The amber light bathed his brown skin in a beautiful, warm glow that seem to also dance in his whiskey brown eyes. His curls bounced on top of his head as he chuckled, his lips brushing against mine as he leaned in closer. The night was cool and crisp around us, the summer fading to fall in the small, college town. I smiled and blushed, the blood warming my cheeks, as I trailed my hand to his neck,pulling him closer. Nerves and exhilaration flooded through me as he placed his hand on my waist and pulled me closer.

I don't know how to kiss him. Will he notice? The doubts creeping, like shadows as the day slips away.

But almost as an answer, he pressed his lips against mine, gentle like a question that I was too shocked to answer. My lips fumbled to try kiss back, resulting in a more clumsy lip smacking. I pulled back embarrassed, my voice coming out quietly,"Sorry, I don't know how to kiss you back."

He chuckled as he held me and whispered in my ear. "That's ok, we can just practice," a mischievous smile playing on his lips. I smiled then and feeling emboldened, I kissed his gorgeous smile. He was shocked at first, then he smiled into the kiss. He then tilted his head and deepened the kiss, sending goosebumps down my arm. He tasted of summer nights, warm whiskey, and tobacco, a taste I didn't know I wanted.

We finally broke, speaking softly to each other, our words carried in the summer breeze as we made our way back to the dorms.

This is from my writing blog, where I post mini scenes and more experimental thoughts and stories on, in addition to memes and music reviews(link in bio if interested). But I really thought this was a cute scene so I also placed it here. This is loosely based on my first kiss, which happened in college with a guy who was a couple years older than me, on my way back from a convenience store(we bumped into each other while I was getting snacks for my movie and he cigarettes). 

 I'm thinking of putting more excepts here so stay tuned. But don't worry, original stories are still going to be posted, I haven't abandoned this, just  my blog is for different things. 

Sorry for the infrequent posts, just got a job(at a home improvement store), but that has been occupying my time. Promise I will be getting to writing again soon, just a lot has been happening and I had to get myself together. Hope you are all doing well and keeping safe! Sending virtual hugs!
