Chapter 47: The Life You Never Lose

Bonnie's P.O.V

"Bonnie!" Bonnie!" said someone nudging me. I opened my eyes slowly as I was able to see who it was. To no surprise to me it was Foxy. "Wake up dude, it's already almost one!" he exclaimed. I gave him a confused expression as I turned to face the clock hanging on the wall. He was correct, it was almost one. "I didn't expect you to wake me up so late, that's unlike you," I said. "Hey, it's the new me. After all you did ask for a new me," he said. "That is true. But I can't believe it's Monday already. Seems like that incident happened only yesterday, yet it has only been a couple of days," I said. "Either way, the toys came to visit again, not only that Freddy and Puppet want to talk with you," said Foxy. "About what?" I asked. "They wouldn't be saying what exactly. They only said it's personal," he answered. "I just hope it isn't about Springbonnie," I said hopping off the stage. "Who?" he asked. "Never mind. I'll explain later," I said walking past him. "If you say so. They be in the office," he said. "Thanks," I said. I walked into the area of the front entrance as I could see Mangle, Toy Bonnie, and Chica waiting. "Hey dude! What's up!" said Toy Bonnie being the first to greet me. "Nothing much. You?" I said. "Same old things happening at our pizzeria. Nothing to be exact. Though your place seems to attract all the trouble," he said. "Yeah. I guess," I responded. "You and your friends ok? I heard you were in terrible condition after you went against that shadow version of yourself," he said. "I'm fine now. The damage wasn't to severe," I responded. "That's good to hear. You want to hang out?" he asked. "In a little bit. I got to talk to Freddy and Puppet about some personal business. Then I need to pay visit to a couple of friends," I said. "Is one of them Chica?" asked Toy Chica. "Well... she is on the list of people I want to talk to," I responded. "We heard about the date with her. You two officially dating?" asked Mangle. I didn't responded, but with everyone's expression asking to know my response put me under pressure. It wasn't quite established since the rest of us have been recovering from the problems of last week. And since those couple days after the encounter of me and Springbonnie, it wasn't a primary focus. Though it still was a lingering thought. "That is yet to be determined," I responded as I walked away from them and to the managers office. I opened the door as I could see Freddy and Puppet on the other side of the desk waiting for me. "Bonnie, your late," said Freddy. "I know, just was talking to the toys," I responded sitting on the chair that was in front of me. "It's understandable. I'm guessing you're wondering why we called you here," he said. "Who wouldn't be," I responded. "It's about Golden Freddy," said Puppet. This statement now grasped my attention, mainly because I felt it was something bad about him. "What about him?" "As you remember we let him stay at the pizzeria after we fixed him Saturday and during that time there was a long discussion about him being here," explained Freddy. "You know how much I didn't like him and for good reasons." "I know. Thanks to Springbonnie," I responded. "After much consideration we decided to let him stay, and not only that but he'll be officially apart of the group," said Freddy. "You mean it?" I asked. "Yes. I always respected Golden Freddy for what he was. And his actions including his encounter with Shadow Freddy prove that," said Puppet. "I was always very reluctant on whether he was trust worthy or not, but with Shadow Bonnie and Shadow Freddy gone I can say he is one of us now. He's always been," said Freddy. "I also want to apologize for how I've been since we've arrived here." "You don't have to. This already presents itself as an apology," I said. "No I do. I never realized I was only pushing away my friends from me, and making room for my hatred," he said. "Including my family." "We've always been family and we'll forever be until the very end," I said. "Including they toys, Puppet, and Golden Freddy." "We got a party that's being set up, care to join?" Freddy asked. "I'll be glad to for a friend," I said with smile. "Now excuse me, I got some people to see." I got up as I was about to open the door but before I could I was stopped. "Bonnie!" said Freddy. I turned around as I waited for him to continue. "You sure do deserve Chica, even if I disapproved it. Don't let anything now from making her your girlfriend." I nodded as I grabbed the door knob, though I was stopped once again. Only this time, I was the hand that prevented me from leaving just yet. "Puppet, I don't blame you for being the reason why Springbonnie and Fredbear took matters into their own hands. All they wanted was something that was essential to them, and to all of us," I said turning around. "They just weren't looking the right way." "I don't take responsibility for them. Though I wish their thirst for their life's didn't control their path," he responded. "In the end though, they still got what they wanted. At least Springbonnie," I said before opening the door to walked out, while Puppet and Freddy looked at each other. As I walked out, I noticed the toys were gone. I walked over to the main entrance as I went into the main area. I could see Toy Freddy commanding all the toys to set up for the dinner Freddy had mentioned. I walked past them while making my way towards the right hall for the security office. As I was heading down it, as I could hear Mike screaming while I got closer to see what was causing him to freak out. Before I could even reach the door Golden Freddy suddenly appeared in front of me. "God dammit!" I said backing up in shock. "Sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you," he said immediately. "It's fine. I'm just not used