Over the sea ten hours until Atlas day of the dance.

Cletus laid in the glass containment as  he slept. As the guards watch him they began to converse with themselves.

"So this is the famous Carnage Killer? He looke nothing like I'd expect." The first guard said as he looked towards the serial killer.

"Hey. I suggest you watch what you say. There's a reason he's the worlds most dangerous experiment. They say he killed an entire army just over night." The second guard chimed in as he looked at the man.

"Psh. That sounds like a load of crap." His partner said making the glass shift  making the two look at it but suddenly a claw broke through as Cletus grabbed the first ones neck smirking.

"A bunch of crap huh?" He smirked insanely before turning into Carnage "How about I show you how real it is." He smirked as the guards looked scared before all that was heard were screams and blood appearing on the windshield as the first gaurds hand was pressed against the glass before she screamed and was killed.

At beacon.

Y/n woke up to Koda as he placed his paw on the boys cheek and in turned pushed him off a small bed that Ozpin gave him to sleep on making the boy face plant on the ground causing him to groan.

"Good boy Koda." A happy dragon said as she held the cub in her arms as he proudly growled.

"Yang. What the hell? I was sleeping pretty good." He yawned as he rubbed his eyes as he saw a mug in the corner of his vision. "Yes. Coffee." He praised as he grabbed the mug as Weiss smiled.

"Good morning dolt." She greeted as he smiled tiredly.

"Morning Snowflake." He chuckled as he heard a gag but he looked around the room but didn't see anyone with a grossed out look. "Morning to you too Carnage." He greeted with a smile as the symbiote just stayed quiet.  "Hey where's Rubes?" He asked taking a sip from his coffee.

"Ozpin said he wanted to talk to her." Setting Koda down the cub walked to Y/n before plopping down and licking the boys hand making him pet him as Yang explained.

"Ah I see." Yawning Y/n looked at the small cub as he began to play with his hand. "Where's your ball Koda?" He asked the small cub as he came back with a orange ball in his hands as he sat on his butt. Placing his coffee next to him Y/n began to move the ball side to side making the Ursa cub follow it before pouncing at it but missing. Smiling he rolled it past the cub as the small grimm jumped on it and began to spin as he laid on it making him laugh while Koda made a happy growl.

"Ah Koda you're a treasure." The boy said making the cub smile. "But let's get you some food." He smiled making the cub instantly appear in front of his bowl. Getting a small boneless fish he began to chop it up along with getting some of Koda's food. Mincing the meat he spread the meat onto the cubs food and placed it into his bowl making the cub drool before digging in.

Washing his hands he went to get his coffee but a tendril appeared and grabbed it handing it to the boy as it shook in excitement. "Oh no. Carnage and Coffee seem to be a dangerous combination." He chuckled but the tendril turned into a head and dunk itself into the coffee chugging it down making Y/n pull the mug away causing Carnage to go after it. "Carnage this is mine too." He told the symbiote but the small head went to his hand and bit it making him hiss in pain before giving it to the symbiote as it went back and submerged itself into the coffee before it returned into the boy.

Just then the door opened as the four saw Ruby. Sliding in front of her Y/n stood next to Yang as she took the middle, Blake on the right and Weiss on the left with Koda laying on Y/ns head.

"So what did he say?" The firecracker asked making Ruby stumble on her words. "Oh since you're here dad left us something." She smiled as she walked to the desk that Weiss would study at.

"Ooo something from home." Zooming around her sister and latching on from behind her while waving her hands at the small tube something fell out before popping out as a black Corgi with a white underbelly. "Zwie!" Ruby celebrated as Y/n smiled as he started to pet the dog since the last time he saw the corgi was when he was just a puppy.

"He sent a dog?" Starting the sentence Blake looked at the two with confusion.

"In the mail?" Finishing the sentence Weiss looked at the two as Zwei was licking Ruby. 

"Oh he does this all the time." Yang shrugged off nonchalantly

"Your dad or the dog?" Looking down Blake asked as she was on Ruby's bed with Zwei looked at Koda.

