I used to stand in the corner
I used to be alone
I barely said anything but I observed everything
And I thought I actually liked that
I just said I was a simple wallflower
And I vowed to stay that way
But someone shined a light in my corner
And as I listened and got to know him
I began to think that vow over

I watched him from my corner
I silently took note of this strange new feeling inside me as it grew
I didn't really show this feeling of adoration
I tried to hide it as best as I could
But once he noticed
He also silently took note of that same strange feeling growing

Now this boy stands in the corner with me
We silently hug when we have no words to say
When we do talk it's pure bliss
I'm not sure where life will take us
The future is a blur
But I hope he will stay a while in my not so simple wallflower corner