to you doing that," I said trying to recover from that moment. "Since I am no longer required to act in secret, I am free to roam around more civilized," he responded. "So you already know you're allowed to be apart of the group?" I asked. He give me a face of confusion in response, showing he didn't know what I was a talking about. "I am not aware of this." "Well you're officially apart of the group now. You no longer have hide from us," I explained. "Well, I am deeply humbled to hear that. Perhaps I can establish a better relationship with this group now," he responded. "Right. I also came here to talk about a certain subject," I said. "And that may be about?" he asked. "Springbonnie. He told me about your fate before you were an animatronic, because of Purple Guy," I said. "I knew someone would eventually bring up the past. It was a traumatizing event, I will say. You could say my life was put into a different position then what it was before," he explained. "It took time and the will to adapt to my changed life. I was scared, and further more alone. My first real look at the animatronic world didn't comfort my fear as well. Freddy was the first one to notice I existed and quickly ignored me, especially when he discovered I was a prototype of a spring-lock suit. However Puppet had the heart to talk to me and help me adapt to this changed life." "I'm guessing something happened after," I said. "Unfortunately yes. When you and the others were transferred to this location, I was forced to be apart of it. They stored my suit in the kitchen, only to be a memory of what I once was," explained Golden Freddy. "But look at you now, you got a family again," I said trying to make him feel better. "Perhaps," he said. "I helped you get here. After I was fixed I talked to Freddy about making you an official member of the group. Not only that but you'll have the opportunity to perform in the day as well," I said. He looked at me quickly in interest, knowing it was something worth knowing the full details about. "Excuse me?" he asked. "I took the liberty of having Freddy send a letter to the company to show you'll be an official member of the group and the pizzeria," I said. "You did me a favor of helping me against Springbonnie, now I've returned the favor." "Well. I can say this is unexpected, but it is welcomed," he responded. "Now excuse me, I got someone to see," I said walking away. "Before you go," said Golden Freddy stopping me. I turned around to hear for what he had to say. "You never did tell me or the others who won. You or Shadow Bonnie?" he asked. "First off let me say he's Springbonnie, not Shadow Bonnie. Second, nobody won in the end. The only results we got was the improbable solution," I said. I turned around as I walked out of the hall way and to the kitchen. I opened the door and just by looking at the first glance I was given it felt like things had changed for it only being a week. Chica was making pizza, as Foxy and Mangle were by the counter talking to one another and to Carl. "I be saying it correctly. What's off?" asked Foxy. "You gotta say it like how Carl does," said Chica. "Squeak," said Carl. "How the hell do you do this?" asked Foxy. "Shouldn't we be with the others? The party is starting soon," said Mangle to Foxy. "Hey lad! Stopping by for a snack?" asked Foxy noticing me. "Nah! Just saying hello," I responded. "Bonnie!" exclaimed Chica noticing me. She ran over to me as she hugged me, while I blushed in embarrassment. "Oh! Look at the two love birds!" said Foxy teasing me. "Squeakems," said Carl. "You going to show up at dinner?" asked Chica breaking the hug. "Well, now that the chaos is over I got all the time to spare," I said. I took moment to clear my throat before continuing on for what I had to say next. "I wanted to talk to you about our relationship, I know we started out pretty rough so I hope I can make up for it... That's if you want to even continue it." "Oh, well. Of course I do," she responded. "Really?" I asked to make sure I didn't mishear her. "Yeah. I had... well, feelings also for you. I just didn't have time to develop them," she said. "Oh... guess we shared the same intentions," I said. We both chuckled as then let the awkward moment of silence fill up the space for what I had to say next. "Chica," I said. "Yes?" she asked. A second later both of our lips were touching as I could feel warmth from it. It was soft yet relaxing, something I needed from all the trouble I went through last week. "SQUEAK! SQUEAK!" yelled Carl. "Shit, Bonnie be here getting love finally!" hollered Foxy. "Foxy let them have their moment," said Mangle. A moment later we finally broke our kiss, both blushing in embarrassment. "Heh. Didn't mean to make it feel awkward," I said." "No. It's fine," she responded. Suddenly both doors opened as Toy Freddy peered his head through the space he made. "Hey! The dinner is close to being ready, we could use some help!" he said. "Alright, we'll be right there," said Chica. She walked over to the oven as she took out the pizza, while she set it on the counter top. "Bonnie can you make sure to watch the pizza and bring it to the table when it cools down?" asked Chica. "Sure thing," I responded. "Oh hell ya! Carl, I got a good idea on how to get Mike. You'll come from the right side, and I'll come from the left, then-" said Foxy as he walked outside with the others while he voice trailed off. As I turned around to check on the pizza I was greeted by Springbonnie standing behind the counter. "Oh. I didn't expect you to show up," I said at once. "Did you forget about me so soon?" he asked. "No. I just wasn't sure if you would return," I said. "Well, I'm glad somebody still remembers me, and not in the way of how they remember me by fear," he responded. "Look. Springbonnie-" "Don't call me that! That was my