Part Thirty Nine

The sky and the stars told a million stories. The beauty of the the sun going down and the peacefulness of it. Dom and I were laying under the stars and gazing at them. I smiled at Dom and suddenly thought about all the moments I've had with him. I was so thankful. I couldn't be more thankful. His beautiful smile was right at me when I just just grabbed his jaw and kissed him.

"I love kisses like that." Dom pulled back and smiled widely. True, I loved them too but Dom was a sucker for them. I couldn't help but laugh at his twitching nose. He kept itching it but it got more itchy and the more it did, the funnier it was.

The sweet smell of vanilla cascaded the night air.

"I can't wait for the date, Conor. I'm super excited."

Dom had been telling me all week that he was excited for what I had in plan. I felt my heart burst into a million flames when I thought about it. It was going to be super cute and adorable, something that fit him perfectly.

We had gotten the urge to split from the TV for a while and go outside. The night was cool, and the summer was starting to roll in. We all loved summer. The late nights were it was still light, beers and festivals and nights like these, under the stars.

Dom and I had already started looking at apartments and it made me excited.

"You know what?"

"Hm?" I mumbled on his chest, while our eyes reflected off of the bright burning stars.

"I can't wait to have a place of our own. A place to call home, together. We'll have good life and someday we'll get married,"

I started playing with the promise ring on my finger, smiling largely.

"We'll have a good life, that's what I've been hoping since, well, I developed feelings for you."

I got up and pulled him up beside me.

"You know you mean everything to me, right?"

"More than anything." I replied.

His lips crashed onto mine without warming, making me moan at the sudden movement. Doms hands were gripping and running across my jawline, making me hold his waist for balance.

He laid down and pulled me onto him so my legs were straddling his hips. A wave of air crashed, giving me some goosebumps but too distracted to care.

No one was about to see the makeout session so neither of us gave a shit.

His hands travelled my waist, making me smile against his lips. Then a burst of laughter escaped my throat. His hands were tickling my waist almost wanting me to scream laughing.

Phil's POV:

I sighed and took another drag of a cigarette, making my way to Conors and Doms place. I'd been feeling oddly depressed over the course of the last few days and needed a distraction. It was only eleven at night and I figured they were bound to be still up.

I heard laughter coming around the corner and noticed it was Conor. I rounded the corner and saw Conor and Dom with huge smiles on their faces, making my warm heart glow.

It made me unbelievably happy about Conor and Dom. About how far they had come.

"Hey." I leaned against the gate and laughed at Conor still being tickled.

"Help, PHIL!" I almost pissed myself laughing at the sound Conor just made.

"Please- help Phil!" Conor was becoming breathless by laughing so much, and Dom stopped, rolled over and laughed even more.

I think I just witnessed True Love.

"What's up man?"

"I just needed to see you guys. I feel depressed and you two just always make me feel happier." Conor shot Phil a loving smile.

"Let's go and get some beer." Conor pulled Doms hand and we went off into the apartment.

--

"We're here for you Phil. If you need to see someone professionally, it's no shame. We all love you, fuck, look how far we've all made it."

Conor smiled and gave Phil some reassurance.

"Conors right, Phil. We love you, dude." Phil looked down and smiled.

"I apologise if I disturbed you two or anything."

"Not at all. In fact, I think you kinda saved me because if you hadn't have came, It would have went on longer."    Conor laughed a little and shot a smart smile at me.

--

Eventually, It was one in the morning and Conor let me stay in the guest room. Dom also agreed and I was so happy to have loving best friends, I including Price and Joe. I looked at the white ceiling then heard Conor laughing from their room.

Both of them had a bright future, brighter than the bloody sun. I couldn't wait for their wedding, or seeing the excitement of Conors face when he got asked to marry Dom. They have loved eachother for many months and the past year and a half. I could see the excitement but nerves in Doms eyes and how worrisome he was about it.

The only thing I could do was reassure him. Conor would put his own life in danger for Dom to be safe, and little did he know, dom would do the same.

The bright smiles of them both, or when Dom hasn't seen Conor for a few hours, and the way he smiled at Conor and indulged him would bloody melt your heart.

The shared laughs and kisses, the hugs and the forgiveness of when they broke up, like it never happened.

It truly made me happy for Dom and Conor. Half the time I couldn't put into words how much they did.

Forever and ever more they'd love eachother like honey whiskey.

I laughed at Conors laughs, rolled over and shut my eyes.
