Chapter 02: Girls Meet Evil
When they were finally inside the mansion, a red-haired mobster approached Jennie and delivered a message from the groom himself. Yoongi wanted to talk to her in private first before they faced their guests together.
The bride heavily sighed. "Fine. But the others are coming with me." The mobster shrugged nonchalantly in reply.
They followed him through brightly-lit hallways. When the mobster opened a set of double doors, an unforgettable sight of the Bangtan Sons was the first thing Lisa saw.
The seven of them were leisurely hanging out around the center of a huge library, five were sitting around the sofa set while the other two were standing near the balcony. They were chatting amongst themselves while holding their glasses of liquor.
BTS halted mid-conversation when the girls finally came into view. Then, seven pairs of brooding eyes were staring directly at them.
What struck the youngest first was how unimaginably attractive the seven mobsters were; their images posted on the internet didn't do them justice at all. The girls practically knew all of their faces like the back of their hands, and yet Lisa was still kind of spellbound when she finally saw them in the flesh.
Glancing at the striking face of Kim Seokjin, Lisa wondered for the longest time — since she first saw a photo of him when she was only sixteen years old — how a person can be this inhumanely gorgeous.
Dubbed by the media as "Worldwide Handsome", the 25-year-old mobster was famous for opening exclusive clubs in Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong, Las Vegas and more. In actuality, Lisa had a petty schoolgirl crush on the guy and she was not ashamed of it. Unfortunately, Seokjin was already in a relationship with supermodel, Bae Joo-hyun.
Her eyes turned to the rugged face of Kim Namjoon. According to Jisoo's research, the tall and intimidating mobster was already regarded as the best sharpshooter in Bangtan at the mere age of 23. They were also told that he was the brains behind their operations: the ultimate money-maker.
Then, there was Jung Hoseok who Lisa secretly fangirled over. Jennie accidentally saw a short clip of him street racing on Instagram two years ago. Upon learning that he was a member of BTS, the girls followed him on social media. Lisa was some of his biggest fans in the world, but he didn't need to know that... yet.
Her eyes landed on Park Jimin and the 19-year-old can't help but admire the mobster's perfectly chiseled jawline. Some of her friends back in NYC actually called him 'sex on legs' after he appeared on Vogue Korea late last year. There was only one thing to know about Park Jimin; he was a notorious fuckboy on the loose.
Min Yoongi was seated on the right side of the sofa set and stood up when his gaze fell upon his fiancée. He was the son of Bangtan's current boss and, predictably, the leader of BTS. All they knew was that Yoongi was an aloof and ruthless SOB which was only expected of the mob's future boss.
Diverting her attention from the ones sitting down the sofa, she gazed at Kim Taehyung, the mysterious member of BTS who she was most wary about. Their attempts of digging any information about the guy over the years were futile. In the end, the girls still didn't know a single thing about the mobster which made him the most dangerous of them all.
Finally, her attention averted to Jeon Jungkook, the infamous Golden Maknae. He was allegedly the strongest member of Bangtan and was also Yoongi's cousin. Rumor has it that the 20-year-old became an official member of the mob at the age of fifteen which was a feat in itself.
Lisa still can't wrap her head around the fact that she was fangirling over One Direction when she was at that age while this guy was already doing god-knows-what with his hyung-deul.
Seeing their leader stand up, the rest of BTS followed suit. There was a short moment of awkwardness as everyone stared at one another, unsure of how to break the ice. Jennie took it upon herself to start the conversation.
"The guy said that you wanted to talk?"
"Yes, but I wanted to speak with you privately." He sighed, obviously annoyed at the presence of everyone else who was in the library. "Let's just go to my study," he continued in his low voice.
"Now, ladies and gents, if you'll excuse us..." Yoongi uttered before the engaged couple walked out of the room together.
Hoseok then strolled towards the remaining three with a warm smile plastered on his beautiful face. Lisa felt the sudden urge to fangirl over him. But, she needed to keep her cool so she gave him the sweetest smile she could muster instead.
"Good evening ladies, I'm Hoseok. You must be Kim Lalisa, Kim Jisoo, and Park Chaeyoung... three-fourth of EXO's princesses, if I'm not mistaken?" Lisa's smile instantly turned to a frown at his remark.
As the only four daughters of the high-ranking officials in the mob, the wretched nickname 'EXO's Princesses' was bestowed upon them since they can remember. It didn't sit well with any of them all these years.
