Questions

Sometimes, I write with the hope that my words might find someone who needs them, but today, it's me who needs them most. I find myself tangled in questions, struggling to find answers that won't come.

What do you do when you hate yourself for the choices you've made? I know I can change my path, take a different route, try again...but the past, that's something I can never rewrite.

How do you move forward when you're anchored to a single moment in time? How do you begin anew when all you want is to go back? And how do you let go of someone or something that feels irreplaceable, a part of you that no one and nothing can ever fill?

I believe that our mistakes don't define us, yet the consequences of those mistakes shape who we become. Pain changes us. But sometimes, I wonder if maybe the pain is something I deserve...if I'm a terrible person, and terrible people aren't meant to have good things.

Is it our actions that define us? Or is it our thoughts, the quiet ones that no one sees, that lead us to who we truly are? Can it be that we are born with our destiny already etched inside us, unchangeable no matter what we do or say?

They say actions speak louder than words, but don't words have a way of cutting just as deep, if not deeper? If I say the wrong thing at the wrong time, does that make me a bad person? Or are you better because you say nothing at all, even if your thoughts are darker than my words?

Here's my truth...I'm not sure if I'm good, but I don't know if I'm completely bad either. I speak from the heart, and sometimes, that means people don't understand me. Other times, I hold back because I'm afraid of what my heart might reveal.

If my words hurt someone, does that make me bad? Or if I stay silent, too afraid to speak, am I good? Or does that make me a coward? The truth is, there's no easy answer. We're human, and we are both good and bad, flawed and beautiful. We all make mistakes. We all lie at some point, whether to protect someone from the truth or to save ourselves from losing them.

We hurt the ones we love, often without meaning to, and sometimes we bear the pain ourselves just to spare them. But should we really be judged by a single word, one action, or one moment of weakness? Should we be cast aside for a mistake, seen only as the sum of our failures, rather than the total of all our intentions, dreams, and love?

We've all said the wrong thing in a moment of anger or fear. We've all wished we could turn back time and make it right. So why are we so quick to judge, to label someone as good or bad based on one misstep?

What truly defines us? Is it our thoughts, our fears, our regrets? Or is it every tiny, intricate detail that makes us who we are beyond just this moment, beyond the weight of the past?

We are not fully defined yet. We are all works in progress, capable of learning, loving, and growing. We will stumble, but we will also rise, and along the way, we'll find moments of grace and connection that show us who we truly are.

So if someone hurts you, before labeling them as bad, try to see the whole story. Understand that we all deserve a chance to grow beyond our mistakes, to redefine who we are and who we can become.

For now, I have questions, and perhaps one day, I'll find the answers...
