Me and Chester were gaming and chatting all afternoon, getting to know each other a bit more. We were doing speed questions on random stuff, and it was actually pretty fun.

-Okay uhh favorite color? -Chester asked.
-Black, obviously. -I rolled my eyes.
-I don't know how I didn't see that.
-Yours?
-Pink, but I tell people green so I don't get bullied.
-Real. Uhmm fave animal?
-Parrots, they're goofy as hell. Fave hobby?
-Gaming. Fave song?
-Backyard Boy by Claire Rosinkranz. Fave band?
-Literally on my shirt. -I flexed my Nirvana T-shirt.
-I keep asking obvious questions! -he giggled.

A moment later, my stomach rumbled VERY loudly.
-Hell nah, my stomach thinks he's holding a goddamn speech here! -I whined.
-This is pretty expected as we haven't ate for hours. Let's go to the kitchen and get some food.

We walked out the door, and surprisingly Mandy was no longer stuck to the tv screen. She must've gone to her room.
-Uh, I'm actually not allowed to use the stove. -Chester said, embarrassed.
-Why? What do you mean?
-I almost burned down the house when we still lived with our parents. I'm a disaster in the kitchen.
-How can you actually suck at cooking so bad you get banned from it? -I tried not to laugh at him.
-Well I'm really good at a lot of other stuff so I guess that's fair! -he said, trying to maintain his self esteem, so I just let him have it.

-Sooo then what do we eat? Do you want me to cook? -I offered.
-Noo! I can't let the guest cook! Let's just order from Mcdonalds.
-Sounds good to me.
-Okiee! What would you like then? -he pulled out his phone, opening the app.
-Would saying chicken nuggets be childish? -I giggled.
-Who cares if it is! Wanna share a 20 piece?
-Sure.

Chester placed his order and then we waited. We were just lingering around awkwardly, and the tension was making my skin crawl.
-We should do something, it's so fucking awkward. -I suggested.
-Agreed. Do you wanna play board games?
-What do you have? No more scrabble tho.
-Haha yea, but in fact I do have the one with the snakes and ladders. -he said, going back to his room to fetch it.
-Oh. My. God. The most classic board game in existence!
-Yea! And it's really fucking annoying! -he laughed, and I joined in aswell.

-Come on give me 4 or above! -I manifested, shaking the dice in my hands before releasing it onto the board. -YES A 6! And I get to roll again!
-Are you gonna give up? If it's a 3 or 5 you're going down the snake.
-Yea but if it's a 1, I go up the ladder and get ahead of you! -I shook the dice and muttered 1 over and over, and then rolled. -FOR FUCKS SAKE ITS THE 4TH TIME I GO DOWN THIS EXACT SNAKE!! -I yelled, as I rolled a 3.
-Told you so. -Chester giggled and then rolled aswell. It was his time to go down a sneak, and his character ended up just behind mine. -WHAT?!
-Haha, karma!

We continued bickering and yelling as we rolled the dice over and over, going forward and backwards on the board. We were getting near the end, but the trick is, we have to land exactly on the finish line.
-Grrr just gimme a 4! Ugh a 1?? Seriously? -I whined.
-Uh just don't land on the snake... yay a 4!
-Of course you get the 4! That was my 4!! -I started hitting Chester's arm, not hard but enough to annoy him.
-Uhh try passive aggression next time please. -he said in an entitled voice and then laughed at his own joke. -But seriously, stop beating my arm it actually kinda hurts. -he pulled away.
-GAME GODS GIVE ME A 3!!! -I yelled and rolled a massive 6. -THIS DOESNT HELP AT ALL! -I rolled again and it's a 2. -Finally! Just 1 step away from victory! You have no way to catch up!
-Just wait and see! -he rolled a 6. And then another one. And then a 5.
-Wait what how??? How the hell are you one step behind me?
-Now it's really on luck. -he rolled a 3, which put him on the same step as me.
-I ain't sharing! -I rolled a 2, stuck in place.
-It seems like you don't want to move tho. -he giggled and rolled a 2 aswell. -Wow the game doesn't want us to leave each other.
-Shut up! I know just the way to get myself a one.
-Oh you have a strategy? Aww aren't you special?-he teased.
-I said shut up! -I kissed the dice and rolled a 1 placing my character onto the last step, winning the game. -FUCK YESS!!
-Aw mann! Good game tho. -we clasped our hands together like bros do.