The two had a stare down as they began to circle each other causing the team to grow tense.

"Koda be good." Y/n warned making the cub sit as Zwei looked in questioning the grimm before gaining his normal look as the two ran around the room as if they were playing tag.

"There. They seen fine together." Y/n smiled as Yang finished reading the note from their dad as she dropped dog food onto Zwie as he smiled with Koda playing with one of the cans. "We should probably head out if we want to get the assignment we want." He pointed out as he walked to the door with Yang. Weiss smiled as she pet the two animals before getting next to Y/n and held his hand causing the both of them to blush as Blake jumped from Ruby's bunk to the desk and out the door. Ruby looked at the corgi as an idea came into her head.

After listening to Ozpins speech the group left to the board as Ruby found a mission and put in their team name but it came up as "Error:too many teammates and not suited for first years."

"Uhm. You're sure this was the right one Rubes?" Looking at his younger sister Y/n looked at her as she nod.

"Yeah. I don't know why we're not able to take it." She said scratching her head.

"Well. We noticed the threat of grimm rising in the area so we thought that it would be best to have more experienced students be able to take the assignment." Ozpin said as he walked from behind the board looking at his scroll.  "But another reason is cause of the number of teammates you have. I would like to have Mr.Branwen stay here if you four are able to take the assignment which I'm sure we can bend the rules a bit."

"Why me professor?" The boy asked as Ozpin looked up from his scroll.

"I think the people should see who the real version of Carnage you are." He said making the teen confused. Y/n was gonna ask what he ment but was cut off. "A journalist needs a news story. So why not have his article be that of a killer changing their tone."

Turning to his team Y/n looked at them. "Are you girls gonna be okay without me?"

"Come on bro we'll be great. Just show everyone that even the worst of people can have a change of heart." Yang smiled as Ruby nod.

"We'll check up on you when we can. So please tell us how it goes." Weiss smiled as the group walked to a bullhead that was seen resting on the docking bay.

"You know I will. Just please all of you be safe cause I worry." He said as Yang suddenly pulled him into a bone crushing hug.

"Awe big strong Y/n worries about his team." She smiled as Y/n tries to get out of her grasp.

"Someone help she's killing me." He gasps for air as the firecracker let him go making him gasp for air. "So who's gonna be your shadow huntsman?" Suddenly in a quick zoom doctor Oobleck appears as he stood in front of the team.

"Morning ladies. Who's ready to fight for their lives." The doctor said smiling.

"NOOOOO. You got my favorite teacher." Y/n yelled as he collapsed to his knees as Eddie appears.

"Oh what you don't wanna help me out Y/n?" He said smirking as Y/n quickly stood up.

"I didn't say that." He said making the journalist smirk.

"Hey weren't you the guy that Y/n was with?" Ruby asked making the man nod.

"Yep. Names Eddie Brock. Nice to meet you girls. I know this is rude of me but Y/n and I must get going I have a deadline in a day and so far nothing has come up. I'll see you in the bullhead Y/n." He said walking to the ship next to the one Oobleck entered.

"Well. He's something." Blake analyzed making Y/n laugh.

"Yep. But he's a good guy. Anyways gotta go girls good luck." He smiled before jogging away.

"Y/n." Weiss called out making him turn around as the schnee shyly looked at him before kissing his cheek. "Be safe." She said making him smile.

"Don't worry Snowflake. We'll be fine." Smiling he gave her a strong but gentle hug making the schnee smile as she hugged him back. "I'll see you soon." He smiled before leaving with Brock.

The two swung through Vale. Eddie hid behind Venom as Y/n swung next to him without Carnage surrounding him. Swinging to a hospital's roof the two stopped as Venom handed Y/n a small communicator.

"What's this?" Grabbing the small object Carnage peered out looking at the object as it tilt its head as his host  placed it into his ear before Venom looked at him.

"Comms. Linked to the police radio. We use this for our articles. But since you'll be filling in you two will use it."

Y/n looked at the small symbiote making it look away from him as if it was ignoring him.

