Escape? - 19
*Lilly's pov*
It's been almost a week and Terrain hasn't show any improvement. I think I should move him to another partner.
He kicks the bag with all his might and it tips over. It is a bad of a hundred pounds. I can kick over eight hundred.
He punched the punching bag and kicked it. It fell off the hook. "Stop!" I yelled.
I have him the come here signal. He came over and sighed. "Open your eyes." I said.
He opened his eyes and they were a little red. It's part of wolves bane injections. It's a symptom.
I rush out and go to Nora. "The boy. Why is he being injected with wolves bane?!?" I asked.
It's probably the reason he isn't doing too go in training. She shrugs. "Ask Peter. He's in charge of his troop."
I glare at her and go to Peter's office. He's not in there but I'll wait for him. He came back after about ten minutes and I growl.
He backed up a bit. "Why you givin' the kid wolves bane injections?" I ask. He looks shocked.
"How'd you know?" He asked. "The eyes. Dead give away. Now answer my question."
"I heard you say that thing about him and another partner. I think you might kill him so I wanted him to have another partner."
"Why didn't you just ask?" He shook his head. "Would you have said yes?" He asked. I shook my head.
"No." I replied. "He'll be fine. He trains with me." I said and walked back. He was on the ground.
He was sleeping. Tiredness. Another symptom. I picked him up bridal style and walked him to his room.
I opened the door and the room was clean. I smiled and set him on the bed. "Feel better." I said and left.
I went to my room and changed. I got some lunch and I got a mind-link from Joe.
'Kyla says you need to get Harlem to help you escape. He'll know what your talking about. Trust him.'
'Okay' I said and cut the link. Think of the devil. Oh wait... That's me. Anyway... Harlem walked in.
"I lost you for a bit. Sorry." He said. I nodded. Should I trust him? Should I tell him?
"Harlem. There's something I need to tell you." I said. I was looking at the ground.
"What?" He asked. "Okay. I trust you. And you must tell no one. Okay?" I ask. He nodded. "I swear."
"Kyla is with my pack and she says I should trust you. Is that correct?" I asked.
He froze.
"Kyla. Yes." He responded. "She said you would help me get out. If I get out... I want you to come with me. And I want Terrain to come with."
He stared at me. "Okay." He said. Why was this so easy? "What's the catch?" I asked.
"Give me a kiss." He said. I raised my eyebrows. "Really. You know I liked you since youth. Give me one, passionate, kiss." He said.
I thought about it. One kiss for freedom, or keep Deon happy? "Okay. First we will plan it. Then we will escape." I said.
His eyes widened. "R-really?" He asked. I nodded. "Do you know the safest way with the least guards and security and the quickest route?" I asked.
He nodded. "But, Nora is the security." He sounded doubtful. "Don't worry. I got it." I said.
I walked closer to him and wrapped my arms around him and kissed him. He immediately responded with pushing into he kiss.
I pulled away and walked out of the room, leaving him speechless and frozen.
*****************
After two days of planing and training, we were ready to go. Terrain agreed and was ready as well. We were ready to go around eight.
I don't know what it is with the boy. I feel as if I should protect him, but I don't know why.
We started towards the exit. It passes the training grounds. We sneak pass and look at the exit at the end of the hall.
It's so close. I look around and there is an office. The door is open. It means she's watching or she left.
I look at Harlem. I nod. I do the same with Terrain. We shift and race for the door.
Nora see's us zoom through and widens her eyes. She gets on a phone and disappeared after hanging up.
We made it outside and Nora was waiting for us. I charged for the forest next to her and before she could expect it, I bit her leg.
She screamed out in pain and I raced into the forest. I was leading Terrain and Harlem. How was I going to explain this to Joe?
'We are coming.' I said.
'We?' He asked.
'We'll explain when we get there. Expect us in twenty.'
'Okay.'
The link cut and I smelt three troops of wolves. I stopped as did the guys. I turned around and about fifty yards away was two and a half troops.
I raced over there and attacked. Harlem did as well. Terrain froze. I was killing wolves two at a time. There seemed to be more wolves than two and a half troops.
More were coming as we were killing. It was a trap. I looked at Harlem and he shared the same look.
I barked at Terrain and he got the point. We started running. We had to lose them first.
'Hold up came, expect us in forty.'
'Okay, you guys okay?' He asked
'Yeah, we're fine.'
'If you say so.'
I cut the link and raced in a confusing track. When I looked back they were still there, following me.
We stopped at a river. We took a quick drink and started towards the pack. We ran for about twenty minutes until we crossed into a territory.
We continued and we saw the house.
'We're here'
Joe walked out and he stood with a confused face. "Who are we?" He asked. He led is into the house and let us shift and get into clothes.
"Lilly. What happened, you look so much smaller. Did you eat anything there?" He asked.
Harlem looked at me. "I know the food is bad, but you had to eat. Where does all you energy come from?" He asked.
"And who are you?" Joe asked. "I'm Harlem. I helped plan the escape." He said.
"And you?" He asked Terrain. "Um..." He must be extremely nervous. He's probably never met anyone with so much power.
"He's Terrain. I wanted him to come with us." I explained. "I've been training with him.
He looked back over to me. "Oh, Lilly. Your collar. We need to get that off." He said.
"Okay, Harlem, Terrain, this is my brother, Joe." I said. "He is the Alpha of this pack. Joe, these guys are the facility's victims." I explained.
I just thought that needed to be said. "Harlem." Someone said from behind. We all looked and Kyla stood there.
"Kyla." He said. They raced towards each other and hugged. "Their siblings." I whispered.
"Oh, thanks." He said. Terrain still looked nervous. I touched his leg. He looked at me.
"Don't worry. He's not going to hurt you. You'll probably pass the text and get into the pack." I reassured him.
He smiled and looked away. "Let me show you two to your rooms." Joe said and walked the two guys out.
I walked to Kyla and hugged her. "Thank you so much." I said. She hugged back. "No. Thank you." She said.
I went to go get my collar off. It took a little while. It was late by the time they took it off.
I went to my room and there was a knock on the door. I opened it and Deon was there.
He looked tired as hell but still cute. "Deon." I whispered. I let him in and he hugged me. I hugged back.
"I missed you so much." He growled out. "It's okay. I'm back now." I whispered.
I pulled back and looked into his eyes. Those beautiful brown eyes. I pulled myself up to him and kissed him.
I just couldn't help myself.