-I swear every game is a rage game with you. -I rolled my eyes.
-So you're telling me I bring your emotions out emo boy? -he smirked and came towards me.
-Yea, anger! You make me so pissed all the time.
-Oh do I now? I swear you were laughing a couple minutes ago.
-You still piss me off. You were lucky to ever get a smile from me! -I held my tongue out.
-Oh really? I bet I can make you laugh right now. -he held his hands out and I knew exactly what he meant with that devious smile on his face.
-Don't you dare tickle me again. I will kill you! -I started backing away.
-Will you really?
-Stop asking back on everything I say!
-Then I might aswell stop you from talking. -he grabbed my hips and started tickling me again.
-NO NO STOP! -against my will, I began to laugh hysterically.

He continued to tickle me, while I tried my best to push him away. I was laughing so hard, I began to tear up and my face was starting to hurt. After a minute Chester stopped, still laughing at me.
-Hahahahaha tickling people is so funny!
-You are fucking annoying. -I said, hunched over, my hands resting on my knees.
-But I made you laugh tho! Laughing makes you happier so I actually did you a favor. -he smiled.
-Wait I actually feel pretty happy now. -I realized as I stood up.
-See? The art of being a jester is to make people happy. -he giggled. Our faces were awfully close to each other.
-Hehe you're right. You're pretty fun to be around. -I admitted.
-Oh come one just kiss already! -We were caught off guard by Mandy's sudden comment. I didn't even notice her standing there.
-Fuck off Mandy! We were NOT about to kiss! -Chester yelled with his face red.
-Yea that is definitely what I saw. -Mandy said sarcastically.
-Ugh you're embarrassing me! -He whined.
-Wouldn't be embarrassing if it wasn't true. -with that she walked back into her room, shutting the door behind her.
-God she's so annoying! Please ignore her she's just messing around. -he said, clearly embarrassed by the situation. But I wasn't the calmest either, with a hint of blush on my cheeks.

I have to admit, kissing him was one of my thoughts earlier. It wasn't about to happen, but I couldn't help but wonder... But he wouldn't, as he said, Mandy's just teasing him.

Soon our food finally arrived and we sat down to consume the nuggets that had more oil than the entirety of america. Once we finished everything and fought for life or death over some fries, it was time for me to head home.

-Today was a lot of fun! -Chester giggled as he walked me to the door.
-Yea, it was. -I smiled to myself, covering it with my scarf.
-Well, see you next week!
-See ya.

I waved goodbye as I walked out, looking back at Chester until he closed the door. I walked down the hallway then came to a halt. I went back and knocked.
-What is it? Did you leave something? -he asked with a puzzled face.
-Which way is the ice cream shop again? -I was embarrassed to admit that I had no idea which way I lived.
-You live that way. -he pointed into a direction, trying not to laugh at me.
-Thank you. -I hid my face with my scarf as it was red from embarrassment.
-You literally lived here for longer than me, how do you not know the way?
-I know which way to go, I just got confused for a second. I don't know this specific area that well.
-If you say so! -hi giggled. -Bye then! Stay safe.
-See ya.

After that I walked down the hallway, AGAIN, and headed home once I left the building. The sun has already gone under the horizon, yet it still illuminated the black sky, showing the slightest bit of light. But it was getting dark pretty quickly, so I hurried up my steps, not wanting to be walking around at night. Soon, I arrived home, saying hi to my mother who was reading in the living room.

-Hi Eddie! How was the hangout? Did you have fun? -She asked curiously while smiling.
-Yea it was pretty fun.
-Hmm this Chester boy... you've been hanging out with him a lot recently.
-I mean, yea. And? -I was confused by what she meant.
-Is there anything...special about him?
-Special? What do you mean? -I raised an eyebrow.
-Well I know you don't like talking about this topic, but... do you perhaps like this boy? -my face flushed red as she asked that question.
-What?! No!! I haven't even known him for that long.
-Eddie...
-I don't like him! -I crossed my arms.
-Come on sweetie, you can tell me anything. -my mother assured, and i sighed.
-Okay... maybe I do have the slightest crush on him. But that's all!
-Haha I knew it! I know love when I see it. -she came over to hug me.
-It's just a crush, nothing extra. -I rolled my eyes.
-He's such a gentleman tho! Much sweeter than that Emz girl, that's for sure.
-Mom! I thought we agreed not to talk about her...
-What? She was all wrapped up in herself! I'm happy that you're over her. -she hugged me again.
-Ugh whatever. I'm gonna go shower.
-Okay sweetie. I love you!
-Love you too mom.

I went up the stairs, and quickly grabbed my pyjamas before going into the bathroom. I quickly rinsed my body and got ready for bed. As I turned the lights off and got comfortable under the blanket, my phone buzzed. I took it off of my night stand, and saw a notification from Chester, which made me smile. I swiped left on it, opening our whatsapp chat.
