PART II

I lied on my bed, after three weeks finally. I was back home to the place I belonged to. As soon as we reached her Ma first scolded me of leaving without informing her and then hugged me tight saying she missed me.

Bhai hugged and whispered," I can't believe chudail, I missed you."

"Bhaad mein jaa," I had replied as Ma and papa shared a laughter.

We all sat together and talked a lot discussing various things and then for dinner we had gone out. The whole of afternoon and evening though I was busy and enjoying with my family there was a certain someone who made his way in my mind during those hours.

I had kept on glancing at my switched off cell, and had thought of my move.

Papa and Bhai had two numbers one for personal use and another for official.

They only took their personal cells when we were out with our family.

So even if that certain someone tried calling them, papa and bhai had no clue.

And now it was certainly late for them to call back Laksh.

It was good to be back home, but then his house wasn't bad too.

Why were me thoughts betraying me? I had to be firm on my decision. That person had no right to break my trust again and again.

I sighed as I closed my eyes to finally sleep.

My eyes jerked open as I heard strange noises from my room. I gulped and stood up from the bed. It was 2:00 am, I saw as I glanced the wall clock.

The voice was coming from the window, I quickly moved towards it, with a vase in my hand.

I pushed the curtains away and saw a figure from my fog covered window.

The person didn't seem to notice me and thats when that person was successful in his attempt of opening the window as jumped on me, after opening the window.

"Aaaaa-" I had shouted to scream as I fell on the ground with a figure on me. The person had certainly closed my mouth with his palm which J bit off quickly.

He didn't know I was an agent.

"Ooww Ragini!" The figure uttered as I opened my eyes one by one.

"What the heck are you doing here?" I whispered shouting at Laksh who certainly lied over me.

"Just lying around."

"Laksh!"

"What Laksh, huh?" His eyes turned serious and stony.

I gulped at the anger his eyes radiated off.

"What Laksh, Ragini? Why? You just left? I have been trying to call since the moment I noticed you left." His voice came very hurt.

"That was what the plan was from the start, wasn't it? I was supposed to go back home as soon as the case finished and I did that."

"So you say there is no difference between the day we entered the case and today? Absolutely no difference?" His voice appeared angry, even more than before.

"N-"

"Don't you dare say that Ragini! When you and I both know thr truth. Why are you hurting me? Weren't we over the hiding part? When I told you that I lo-"

"Hurt? Laksh hurt? You asking me to stop hurting you, when you do that again and again."

"What are you saying Ragini?"

"Everytime you have hurt me, broken whatever trust I had built. First with hiding about the case- heck I still have no clue whether this case was real or not -"

"It was, it had to be. I am tired explaining everytime Ragini, everytime! When I told you that I couldn't, I just couldn't why couldn't you just believe me? All this time as I tried to protect and save you, you always blamed me! Always. Never did I say anything in my defence, I could have. A single sentence and you would have lost whatever you built, like me. But no, you blamed me, kept on blaming me!" Laksh's eyes blazed with anger.

I knew I had tears welled up.

'We are coming for you, she has been waiting.'

His mother's voice echoed in my ears.

"I will blame you."

"Ragini," he was extremely angry and hurt, I knew it.

"Laksh leave."

"I won't until you tell me the reason why you didn't even bother to even inform me about you leaving!" He was almost on the verge of shouting.

"I don't think I am answerable to you."

"Ragini, don't. Once I leave I would never ever contact or talk to you!" He meant it.

"I don't care, Laksh. We were tied up for a random project a normal one. Finished it off. Now we are back to our real life."

"So that wasn't real?!"

"No."

I didn't want to cry.

"Why?" His voice was a mere whisper.

"Why not Laksh? If you can lie straight to me about every fucking thing, why should I even answer your every question?!"

"What lie! Ragini! I never lied to you I just didn't tell you the truth about the mission thats it! Why are you bringing that matter between this conversation when you and I know clearly what I am talking about!"

"There's nothing to that matter."

"Don't lie Ragini!"

"Laksh, you should be the last person to be telling that!"

"For the last time Ragini, what did I even do!? Why can't you just bring yourself to trust me! When have I ever misused that!"

"Trust? Never Laksh. You freaking lied. Lied about everything, every emotion, every thing! You even broke my trust when you lied about your feeling!" I shouted back.

"What?" His eyes broadened.

"Don't. Just leave."

"But Ragini-"

"Leave Laksh, for once and all. I never want to meet you again."

And I had no idea how easily this sentence would have changed my life forever.

Laksh closed his eyes, and with a gulp he was standing, I too stood after him.

He quickly turned and was leaving when,

"Ragini, you have broken my heart. I am never going to forgive you."

"Likewise."

And with that Laksh was out of my room, and certainly out off my life too.

It was all over.

Back to square one.

My feelings, the case, the ache were so simple to decipher, I had lost a part of my life who turned this not so simple feeling of love, too simple for me .

He had entered my heart and made his place there and now I pushed him out.

Forever.

Not so simple.
