"Today was the longest day of my life." She heard Yoongi groggily utter from her comfortable position, sprawled out on his California king bed.
The grueling wedding reception was unceasing in the large, rose-adorned ballroom of her husband's family mansion. They actually thought they may never be able to slip away from the onslaught of well-wishers all night. Worse, the bride didn't even know who the hell three-fourths of their guests were.
The only person that made her endure everything was the man beside her. She knew Yoongi was just as miserable as her the whole time. They were together in their suffering; it was almost romantic.
However, the second they entered Yoongi's bedroom, all of her weariness melted away. Now, her mind was all over the place, and her body was itching to get out of her custom-made Vera Wang gown and be somewhere else, preferably far away from the loud celebration downstairs.
"What now?" She asked the mobster who was sitting on a recliner, sipping his glass of Scotch neat.
"I don't know about you but I'm going to finish my drink, take a shower, then get some goddamn sleep."
Jennie snorted, "but it's our wedding night. Shouldn't we be doing something less boring than sleeping?"
Yoongi raised an eyebrow at that, a knowing smile formed in his thin lips. "What are you proposing, Jennie?"
Rolling her eyes at her husband's playful expression, she said, "most definitely not what you're thinking."
"Why not?"
She narrowed her eyes at him. Her husband must be out of his mind if he thought they could consummate their marriage on their wedding night when they were basically strangers to one another. "Let's get one thing straight here. You are not getting any tonight, Yoongi, so you better bury that expectation six feet under."
"Eh, there's no harm in trying," he shrugged and took a sip from his glass again.
She chose to ignore his side comment and just scrolled through Instagram to see the hundreds of photos of the wedding tagged to her account by their guests and several news outlets.
Then, the unrelenting thump of music from the ballroom seemed to get even louder, making Jennie groan. "Why don't we just get out of here? We won't be able to sleep with that noise outside anyway."
"Where to?"
"Somewhere quiet, perhaps? I don't know many places here in Seoul so why don't you surprise me..." She grinned at Yoongi before disappearing into the bathroom.

The newly-wedded couple was successful in their mission to get out of the house undetected. Dressed in black attires, they slipped into the mansion's massive garage to get to Yoongi's white Ford Mustang. But, the guy seemed to have a different plan in mind when he went straight into the back of the large space brimming with sports cars.
"Where are you going? Your car's right over here." Jennie called out, but her husband just gestured at her to follow him.
They stopped in front of a car draped with gray cloth. When Yoongi swiftly pulled the fabric off, a loud gasp tore out of Kim Jennie's red lips.
In front of her was a matte black Porsche Panamera in all of its glory.
Her wide eyes turned to Yoongi who seemed to be closely watching her reaction.
"What is this?"
"Your wedding present."
"I thought the diamond necklace was my wedding present?"
"No, that was your engagement present."
Oh my fucking God. "Are you kidding me right now?"
His gummy smile appeared out of thin air. "I'm not."
"Are you for real? This is my dream car, Yoongi!"
"I know," his cute grin morphed into a playful smirk.
"How?"
"I have my sources."
"That sounded borderline freaky but I don't even care about that now," she touched the hood of the Panamera, feeling incredibly overwhelmed.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Are you trying to buy my loyalty, Min Yoongi? Because if you are... then it's fucking working!" Jennie squealed and enveloped him into a surprise hug. "Thank you."
She felt the mobster stiffen for a second but his chest eventually shook with quiet laughter, "you're welcome, Jennie." He handed her the keys. "Let's take her out for a drive."

"Don't tell me this condominium is owned by Bangtan, too." Jennie hissed at her husband as they rode an elevator to the top floor of a high-rise building in Dogok-dong. The place was apparently one of Yoongi's go-to places when he needed some quiet time, too.
"It's not," her spouse paused for a second, "Namjoon's family does."
She scoffed, "same difference," then glanced at the screen of her smartphone.
