Edgar's pov:

As I got home, I went to my room straight ahead. Even though it was barely 3 o'clock, I was already super excited about our date with Chester. I've never even been on a proper date before, how do people even act like on dates?? Nervous thoughts were running through my mind as I stood in front of my closet, staring into it blankly. I needed an amazing outfit that wasn't too fancy, nor like a homeless man's attire.

I kept staring at my options, eventually spotting a black buttoned shirt that I wear if we go to a restaurant or something. It's a little fancy but I can take that. I also put on some black ripped jeans, and yes, it had to be ripped jeans so I wouldn't look like a fucking nerd!! I'll put on my boots when I'm ready to leave, for now, I needed to do my eyeliner and it had to be perfect.

20 minutes passed by and I was yelling in front of my mirror, wiping down the eyeliner that I did wrong AGAIN.
-COME ON EDGAR ITS EYELINER NOT QUANTUM PHYSICS ITS NOT THAT HARD!! -I yelled at my reflection in the mirror, genuinely tweaking.

I took a step back, taking a big deep breath, calming myself.
-Okay, it doesn't have to be perfect, just kind of symmetrical to the other eye. -I said, attempting it once again. I carefully drew the line over my eyelid, fixing the corner a little and boom it looked amazing.
-Let's gooooooo! -I yelled in happiness as I finally managed to get it right.

-Is everything okay sweetie? You've been yelling for like 20 minutes. -My mom asked as she entered my room.
-Yea yea, I was just doing eyeliner. -I rolled my eyes, wiping down a smeared black spot from my cheek.
-Oh? How come you're all dressed up like this, are you going somewhere? -she asked with a smirk.
-Yes mother, I'm going on a date with my boyfriend soon. -i sighed.
-Oooo! And where are you going?
-I'm not quite sure, he wants to surprise me. ... damn this sounds familiar. -I said, realizing that Chester had been organizing quite a few surprises recently.

-Well I hope you'll have a good time! Just keep me updated with how the date goes, in case you wont come home. -she chuckled.
-What do you mean? -I asked, a little uncertain about the way she said that.
-Oh, you know... if the date goes well and you end up sleeping at his place again. -She said teasingly.
-Actually I probably will, so I should bring a toothbrush lol. -I chuckled, picking up my bag and checking if it went well with my outfit in the mirror.
-Oh sweetie, you know what? Maybe you should bring some condoms just in case. -She said, whispering one specific word, which made me choke on my own saliva,
-MOM! -I yelled, smacking my face with a hand to cover it.
-Just in case! You're 17 sweetie, I know what kids your age are up to. -she chuckled.
-MOM STOP!
-Jokes aside Eddie, I'm serious please take one. -her voice changed to concerned.
-Ugh, fine! Just please get out, you're embarrassing! -I groaned, attempting to push her out of the room.

She chuckled again at my embarrassment and then walked out. Does this woman seriously have no filter?? Why should I even take a condom, its not like either of us could get pregnant?! Oh wait yea, STDs still exist. Fuck I hate when she's right!

I angrily walked over to my bedside table, pulling out a drawer and rummaging through it. Eventually I found a few unopened packages, taking out 2 and putting it into a tiny pocket of my bag. I have no idea why I even have these, not like I had the chance to use it before.

I sighed, checking the clock and realizing i still had more than two hours until my date. I groaned as I sat down on my bed, pulling out my phone and opening brawl stars. I was surprised to see Chester online, so I invited him.

We readied up and began a round. A team attacked us right away but we quickly defeated them, spinning in circles as we put some heart pins. We destroyed chests, collecting some power cubes to power up, easily defeating another team. I can't lie, we were a perfect duo. We let the two other teams fight each other, watching them from the bush and ready to jump them. Once the screen wrote out "showdown", we began our maneuver. We both ran out the bush, hitting our enemies. Unfortunately I died as I killed one of them, but Chester managed to get the final shot, winning us the game.

