dropped onto the bed. When his eyes opened, he smiled at the shorter boy as he stood in the doorway.

"It's your room, too. Come on in," He got up off the bed and walked over, offering his hand. "I'm Billy Kaplan, nice to meet you."

Izuku took the hand, shaking it as he rushed to introduce himself.

"I'm Mido– er, Izuku Midoriya." Izuku inwardly cringed at the terrible introduction. Billy just stared for a minute before speaking again.

"Yo," Izuku looked up from the spot that had suddenly become very interesting on the floor. "Can I call you Mido?" Billy smiled as he asked, slinging an arm over Izuku's shoulder and leading them both further into the room. Izuku noticed that Logan had left him alone in his new room.

"Sure," He answered easily. He managed to hold himself back from asking about his mutation. He could ask later.

For the next year, Izuku made friends at the school, practiced with his powers, and did schoolwork. He visited his father at every break, glad that the bus trip to and from was only a few hours.

Over the winter break, Izuku had offered Billy to come home with him since he always stayed at school over the breaks. It had been quite embarrassing when they realized he was Jewish in their Christian home. Billy had told them it was fine, but Hisashi just wouldn't stand for it. He went out and bought a menorah for them that only held little birthday candles, so they could celebrate Hanukkah. It had been even more embarrassing to learn that the holiday had already passed.

But Billy, happy that they had gone through so much trouble for them, lit a candle each night anyway. He also happily sat with them in the living room as they all opened gifts on Christmas morning.

After winter break was when they all realized that Izuku's wings weren't the only ability he had.

Billy had dubbed it 'catastrophe', Izuku just called it bad luck. He could pretty much just make the chances of bad things more likely, which he deemed fitting with his pitch black wings. After a while, he finally learned how to direct his bad luck to certain places.

Nonetheless, Izuku managed to pass the Pro Hero License Exam at the end of his second year at Xavier's school, the same year as Billy passed his test. Izuku had chosen the hero name Catastrophe while Billy decided on Wiccan.

Needless to say, Billy had all but exploded with pride at being Izuku's inspiration for his name.

During his third year, two new girls came to the school. First was a girl from Nigeria, Idie Okonkwo. She didn't talk much at first, but by the end of the year, she had joined Billy and Izuku in their friend group. A few months after Idie, a girl from Tokyo, Noriko Ashida came to the school. She joined their friend group quite quickly, and happily showed off her special gauntlets that Hank had made for her to help control her power.

Noriko and Izuku especially bonded, being able to speak to each other in their native languages. He even went as far as to begin calling her 'Nori-chan', which she had punched him for the first time, but Izuku was nothing if not stubborn. She had also laughed at him the first time she saw his favorite t-shirt.

"Why does that shirt say pants?" She had asked as they all sat in Billy and Izuku's room to 'study'. Not that they were actually getting any studying done.

"Wait, that's what it says?" Billy turned to Izuku, betrayal painted across his face. "Mido, you told me it was an ancient saying about honor."

"Nah, but the joke was really funny while it lasted." He deadpanned, causing Noriko and Idie to laugh at Billy's face that just grew even more sad than it had been before.

They had become a troublesome quartet that always seemed to be planning something. Izuku and Noriko had taught Billy and Idie Japanese, and after a while, they could hold a fairly advanced conversation.

They had even grown close enough to slowly tell each other their histories, one by one. Each time they had all gathered around the one to share and pulled them into a group hug as they all just sat together, bathing in the love of their friends. It was calming, Izuku found, after he had shared his own story.

All three of them joined Izuku on winter break after that. They all joined in on the new tradition of lighting the menorah, even if the holiday had already passed. Hisashi even made sure to get gifts for them all so they weren't awkwardly sitting on Christmas morning. They became family.

By the end of the next year, they had all gotten their hero licenses, and decided to form a hero team. Noriko had picked the hero name Surge, and Idie had chosen Oya. They decided together to become a hero team.

Once Charles had approved their idea for a hero team, they had designed their costumes.

Billy's had consisted of a one-piece outfit in a dark color with a different material that looked like it contained the galaxies over his arms and down both sides of his body. Over that was a red cape and a belt which had the X-Men symbol on the buckle. On his head he wore a metal head-guard.

Noriko had decided on a tight, yellow crop top with the X-Men symbol on the chest and cutouts over her shoulders down into her chest. Her pants were loose, a dark grey color with big 'X's on the knees and another on her belt buckle. Izuku was starting to think that those were the only belts Xavier owned.

Idie had chosen a simple black and white bodysuit. It had a white base with a black line going down the middle from her neck, splitting to go down each leg. The X-Men symbol lay on her chest, interrupting the black line.

Izuku picked a loose cropped t-shirt with a large, white, 'X' from his shoulders to the bottom of the shirt over his chest that had slits cut for his wings. His pants were high-waisted, armored, fabric that still allowed him to fight. Each leg had an arsenal of weapons strapped to it. Over the whole thing, he wore a long, brown trench coat with a multitude of pockets inside of it and long holes in the back that closed up with a few buttons at the bottom.

Their first mission: protect the students of class 1-A at U.A. High School from the villains that have been frequently attacking.

This should be fun.

Idie is pronounced "ih-dyay".

Yo, we've finally introduced the new Dekusquad. Although since he isn't really 'Deku' in this story, I guess it's just the Izusquad. Ooh, or since Izuku's new nickname is Mido, maybe Midosquad. I don't know.

Let's also just get the ages out of the way here and now; Izuku (15), Billy (16), Idie (16), Noriko (17).

(I also just realized that the dynamic they have going on is literally the sibling anthem check)
