Taehyung nods with a sheepish smile.

Y/N groans in annoyance. "Why can't you ask all the other girls who are head over heels in love with you? I bet they'd be happy to be your pretend girlfriend."

"Because you're not like the other girls-"

"I'm exactly like the other girls," she hisses. "Don't you dare."

"But you won't fall for me so it's better to choose you than any other," Taehyung tries to persuade, pulling her arm when she tries running away.

"Dude, what makes you so sure? I could be in love with you right now and you don't even know!" She struggles against him in an attempt to shoot away.

"Taehyung, have you found someone yet?" The compassionate and charming friend of his, Jimin with glorious red hair struts towards the taller boy and his eyes fall on the girl before him. "Oh, Y/N?"

She freezes for a moment before waving a little.

"Thank goodness you didn't choose someone else. Good choice, Tae!" Jimin pats the younger's shoulder and walks away with a satisfied grin.

After watching him leave, Y/N sighs and turns to Taehyung with a determined look. "Okay, here's the deal. I get twenty bucks a day."

"The fuck?" The boy gawks at her. "Are you-"

"Oh shush. There's this saying, 'Never do something for free', so you better cough up or skedaddle."

Taehyung nods slowly with a meek expression.

"Or, you pay me ten bucks a day and help me get together with Jimin."

His eyes suddenly widen. "Him?"

"You can do that, right?" Her eyes sparkle when the boy nods. "If you do as I say, maybe I can even bury your psycho ex-"

"Deal."

Thus, Y/N helps Taehyung get away from his ex's clutches all the while earning some cash for her daily meal and some presents for her family. Taehyung helps her get together with Jimin and stays great friends with her.