I gave him a burning like for that move as we hit play again. We ended up playing for like half an hour before he had to go get our date ready. I was dying from excitement by the time it was my time to head out too, checking if I had everything before leaving the house.

I headed to the outskirts of the town, which thankfully wasn't that far. I could see the hill as I walked down the road, soon spotting Chester on his phone by the sidewalk. He didn't notice me until I was right against him, to which he jumped a little.

Chester's pov:

I was messaging Mandy about how perfect my date was gonna be, also asking her for advice on how I should act just so I don't do something stupid. Suddenly Edgar appeared next to me, making me jump a little.

-H-hey Eddie! Sorry, you scared me for a sec. -I chuckled, sliding my phone into my pocket.
-Hi! -he said with a warm smile.
-Well, shall we go now? Our date area is just up the hill. -I gestured, intertwining my hand with his.
-Yea of course, I can't wait. -he chuckled.
-Wait actually, would you mind closing your eyes? Just so the surprise is better. -I asked to which he raised an eyebrow.
-Yeah yeah sure, but this better not be some elaborate prank you know. -he chuckled, jokingly rolling his eyes before closing them and allowing me to lead him along.
-Come on, you know I wouldn't dare prank you. -I giggled, kissing his cheek.

We continued walking up, and I made sure to warn him of any obstacles in the way. Soon we got to the top of the hill, arriving to a little area by the lake where I had prepared a picnic for us.
-Voilà! You can open your eyes now. -I giggled, stopping by the picnic rug.

Edgar's eyes widened as he looked at the picturesque scene in front of us. The golden sun sinking below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the lake, and the plush rug covered with snacks and drinks. He was taken aback by the effort and thought I put into the whole setup, just staring in awe.
-Damn Chester.. this is actually pretty epic. I didn't expect you to pull something so extra. -He said in an amazed tone, softly chuckling.
-Well, I wanted us to have the best first date. You know, so you'll remember it. -I smiled softly, a hint of blush on my face as we sat down onto the picnic rug.

-Wow, just wow Chester... you truly amazed me. -Edgar said with a soft smile.
-Oh just wait, we can't really have a picnic without food, right? -I smirked, opening up the picnic basket I brought, pulling out a box of brownies. -I heard you like brownies, so I got Mandy to help me bake you some. -I smiled, offering him one as I sat the box down.
-Wait did you really bake these? Are you sure they're safe to eat?? -He asked, a little concerned since he knows about my nonexistent cooking abilities.
-Okay, mixing like 3 ingredients is not that hard, even I could do it! Mandy was in charge so you can trust it, see? -I chuckled, taking a bite of a piece.

Edgar was a little hesitant, but eventually complied, biting into a piece of brownie. As he chewed down on it, his face slowly lit up.
-Wait, these are so good! Amazing even! Damn Chester, color me impressed, I wasn't expecting this from you. -He chuckled, reaching for another piece.
-See? I'm not completely hopeless when it comes to baking. -I chuckled aswell, quite proud of myself.

-Wait, how did you know that brownies are my fave? -He asked, slightly confused.
-Hmm lucky guess. -I shrugged with a smug grin.
-You asked Bibi, didn't you? -He smirked.
-Yes I did. -I sighed, giggling after.

We continued munching on the brownies, staring at the horizon that slowly changed from a golden yellow into a darker orange as the sun continued its descent.
-This is actually so romantic, you knew what you were doing huh? -He chuckled, placing his hand on mine.
-Oh trust me, I've had this whole thing planned out for longer than I'd like to admit. -I let out a hearty laugh before digging my hands into the picnic basket once again, pulling out two wine glasses.

-Here you go princess. -I chuckled, filling his glass with a liquid, deep red in color.
-If you call me princess again I will punch you. -He said in an annoyed tone, yet a small smile lingered on his lips.
-I like to test my limits. -I shrugged, turning to fill my glass too.
-Is this wine?
-Cranberry juice. I wanted to have the feeling of wine, yet at the same time not get tipsy on a hill. -I chuckled as Edgar joined me.