"Look if you two don't make up then you can't work together to beat Cletus. So make up already." Venom hissed as he looked over the streets.

"He's right Carnage. We can't keep ignoring each other anymore." Looking at the small symbiote he began to stroke his hand on the symbiotes head causing it to curl up as if it didn't want the unwanted petting. But slowly the symbiote began to enjoy it as it leaned into the boys hand. "It's good to have you back Carnage. But if we're gonna help each other we need to talk to each other."

"If I remember you were the one yelling at me first." The symbiote said looking at him.

"Yeah. Well I wouldn't have to do it if you didnt hurt me severely. But we're stuck with each other. So we have to go onto equal ground. For now on we take to each other as if were friends. After all if I die, you die as well."

The symbiote looked at him before nodding "I guess it could be worst." 

"Good." Smiling at the symbiote Y/n pet him as it smiled back showing all of it's teeth.

"Attention all units. We got a pursuit near dust to dawn." The comms in Y/ns ear went off as the two listened "All units in the area please respond." Just then the sound of police sirens and screeching tires went by the four.

"Show times kiddos. Good luck." Venom wished as Y/n stood up with Carnage nodding at the boy.

Running to the edge of the roof Y/n backflipped off of it as Carnage began to cover him from his hands to his feet. Using his right claw Y/n shot a red web before being whipped from the momentum of the swing. Swinging into the air he let go before diving down with his head morphing into Carnage. "Woohooo!"

Venom and Eddie watched as the two swung towards the chase with a smile. "Kid's got heart." The symbiote smirked.

"But is it enough to beat Cletus?" The man in the symbiote asked.

"We'll see." jumping to the rooftops Venom followed the chase.

The robbers fired at the cops as the pursuers dodge their bullets. "Alright. This dust is as good as ours." The leader smirked but a sudden slam appeared above them as the roof sunk in. 

"What was that?" The passenger asked as red claws ripped through the roof showing the robbers the cause of the loud noise.

"Hello boys. Running from the cops?" Carnage asked as he licked his teeth.

"It's the Carnage killer!" The robber in the back seat yelled making his leader look up away from the road.

"H.Q I got the Carnage Killer here as well. It looks like he's gonna help them get away!" The cruiser in the lead said on the radio making Y/n and Carnage smile as they webbed the first robber that sat in the back to a light pole. Shocked the man went towards the light and stuck to the pole causing the final cruiser to stop.

"You're welcome!" Yelling back at them the symbiote cupped his hands around his mouth before getting shot by the passenger. Snapping to the gunman with a sickening smile Carnage webbed the gun out of his hand before grabbing him getting ready to bite his head off making the robber piss himself.

"Carnage no. I will get you food later." Y/n told the symbiote as it scoffed.

"You're no fun." He said before webbing the man to a building wall.

Finally was the driver,looking down at him, Carnage grabbed his gun from his hand as the symbiote surrounded his wrist.

"You're turn buddy." Smiling Carnage repeatedly smashed the mans face into the steering wheel causing the cars horn to sound off. Grabbing the man with his claw the symbiote threw him onto the ground webbing him up. "Time to stop this car." Somersaulting to the hood of the car Carnage pulled the hood off and ripped the engine out before throwing it to the side but the car was still too fast to have it stop on it's own.

"Let me take control." Y/n said as the symbiote shrugged before allowing his host to gain control. Jumping off the front bumper Y/n flipped and heel kicked it causing the car to slam into the asphalt and due to the force of the kick caused to pop the cars tires making it come to a greatly slower stop. Jumping to the street Y/n shot a web and swung to the roof of a random building as Venom had taken pictures of the chase.

Timeskip

Y/n and Carnage swung on top of a pizza joint as the both of them laid on it tired as the sun was beginning to set causing the two to talk to each other with Carnage allowing Y/n to breath in the fresh air. The symbiotes head transferred to a tendril as the two looked at each other.

"That was exhausting." Panting the symbiote laid it's head on the roof causing Y/n to chuckle as he was gaining air.

