It's my first day of high school, I'm excited but I'm also kind of nervous. I walk into the school gate to see a massive crowd of year 9's waiting to go into the hall for the official greeting. "Brooke!?" I heard someone yell my name in the distance, I turn to the right, the girl is now running up to me. "Diana!?" I yell, I run and hug her. "I haven't seen you since year 4! I missed you so much!" I say squeezing Diana tight.
"I did to.. I'm sorry for leaving you.." I try to hide my true emotions, I want to cry of happiness! My friend Ellie walks up behind me "Morning Brooke, who's this?" She says pointing to Diana. "Oh, this is Diana. She was my best friend in year 1-4 until she left to go live in England.. There was no way we could talk, my parents didn't let me send letters.." Ellie nods "Well I'm gonna go talk to Freya, you have fun!" I look at my watch "9:00" the greeting should start and any moment.

10:00

"Year 9's!" Mrs Shelton the year 9 dean yells at us. "I am going to read out the house members when you hear your name please stand!" Diana and I talk as Mrs Shelton calls out names. "Diana Rosevelt!" Diana stands up, I look at her and try to not laugh.. Reminds me of year 4.. "Brooke Richards!" I stand up. "You are all in the 'Fire' house. Follow Mr Quiver please." Everyone grabs their bags and heads towards the door. "I doubt we'll be in the same group class but, who knows?"

We all sat down on a green bench in front of the library, the area has paths going in different directions, with heaps of trees shading over the area. "I will now be telling your group classes!" Mr Quiver already seems nicer.. "The first class is with Ms Dove, when you hear near come and stand next to her." Ms Dove has a big smile on her face, seems inviting. "Ok lets start.. Brooke Richards, Diana Rosevelt and Jordan Rulland."All three of us head towards Ms Dove, Diana and I have massive smiles on our faces.