We both took a sip from our drinks, savoring the sweet fruit juice as Edgar laid his head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around him as I pulled him closer, both of us staring at the sunset.

-Yea, as much as I would like to get a bit buzzed with you, it might just be better to say sober on a first date. You sure know how to take care of your boyfriend. -he smiled.
-Maybe another time. Actually, I have another surprise for you. -I giggled, taking my eyes off of the descending sun to look at Edgar.
-Oh really now? Another surprise? You're spoiling me too much darling! But go on then, what's the surprise? -He glanced up at me, a smirk on his face.
-Oh no no no! You have to wait this one, I can only show you once the sun went down.
-Aw come on! You can't just make me wait for a surprise! I'm gonna die with anticipation, but ugh fine. -He groaned, crossing his arms before laying his head back onto my shoulder.
-Trust me, it will be worth it. -I chuckled, intertwining my fingers with his.

We stared at the golden sun as I pulled Edgar closer firmly, planting a kiss into his hair. The sky went from orange to red as the giant ball of light dipped below the horizon, slowly getting ready to settle for the night. We stared silently, enjoying each other's presence as the sun completely disappeared into the mountains of the horizon as darkness slowly engulfed the night sky.

-Well, it's time I show you my present. Come on lay down with me! -I giggled, pulling Edgar onto the rug with me as we looked up. The night sky was painted with thousands of stars, the milky way stretching across the darkness like a celestial river. It looked like something from a painting or even a dream. I turned my head to the side to glance at Edgar, just to see him staring up with sparkling eyes, completely mesmerized by the cosmos. He laid speechless beside me for a few moments, until he was finally able to find his voice.

-Wow.... This is... this is incredible. I have no words. -he whispered, his voice filled with wonder.
-I told you it was worth the wait. -I smiled, pulling him into a tender kiss. The sounds of the lake behind us, the ribbit of the frogs and the music of the crickets all worked in harmony to create a soothing lullaby, enhancing the romantic atmosphere of the night. Edgar pulled away from the kiss, gently tracing his thumb over my cheek, as I got lost in his eyes.

-No one has ever made me feel like this before. You're amazing Chester. -He said quietly, his eyes filled with affection.
-I've never felt like this before either. I truly adore you Edgar. -I smiled, pulling him into a kiss again, a bit more passionate this time. My heart raced as I slid my tongue into his mouth, feeling him shiver from the gesture as he pulled me closer, returning the kiss with equal passion. I felt his hand slide up my spine, settling on the nape of my neck as I wrapped my hands around his waist, the noises of the night fading into the background, replaced by the sounds of kisses and sighs. My heart was thumping in my chest from the excitement, never having experienced this sort of passion before. I wished this moment would never end.

Edgar pulled me even closer, our bodies brushing against each other as we made out under the stars. My hand slowly found its way into Edgar's hair, softly tugging on it and earning a quiet grunt in return. Our tongues fought with passion, as our minds were clouded by lust, aching for more. Edgar broke our kiss moments later, our breaths heavy and ragged as we panted against each other's lips.

-We should stop before it spirals out of control. -He said, fully out of breath.
-You're right, wouldn't wanna end up getting laid in the middle of the woods. -I chuckled softly, giving a peck onto his lips before sitting up.
-You don't know how bad I want you right now. -My face turned red from his words, and the way he was looking at me...his eyes filled with desire, his rips red and swollen from our recent kiss, it all made me want to make him mine.
-I know, I'm quite irresistible! -I tried to joke it off, earning a chuckle from Edgar.
-You truly are. We should get going soon though, it's starting to get pretty late.
-Yea you're right. We should start packing. Are you gonna sleep at mine again? -I asked, already missing his cuddles.
-That was my plan, yea. If it's not a bother of course. -He said hesitantly, helping me start putting everything back into the basket.
-Oh sweetie, you never bother me. -I smiled, kissing him softly, which made him smile too.
-Okay, then sleepover it is.

Once we packed up everything, I grabbed the basket and we started making our way back to my house, hand by hand.
