Chapter 15: Second Impressions Always Work
Bonnie's P.O.V
"Alright! I can do this! Don't be afraid, there's nothing to fear," I said to myself in front of the door for the kitchen. "Just remember Foxy's advice and I'll be good... Why am I even taking his advice in the first place?!" Now I was starting to doubt myself, and that wasn't helping my predicament. "Ok! For once Foxy I'll take your advice, and it better get me somewhere," I said to myself. "Squeak?" "Ahhh!" I said jumping a little from finding Carl behind me. "Oh, it's just you. You scared me," I said. "Squeak, squeak," he responded. "Um, I wish I understood what you were saying," I said. "Squeak. Squeak," he said slowly. "Hey look man, I know we're friends but that doesn't mean I speak cupcake. No offense," I said. "Squeak," he responded. "Ok, are you asking about what I'm doing?" I asked. He nodded in response as I looked away, not wanting to tell him the truth. He could tell Chica and I wouldn't even know it; he could say it front of me without me knowing. 'I'm not going to risk it,' I thought. "I'm just checking if she's busy right now. Just going to talk to her that's all," I said. He stared at me without saying a word, and that put the thought of him not buying my response into jeopardy. "Squeak," he said as he went into the kitchen thankfully leaving me to breath with no fear. "Alright, enough stalling! You got this!" I said reassuring myself as I stepped through the doors. As I walked in, I noticed the usual reoccurring things that happened in here. Golden Freddy sitting on against the wall away from anyone, and Chica making pizza. Sure, she had an obsession with pizza but who am I to choose for her on what she eats. "Really he didn't get scared?" asked Chica to Carl talking to him. "Squeakems," he responded. "Oh, poor thing! Don't worry I'm here for you," she said patting his head. "Well, I hope you have faith in me," I said looking at Golden Freddy. No answer, like I was expecting one anyway. "Um hey Chica," I said clearing my throat as well to get her attention. "Oh, hey Bonnie!" she responded happy as usual to see me. "You feeling alright now from earlier?" "I'm good now, thanks for asking. Hey. You ain't busy right now or anything?" I asked. "Well, I just finished making some pizza so ya, I'm free for right now," she answered. "Alright. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out for a little bit?" I asked. "Oh, I would enjoy that! I'll bring some pizza," she said as she grabbed some pizza on the counter top. "Great!" I responded. She started to grab some pizza while Carl starting talking over and over. "What's he saying?" I asked. "He wanted to know if he could come as well," she said translating for him. "Sorry bud, I just want it to be a me and her time," I said. "I'll hang out with you later ok?" I asked. "Squeak," he responded. "He's fine with it," she responded. "Cool. Let's head to the main room," I said. We walked out of the kitchen as we made our way towards one of the tables, while Chica carried a pizza box with her. "I'm glad you're ok now. Freddy's just... you know Freddy," she said sitting down. "Well it's something that makes us get used to. Though honestly I can't stand him," I said sitting down as well. "What about this Shadow Bonnie problem you mentioned? How bad is it? Who even is he?" she asked. I wanted to ignore the question or say 'forget about it' because I didn't want to focus on that problem, at least for right now. Yet I forced myself to talk about, for my sake. "It's... complicated. I found some information about him, but I haven't read what it contains yet," I answered. "I just... don't want to talk about it." "I understand," she responded. "So... have you been trying to get Mike?" I asked switching the subject around. "Not really. Foxy's trying to be the one who gets him, so I've stayed away from him," she said. "Yeah. I tried a plan with him and Carl but it failed," I said. "I know, he told me. He was disappointed that Mike didn't take him seriously," she said grabbing a piece of pizza. "I can't blame him," I said. "You talk to Toy Chica?" "Yesterday. She's doing fine and the same with the others. She said Toy Freddy plans on coming over with the others sometime soon maybe," she said. "It's been a week since we've seen them, so I hope we can make it happen," I said. "Have you been practicing your guitar lately?" she asked. "Yep! Been trying some tunes lately. Though I ain't no AC/DC on anything," I said. She chuckled a little at my joke; it was working. 'Damn second impressions seem to work a lot,' I thought. "Well, I'm glad that after all this time we're still friends," I said grabbing a slice of pizza. "Well what better best friend could I ask for?" she asked. "I could say the same," I said agreeing with her. "Especially a friend who could be something even more."