"Well yes, except for that last part. We're not really fond of being called that, Hoseok-ssi", Jisoo commented.
"I see. I apologize Jisoo-ssi," he then introduced the rest of his members.
Hoseok and Seokjin were quite welcoming to Blackpink which surprised the youngest. They made small talk with the girls, asking about NYC and such. Apparently, Seokjin was going to open his first club at the Big Apple soon.
The girls made themselves comfortable on one of the sofas beside the two uncharacteristically friendly mobsters. Taehyung and Jungkook also had taken their seats across them. The former remained quiet as he took sips of his own drink. The latter, on the other hand, was busy going through his phone.
"What's taking them so long?" Namjoon commented out of the blue, referring to the engaged couple.
"They're probably screwing already hyung," Jungkook quietly snorted but, the remark reached Lisa's ear. She gave him a cold look, not liking his joke a single bit, but got distracted with his dashing looks instead.
His hair was lustrous as an onyx stone and his sharp nose looked like it was sculpted by Michelangelo himself. And don't even get her started on his luscious lips which she suddenly had the urge to touch just to see if it was as soft as it looked. It wasn't hard to admit to herself that she would gladly stare at his face all day if she could get away with it.
Pull yourself together, Kim Lalisa, before you start drooling, she scolded herself.
Then, all of a sudden, Jungkook looked up from his phone and caught her eyes with his penetrating gaze, successfully pulling the girl out of her reverie. To say that Lisa was horrified to be caught ogling at someone she just met was a bit of an understatement.
Look away, you idiot. Look away now!
But, as if she was in some kind of diabolical trance, she couldn't keep her eyes off of him. The two held each other's gazes for a couple of seconds. But to the brunette, it felt like an eternity. It was cliché through and through, but it was the absolute truth.
The engaged couple's appearance forced the two to finally look away from each other, much to Lisa's dismay.
"Let's get this party started," Hoseok announced as everyone stood up and walked out of the library.
Throughout the walk to the ballroom, Lisa could feel someone's gaze at her exposed back. It felt like her skin was on fire despite the cool atmosphere. And she would bet a million dollars that it was the Golden Maknae's.

Upon entering Yoongi's study, Kim Jennie instantly felt her defenses slowly cave away as the mobster's gaze fell upon her again. Her face remained stoic but deep inside, she couldn't help but feel intimidated by Min Yoongi. Worse, he looked impeccable with his black tuxedo and disheveled black hair.
Jennie would be lying if she said she didn't find Yoongi attractive at all. The man was incredibly gorgeous, and she hated it.
"Let's cut to the chase, shall we? We both didn't choose to be a part of this marriage and yet, we have no choice but to follow it through. I know you don't like me and frankly, I understand." Jennie was stunned into silence with his little speech. "Hence, I have a proposition. Let's not make each other's lives hell after the wedding. What do you say?" Yoongi coolly stated.
"As you kindly mentioned, I don't have a choice here."
Yoongi continued staring at her. "You'll be staying at m— our penthouse after the wedding. Your stuff will be delivered there from the hotel by Saturday morning." He listed off robotically. "I will be assigning someone to guard you when you're not at the penthouse and I'm not around," he said it so casually, as if it wasn't a big deal at all.
"You're joking, right?"
"The bodyguard is for your protection," was his clipped reply.
Well, duh. "I don't need protecting, thank you very much."
"You may think you don't right now, but I have my fair share of enemies, Jennie. And as my future partner, you will become a target to get to me and Bangtan."
Having someone shadow her every move wasn't a new concept to Jennie. The four girls grew up with a bodyguard anyway; but, that changed when they moved to NYC. These past years, they were fortunate enough to live freely thousands of miles away from their father and the mob. Now, she was afraid that they took that freedom for granted.
"No, I will never agree to that!"
"Who said that I needed your agreement on this? When it comes to your safety, I won't be compromising ever." His tone sounded final and she was ready to argue some more when the groom changed the subject completely. "Do you have plans on Thursday night?"
"No." Her eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "why do you ask?"
"Let's have dinner then. Just the two of us."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Are you asking me out on a date?"
"Call it what you want, I don't care," Yoongi replied. "The least we could do is talk before the wedding and ensure that we don't murder each other on our wedding night." The girl scowled at his answer.
After much deliberation though, she finally conceded. In all honesty, Yoongi's dinner invite made perfect sense.
A friendly dinner wouldn't hurt, would it? She thought as she gazed at his muddy brown eyes that looked like they were staring right through her.
