Sky

Monday mornings are glum, at least they are for most teenagers who go to Fountain Ridge High School. Mine aren't, I love Mondays! Except for the not sleeping in part. But, I normally wake up pretty early, so it doesn't bother me very much. It's weird because I'm always up late looking at the Sky. Ironic, because my name is, in fact Sky.

My parents named me this because I'm just as calm but wild as the sky. Pretty pathetic right? Well, to me it means everything in the world-I don't care how cheesy it sounds.

My parents left me when I was very young, and the reason I'm unsure of. But, at the moment I live alone in my apartment-with my step-dad, and step-brother. I love both of them though, even if I don't get to see my step-dad as often. I don't mind as much, but I've been starting to. Ever since my stepbrother, Nathan, left to college I felt so alone. We did everything together, and not seeing him kind of tore me apart. He was my go-to, otherwise I was a quiet mouse...he helped bring the life in me, and now that life is fading away..

I am unsure about my stepdad because he always would beat me, but thats because he's an alcoholic. Every night I make dinner, and every night he comes home the same night as before. Even though we live in New York, none of the stuff he says makes its way through the vents. So, I guess that means there is no super hero to save me now, because when I turned my head to the side, the clock said 7:00. Thats when dad comes home from the drug store, thats when I pay for being late if I didn't know what was good for me.... uh oh..
