The lake - 36
*Lilly's pov*
Kyla and Harlem are still feel threatened by me. They should. Terrain and Queen are okay with me.
It's been two months since we've been here. Our attack in in a month. The kidnapped people still haven't been found.
But they've found more evidence. They have a couple pictures up. It's me for sure.
Except for the red eyes. I had red eyes. There were also some eye witnesses. They said she was moving too fast, but she looked to be about 15 or 16.
15 or 16? Do I look that young? Really? They said I walked passed the people and they were just gone along with me.
I need to go out to the forest and find the body's. Burn them. Bury them. Do whatever. Get rid of them.
I snuck out. No one saw me. No one on the streets. I passed a TV store with me on the news.
Good thing my jacket covers my hair. I walked back to the forest and tried to find a trail of blood. No luck.
I started sniffing. I smelt blood. It was new. Not old. I followed it. I found a lake.
No sign of anything other than the lake though. This is where the trail stopped... Their in the lake.
I left them in the lake. That's why it smells new, the water is mixing with it. I'm surprised they haven't float up to the top yet.
I still have to get rid of them. Ten people? Five children? Not that hard. I can swim.
I started taking off my clothes. Then I heard a twig snap. I turned around. It was only Deon.
"You scared the living hell out of me! What are you doing?" I yelled. "The question is, what are you doing? I saw you leave. So I followed."
"I need to get rid of the body's. I won't allow the police to find them. That means that they can't stay in the lake."
"Lilly. Let it go. It wasn't your fault. No one will know it was you. Don't get too involved. You'll just make it worse."
"They have pictures of me. If the cops find those body's, they will connect it to me. If I get sent to jail, I won't be able to see you ever again. I can't afford that. "
"Then leave it. Lilly..." He said. Lilly? He never says my name. "Deon..." I said. He looked up. He wouldn't have done that.
That's not Deon. I'm in danger. "Fine." I said and put my jacket back on. "You go on ahead if me. I just want to soak in the smell."
"Why?" He asked. "Because of what I told you the other day. Weren't you listening?" I asked, pretending to be annoyed.
"Well..." He said and rubbed his neck. I rolled my eyes. "Like always. You never listen." He sighed.
"Can you explain it to me again?" He asked. "What's the point? Not like it mattered anyway." I said.
"I'm sorry." He said. "Okay." We just stood there staring at each other. His eyes were dull. Full of nothing.
Then he started to disappear. Now I was surrounded by guards. I took a defensive stance.
"Told you, only wolves can follow the scent. Capture her. She's only a she-wolf. Can't be that hard."
I was shot in the back. No, I didn't get sleepy. I got angry. I shifted. I growled low.
"No. That symbol... Put her to sleep. We need her. Now!" The woman spoke again.
The next person the point their gun at me had a claw to the face. Then the next, and the next.
I started to get sleepy with seven darts in my back. I was swaying a little. I growled low again and my legs colasped.
No. This couldn't be it. My eyes drooped. No. No! I got up and fought. I fought until there were eighteen darts in my back.
Then backup came in. It was no match with all these darts. I was no match for all these people with sleeping darts.
Wow.
'I'm sorry. It's all my fault. Please don't come after me. I would die if you got hurt. Please don't co-'
*****************
I woke up on a table. I was still a wolf. The darts were out of my back. "Good morning little Wolfy. How you doin?" A man asked really happily.
He was around Deon's height. Dark hair, blue eyes, stubble. I glared at him. "Wow, no need for that lil wolf. I'll take care of you!" He said and winked.
Really? He winked?!? What's wrong with this dude? Is he high or something?
'Deon? Are you there?'
"Sorry. That doesn't work here. Or at least not anymore. You no longer have any connections with anyone."
He pulled out a syringe. "This baby did the trick." He put it back. "If I give you a blanket and if I cut your restraints off, will you shift and not kill me or leave?" He asked.
"Nod yes for yes, no for no." He ordered. I growled. "Wow, you got a loud growl for such a small wolf."
I growled even louder. He kept taunting me. Soon enough, he made me bark.
"You're cute when you're angry." He said. That was it. I shifted. "Shut the hell up before I claw your throat out."
I then covered up myself. He grabbed me a blanket. I took it and wrapped myself in it.
"I have a change of clothes for you. If you answer my questions, you can have them." He said.
"What is your name?" He asked. I kept quiet and glared at him. "How old are you?" He asked.
"Why are you here?"
"Who sent you?"
"Are there others?"
I was ignoring him. I started to think back at the lake. The woman said that she needed me. Could she see the mark on my back?
Do I have it in wolf form? "Hey!" He snapped in my face. I growled. No, I snarled.
"Wow, even cuter in human form." He teased. I lashed out at him. My restraints kept me from reaching that one inch I needed.
"Let me start again. I am August. What is your name?" He asked nicely. He had an Italian accent. I glared at him.
He sighed. "Maybe we'll take this again tomorrow." He suggested. "How long have I been here?" I asked as he started walking off.
"Hmm? You talk?" He asked. He walked back over to me. "Just answer the damn question!" I yelled in a scratchy voice.
"You've been here for three days. Slept for three. So what is your name?" He asked. "Lilly. Hell's dog. Or hell herself."
"Nice nickname. Why is that your nickname?" He asked. "Because it's where I came from."
"Really? I thought you were from Tennessee. Because you're the only ten I see."
I glared. "Okay, not funny... I see." He sighed again. "I will try to get information tomorrow. I'll get you some food.
He came back with raw meat. I cocked my eyebrow. "What? Don't dogs like meat?" He asked. I shifted back and growled.
He rolled his eyes and set the plate down. "See you tomorrow." He said and left.
I didn't eat that day.