Her message inbox and Twitter mentions were already flooded with messages of congratulations from her friends back in NYC. It was also not surprising to see that people she hadn't even met before — mostly politicians and business magnates — were also sending their regards. She knew it was all because of who her husband was, of course.
The top floor of the building turned out to be a beautiful rooftop garden sprawling with roses in red, pink and white. It also boasted a panoramic view of the Gangnam District. The two took a seat on the portable folding chairs near the railings, and just soaked in the calm atmosphere and remarkable sight below them.
"I would've never imagined our wedding night to turn out like this."
Yoongi lit a cigarette. "Did you think we'd be plotting each other's homicide instead?"
"Something like that," Jennie laughed. "You're not as terrible as I thought you were."
His expression suddenly turned serious as he slowly inhaled then blew out gray smoke through his nose. "Don't be fooled though. I'm not a good person, Jennie."
"No shit, Sherlock," she rolled her eyes. "I'm well aware that I just married the future boss of the largest crime syndicate in this city. I might as well be Greek goddess Persephone, queen of the underworld."
And now, I'm just blabbering nonsense, she thought dryly to herself.
"So, I'm Hades now, eh?" The amusement was back in his low, husky voice. His playful demeanor was something she was starting to take notice of.
Jennie arched a perfectly-shaped eyebrow. "Why? You got a problem with that?" She kidded. Her husband only smirked in response and continued smoking his cancer stick. "I've been thinking since we're married now and we don't know anything about each other... we need some marriage ground rules, don't you think?"
"What do you have in mind?"
"Well, for starters, I don't want any secrets between the two of us especially if it concerns the other party." She gave him a meaningful look. "A successful marriage is built upon trust, after all. So if you want me to trust you, you need to trust me, too."
"That sounds reasonable." Yoongi slowly nodded, "anything else?"
"I'm also still not buying that whole bodyguard plan of yours so I have a proposal for you..." When it looked like the mobster was about to argue, she quickly continued her statement, "yes, yes, I know you've already said that you won't be compromising about my safety ever but I'm your wife now, so you don't have any choice but to meet me halfway," she cheekily grinned.
He heaved out an annoyed sigh. "No."
"But you haven't even heard about my plan yet!" Jennie pouted.
"Whatever it is, it's still a no."
She gave him the most ingenuine smile she could muster. "I don't think it has fully sunk into you yet that you didn't marry a regular bitch. You will hear me out one way or another, Yoongi."
Her husband's glare made her feel uneasy for a few seconds but she stood her ground.
"As I was saying... your whole bodyguard plan still sounds dubious to me. I don't want some guy trailing me behind all the time. So why not just install a tracking device on my phone so you have firsthand knowledge of my whereabouts every minute of the day? But here's the catch, I'll install one in yours, too." She smirked. "All is fair in love and war, right?"
Yoongi's continuous glare at her can melt gold bars. "No fucking way."
"Why not? My plan was brilliant!"
He exhaled a cloud of smoke again. "You failed to put into consideration that me knowing where you are all the time doesn't necessarily ensure your safety. Besides, I need someone I trust to quickly take action if you're ever in danger and only a bodyguard can see to that."
God, I cannot win against this guy, she sighed.
"Do you have any more ground rules?"
The girl shook her head no. Her good mood was shut down just like that.
"Well, I have one."
The four little words piqued her interest. She gazed at her husband and waited for him to continue.
"There won't be any other man for you, Kim Jennie. I'll guarantee that," Yoongi finally said.
The girl was taken aback; she didn't doubt him for a second. Still, she could not resist teasing him. "But women are okay?"
Yoongi narrowed his eyes at her in a teasing manner. "Tempting... but I will have to say no to that as well. I expect this marriage to be completely monogamous, Jennie."
"Fair enough," she chuckled, "but kidding aside, I won't have it any other way, too."
The mobster nodded to himself. "Good." He lit another cigarette. "I see potential in our partnership and that's saying something."
"Well, didn't you know, Yoongi?" She beamed. "We're a match made in hell."
