Y/N's parents stand unfazed and her father speaks. "Yes, it's time for you to be wedded to the son of our business partner, the Kim chaebol."

Y/N scrunches her nose and thinks, 'I have to settle with someone who's not Kim Namjoon? That's so unfai-'

"Oh, here they are!" Her mother interrupts her thought and stands up along with her father to daintily wave at the doorway of the restaurant. "Over here, besties!"

Taken aback, Y/N stands as well for formality and turns around to face them. She only knows about their business partner from the stories of her parents, so she doesn't know what to expect until her eyes land on the young man walking behind an older couple.

A gasp leaves her unknowingly. Perfectly cut features, masculine and ethereal, tall, lean body clad in expensive violet suit, and the confident strut and air around the man make her do double- no, triple take.

This is the man she's marrying? Who is Kim Namjoon again?

Closing her gaping mouth and getting a grip on herself, Y/N shakes her head and retracts her thoughts. She doesn't know him well so she shouldn't be excited like that even if the man looks positively unreal.

And unreal is correct because after they got married, Taehyung has been distant from Y/N as if they are not married at all. She has done everything she can to try and close the distance but he has never reciprocated. One time, she has caught him dining with a woman and being unusually close with her unlike with Y/N.

"Welcome home, cheater."

Taehyung halts in his steps and frowns at Y/N who is sitting on the couch with shades on when it's dark outside and a silk robe over her furry pajamas.

"Cheater? What are you-"

Y/N lifts up a paper with multiple photos of him with many women and sips her tea. Having someone tail him is a piece of cake to the heir of one of the biggest corporations in the world. She then lifts another paper that has her signature.

"Divorce paper?" Taehyung asks, bamboozled, and reads the paper after walking up to her. "And you're taking sixty percent of my wealth?! What even-"

"Our business partnership is already more solid than rock now with or without our marriage. It's either this with us parting ways peacefully or," Y/N cuts him and sips her tea again with a pinky lifted before continuing with a smirk, "I'll make your death look like an accident."

Taehyung is not stupid. He knows Y/N is clever enough to do that so he takes the paper.

'Kim Namjoon, here I come,' Y/N giggles in her mind.

Thus, the two got divorced after Taehyung convinced their parents and promised to stay as friends and business partners. Somehow, words got out that he used to be cold to his ex-wife and met around with other women, leaving a scar in his reputation.

It wasn't Y/N's wish to be stuck in a marriage without happiness no matter how good it looked from the outside or how much power they got out of it. She found a man who actually appreciated and reciprocated her moves and feelings, and they are happily married. Guess who it is?
