In the morning, unfortunately, Alpha Christopher had to leave. Having so many Alpha's and upcoming Alpha's in one place too long can add tension to everyone in the area. It didn't matter if they were family or not. The only exception to the rule were sons, and soon to be Alpha's from another territory can go either way but so far so good. I think it had a lot to do with all having the same goals but different leadership styles. Goals such as protecting the innocent and killing my father. Well the man that was once my father.

Feeling much better and pretty damn close to feeling like my old self helped a lot with the man I consider my true saviour going back to his pack. Plus, listening to the stories of their childhood and mischief lead to an amazing night. Now I had to put all this energy into my training. I was confident in my skills but wanted to be better, so I took advantage of some of the other guards from different packs. We all train and fight so differently so it was a great opportunity to learn other styles. Even though I was enjoying my time with the warriors, the knowledge that Kai would be back in 3 days was like a solid mass in the back of my head.

Standing in the outer circle waiting my turn to spar, like many of the other warriors from the other packs, I take in all the different fighting techniques while not giving a lot of notice on what was going on behind me. Oh I was on guard but my sole purpose and attention were the 2 men fighting in the ring. Let me tell you these guys give a whole other meaning to MMA.

"When is it your turn? I haven't seen you fight since I left." I knew that voice, just like I knew he was talking to me.

Swinging around with a huge smile on my face. "Nick!" I went to give him a hug but then I stopped myself. "What the fuck are you doing here?! You should be with your mate! Oh my god don't tell me she rejected you? I'll kill her." And there goes my mood swings again.

Nick just laughed. It was then I could see just how happy he was. That put a smile back on my face and hope in my heart for him. "No, Mac, she didn't reject me. Thankfully. But I am still in the ass kissing stage of things. Trust me she is making me work for it." He laughed again before becoming serious. "But I had to come back. This is my pack and everyone is needed. I couldn't stay there not knowing what was happening. I wouldn't...couldn't respect myself if I stayed safe while the people I care about were fighting for their lives."

I would have loved to disagree with him but he was right. I wish I could have said that I still would have respected him but I am not sure if I would have. A part of me would love him to be safe with his new mate but the other part of me would have been disappointed if he let the people he grew up with hanging. All it can take is one person to change someone's future. So instead of agreeing or disagreeing with him I took the final step towards him and gave him that hug. "I am so happy for you. Treat her right now. Also I am glad you are here."

"Mac! You done with all the girly shit or what? You're up!" One of the warriors yelled out. One of these days I really have to start getting to know their names. Those words were all it took for me to step back and run to the ring.