"Yeah. But it wasn't that bad of a change. You get to scare people while I stop the chase or mugging." He smiled as Carnage sighed as it felt the cool roof floor.

"The mugging is my favorite part." He said making Y/n chuckle.

"Why? Because you get to be as brutally punishing to the people while I web them up?" Smiling he noticed the symbiote nod in approval making him laugh.

"Don't forget you guys need to enjoy some food. Dinner is on us." Eddie said as he stood over the two making them look up. "I got two large pepperoni pizzas for the host and six gigantic bars of chocolate along with a large basket of tattertots." Eddie announce making the two instantly sit up.

"Sweet food."  Smiling Eddie handed a pie to Y/n with Venom handing his son the chocolate and tattertots making the symbiote look down before excepting it.

"Dad we." Carnage began but Venom shook his head.

"I don't blame you son. I blame your host. But seeing you getting along with Y/n I'm starting to think you two would've been a better team than Cletus." The older symbiote said making Carnage nod. "You both will need each other. So enjoy your time together." Smiling Venom looked at his son making him nod before digging in.

All four of them enjoyed their time together as Eddie and Y/n laughed at a joke the older male made. Standing up Y/n and Eddie finished off their pizzas as Carnage decided to save a bar of chocolate for later.

"It's getting late. You guys should head home." Eddie said making Y/n nod.

"Carnage you can get a heads up on some rest. I'm gonna take the bus back to Beacon before the final bullhead. My wrists are sore and I'm sure you're tired from eating. " the boy said making the symbiote nod before retreating into his skin.

"I'll see you tomorrow Y/n. I'll send you a link to the article tomorrow." Eddie said as Y/n nod before taking the fire escape down to the alleyway.

Standing in the middle of the bus Y/n was playing a game on his scroll before the bus announced Beacon's docking bays. Getting off the boy took the final bullhead and walked towards the dorm. Entering the room he was greeted by a happy little cub.

"Where's Zwei Koda?" He asked and noticed Ruby's backpack missing. "Of course."

Koda ran around the room and rolled his ball to the boy making the teen smile before lightly kicking it. Grabbing Kodas ball the small bear ran to his side and watched as he gave him some fish with a little bit of berries. Zooming to his spot the cub sat and waited before he was given his food making the boy smile.

Lifting up his arm Y/n could smell the odor that was B.O coming from him. Grabbing his pajamas he made his way to the bathroom and took a shower. Carnage popped out feeling the hot water making the symbiote purr much to the boys suprise.

"Did you just purr?" He asked making the symbiote embarrass before vanishing into his shoulder making him laugh.

Exiting from the bathroom Y/n wore his pajama pants and tank top before he noticed he was getting a call. Twipping a web at it he saw the caller I.D being Weiss.

"What's up butter cup?" He asked making the female on the other side groan. "I know your blushing Snow White." He teased making her sigh in defeat before a small giggle escaped her lips.

"Anyways. How was your day?" She asked making him smile.

"Not bad. Tiring but overall fun. Carnage had fun too. What about you girls?" He asked but laughed as he heard Yang talking through the scroll.

"Boring but fun!" She yelled causing him to laugh.

"Anyways. Did you eat? How about showered? Did you get to the dorm safe?" She asked making Y/n chuckle.

"Yes. Sweetie I ate pizza, I showered and I made it home safe. I'm about to head to bed soon cause I am beat. Can we talk tomorrow morning?" He yawned making the schnee yawn as well.

"Sure. Be safe dolt." She said making him smile.

"You too sweetie. Love ya!" He smiled making the schnee stutter.

"I-I-I" embarrassed she hung up as Carnage appeared next to him.

"You like to embarrass her down ya kid?"

"She's dating me. So she's gonna have to get used to it. If not then I'll tease her some more." He smiled making the symbiote smirk.

"I like the way you think." Smiling the two headed to bed with Koda jumping on his bed before laying against the boys stomach.

"Night guys." Y/n said as Carnage turned off the light.