previous life, now that is replaced by this one," he said cutting me off. "I can help you. I was able to get Golden Freddy to be apart of the group, I can do the same with you," I said. "We both know that's not possible," he said. "I know. I'm just trying to fix mistakes you made," I said. "Thanks, but that is my task I rightfully own," he responded. "After what I did, everyone here is going to think of the same thing when they see me. A power hungry person blinded by the promise to claim my prize. There is no sliver of salvation left to take." "You were just misguided, but I doubt that'll convince the others. They don't even know that you're still alive," I said. "And it's best to keep it that way. I don't deserve to stay here, I only belong in darkness that reminds me of the harm I caused upon this pizzeria," he said. "You should be lucky you have the necessity's for your life. You got what you wanted, and I got nothing." "Actually, you did get what you wanted," I said. He turned to face me while still behind the counter, curious to know the answer. "If you're referring to my life, then what you claim is that I have it, yet I don't feel like I have one," he said. "Maybe not a complete one. This whole time you've had your life with you, but your perception of not having one blinded you. I'm guessing you don't know what a life is," I said. "If I did I wouldn't have made these decisions," he responded. "Your life is your identity, it is the ability to give a purpose and show your own true self. That is why we're not the same. Sure we may have similarities, but that doesn't fully establish who we really are," I explained. "It's why I held back against you for so long, because I knew how to adapt and counter your strikes," I said. "So it appears that way. And yet it was the cause for why I couldn't see past it's blinding affect on me," he responded. "Let me ask you something, do you know what makes up a life?" I asked. "No I don't. Maybe it's why my life was able to so easily blind me," responded Shadow Bonnie. "Love, feelings, what you like, they all make up your life. They distinguish you from others since they are different," I explained. "And it's something you've earned," he added. "True. But not all those factors are given to you immediately when you first enter this world, some are earned by working towards that specific factor that is small yet essential of your life. They may make up a fragment of your life, but they still hold a strong sentimental value to you," I said. "The limited factors given to you at first provide you the necessary guide that you follow in order to find that certain factor you're looking for." "But look at me, I'm just someone who took the wrong path and that only took me to place where I could forget about those factors and stick with the ones I have!" he exclaimed. "There is no path for me to take in order to reclaim those factors of my life, they've have been closed off to give me no second chance. Only regret that'll be in the title of my name when you hear it." "It wasn't your fault, your emotions took over that's all," I responded. "No. I deliberately did all this to claim my life, only to reveal I had a corrupt life that was the one pulling the strings here," he said. "And now it calls to me again, yet this time it knows the fate I must pursue." "Then I guess there is no other way," I said. "No, the only thing that this will do is fix the wounds I caused to never heal. I must rejoice with my life, in the shadow world forever," he said. "And do what?" I asked. He looked at me before saying his answer. "This life embraced me, now I do the same." "So you think that'll fix everything?" I asked. "No, it won't. But it'll ease the pain I inflicted. It is my sentence for the sins I caused, maybe it's more severe then death," he said. "You have your life, and now I have mine. And it is destined to be accountable for it's and my actions." "You know I've come to realize we did win. The both of us," I said. "If I recall you mentioned that none of us won," he said. "That was before this moment. Your objective was to find you life and you found it. Mine was to find yours and I did so. I wanted to find it before to show we weren't the same. We never were," I said. "Well, I'm glad someone showed me how corrupt your life can be by changing you way of looking at things," he said said with a faint smile. "Now I feel it is time to be the one to punish myself for all that I have done," he said walking away. "You've done a lot for me, even for someone to almost ruin your life." "I never thought I could be friends with you, but that was before I understood what was the real source of your problems was," I said. "Things do happen in life that we never thought would occur," he said. He walked off to one of the walls, but not before stopping and turning around. "I learned my lesson, now I have some advice taken from that same lesson. Don't lose your factors apart of your life, especially the important ones. Don't lose Chica. Because one fragment broken destroys the barrier that keeps the life from shattering into chaos. The barrier that keeps you it from being destroyed," he said. "Don't lose your immortality for your life" "Bonnie is the pizza cooled down?" I turned to see Chica was standing at the door as I turned back around to see Shadow Bonnie was gone. "Yeah. It is," I said stilling looking at the spot Shadow Bonnie was. I turned around to grab the pizza as I put one arm around Chica's waist as we walked out. "So are you ever going to tell us what happened to Shadow Bonnie?" she asked. "All I can say is that he found his life after all. But how about I share the tell of Shadow Bonnie with the others. To show them what the life we hold grants us to use and how we never lose it," I said. "Because what it can do is adapt and change, as so do we."
