Half the school huddles around two people as a verbal argument turns physical. They chant "Fight. Fight. Fight." as the two engage one another.

This spot is the best spot for fighting on school grounds. It was a secret place. Not many teachers know about it. It is a very good place to fight because the only people at school who know about it are ones who have fought before or who have witnessed a fight. This means no one will stop them.

It is clear that one out of the two fighters is not here to battle. He wants nothing to do with this situation.

Today's fight is greatly motivated by anger and hatred. This is not a random fight because one offended the other. This is an act of someone looking for pure revenge.

For the other person involved, he just wants this to be done and over with. He doesn't want to become the next fighting sensation at school but most importantly, he does not want to hurt anyone.

The fight begins with the aggressor of the situation throwing a punch at the other. She stumbles back after hitting him. She is shocked that she has just done this. She would have never expected herself to stoop to this level.

Ethan inspects his jaw. He thinks it may be dislocated. It isn't. He got lucky the injury is not worse. He looks up at his best friend- well, ex-best friend now- in horror. What brought this about? Why does she want to hurt him?

Sophia swings at him again. Ethan is able to dodge her hand this time.

She just wants him to feel how she did when she found out he was the one who told everyone about her dad. Sophia wants to hurt Ethan. She wants to leave him on the ground sobbing and in pain the way she was.

More people are drawn to the site of the fight. They want to see who is fighting now and who will win this one. They continue to chant as the fight drags on.

Sophia looks at Ethan as he holds his jaw. "We have been friends forever Ethan. How could you do this to me?!" She shouts, spitting with rage.

"Do what?!" Ethan asks as she swings at him again, landing her fist on his shoulder.

"You told everyone about my dad!" Sophia yells. If anyone did not know what was going on, they know now.

"What do you mean? I told one person!" He shouts, trying to dodge yet another blow.

Ethan is not lying. He only told Carmen. It is unfortunate that he told her in front of the entire cheer leading team who overheard their conversation and spread the information like wildfire. But technically, he only told one person.

"It wasn't your secret to tell!" Sophia slaps Ethan's arm, her rage dying down as her stamina and energy fail to keep up with her.

She just wants to sleep and cry. She wants to hide from everything and everyone.

Noah pushes through the crowd to see what is going on. He sees Sophia and Ethan in the middle of the circle. Ethan's fists are balled up like he is ready to strike.

Ethan would never hurt Sophia but to Noah, it looks like Ethan is going to throw a punch or two at her. Noah is going to stop him before he can lay a finger on her.

He enters the circle, earning some shocked sounds from the crowd as the fight adds another person. Sophia turns and sees her rage-filled boyfriend charging at Ethan.

Noah lifts his fist and slams it into Ethan's face, breaking his cheekbone.

The whole crowd erupts with grunts and cheers as Ethan falls to the ground from the force of Noah's punch.

Noah turns and tries to grab Sophia. He wants to get her out of here before Ethan can get back up. Sophia shy's away from him. "Don't touch me." She says as she stares at her best friend laying on the ground clutching his face.

Out of nowhere, two security guards show up and begin disbanding the crowd. The bystanders run to their cars before they can be seen. No one wants to be arrested or caught for being here and witnessing the fight.

Noah begs Sophia to leave with him. She refuses. She has to stay and get punished for what she has done. Regret fills her body as the ringing in her ears falls silent.
