Chapter 3: Villain

"You don't have a say in this, kid."

"I don't? I figured if I killed the boss that made me the boss."

"You did what?"

"Bow, now." I order this useless subordinate.

"You're not-!" He falls over dead before he can say anything further, a splatter of blood lands on my cheek, and I quickly wipe it off using a handkerchief that I throw on his body. "Mako, clean him up." I order, and the man behind me grins, grabbing the corpse of the former villain, after a few crunches and snaps, he rejoins me, probably eating the bastard.

"Master, why are we hiding in this remote peninsula?" Mako asks.

"Simple, Mako, the Ring of Fire as a faction is weak. We need to bring people into the fold, but villains with strong enough quirks aren't common. So, I had a few ideas." I say brushing some orange hair out of my eyes.

"Okay?"

"Mako, do you remember the villain Ice Age?"

"Yes, she nearly wiped out Japan before Livewire stopped her."

"And what about Bloody Mary?" I say with a shrug.

"Kana, sir?"

"Yes, Oshimura"

"She's in prison, sir."

"Indeed. We're going to trick and control the stupid, or those who have nothing to lose, eventually, we'll free those two, and then we'll find others. We'll fill that hole left by All For One. We'll crush Japan. Especially father."

"Link Yuki?"

"Lincoln Cole."

The pair walk out of the room together, meanwhile, in an empty bar a person drops a newspaper that reports on All Might having become a teacher at UA High School.

"Did you see this joke?" The person says in a scratchy raspy voice. "It says he's a teacher now." He lowers a drink onto the paper covering half of all might. "Hey. What do you think will happen when the mighty Symbol of Peace..." he glances at the two in the room with him, his body covered by hands holding onto him. Also in the room is another man behind the bar shrouded in mist, and lastly a large muscular purple monster with a beak for a mouth, and its brain exposed. "...is finally killed by the villains?"

"New reports say that the hero killer has claimed yet another victim, this being reported as the pro hero El Generico was found dead in an alleyway surrounded by scorch marks and blood, he clearly attempted to put up a fight but..."

The TV suddenly switches as a young child is placed on the couch, Kyoreki suddenly perks up noticing the two sitting with him. "I was watching that."

"So?" The black-haired girl seated next to him asks changing the channel to Teen Titans Go, to which Kyo scoffs and stands up.

"I'll be practicing."

"Your quirk or the guitar."

"What I want to." Kyo says with a roll of his eyes he walks to his room and quietly begins strumming at his guitar, a singular song in his mind he mutters the chorus.

With a sigh, and the closing of a door, Akashi looks to the woman in front of him.

"You're late, Akashi." She says her hat covering her face.

"Please, I had to deal with a home issue, besides we agreed not to hide our faces, Clarissa." Akashi remains standing, Mako just outside the door. Clarissa shrugs and lifts the hat, the pair acknowledge each other. "You look younger." Akashi notes.

"Orange hair looks good on you." She grins.

"As does dark blue on you."

"I've been trying to get rid of it. But the dyes I keep using are all too weak." Clarissa tries to cover it. But stops as four others enter the room, the first a young boy with white hair and blue eyes.

He grins and takes his seat, his blue eyes staring at Clarissa. "So, what's the brief, chief?"

"First of all, Clarissa's not the chief, Juken." Akashi glares at the white-head.

"Are we ready to move on to the next plan?" A man speaks his body decayed, held together by a black pendant pierced into his heart.

"No, Jackal, we're not ready yet. We're still waiting on Arkil to ready his forces to attack the survivors of Amity."

"And what about the survivor of Remnant?" Juken grins as he leans forward.

"Remnant no longer exists in this dimension. Star was revived, and he managed to save the world, despite being in a different timeline, he protected the survivors. Can't crack open the pocket dimension for a decade, so don't bother targeting it. Eventually, Jackal, and Juken, you both will need to merge your magic in order to challenge them."

"Understood." Jackal nods.

Juken scoffs but nods as the pair return to the doors they entered through sending them back to their proper places in their world.

"Clarissa, you need to avoid Elisa Flint at all costs."

"I know." She looks down and rubs her chest a few times. Remembering an event in her past. Clarissa then extends a fist to Akashi, he looks down on her.

"What?" He asks.

"It's called a fist bump, surely you know what that is." She says playfully.

"Yes, I know what a fist bump is, I'm just curious as to why you'd want to do that. Doesn't matter, head to Ente Isla, use your magic to try and get more people to attack Daniel."

"Understood." Clarissa bows, grabbing her hat she puts it on and creates a glyph teleporting her out of the room.

Akashi sighs, now alone in the room he mutters a few song lyrics to himself. "Well have a little pride in your craft. The future becomes the past, and then you're stuck with a mediocre legacy." Akashi steps forward exiting the room, he and Mako both walk silently.

That night in Japan, Kyoreki sits on his bed, unable to sleep he walks down to the kitchen, where he grabs from the fridge a pitcher of Kool-aid. When he closes the door he glances to the side, his sister stands there, watching him.

"What do you want?"

"I don't understand you."

"Good." Kyoreki says blowing some hair out of his face. "I don't want to be around or working with a bunch of fakes."

"How dare you." Sana glares at Kyoreki. "You of all people should know that what Dad did to help you."

"Yeah, he made sure I didn't go to music school to work on my passion, instead Pa, he, and Aiazawa made sure I attended classes in UA, a place I didn't apply to."

"You sound like a villain."

"Yeah, I hear that a lot. But you remember Mom. You of all people should know how I feel." Kyoreki glares at the person he calls sister. "They all forgot her, they all abandoned me, they all chose to move on. Very few people stayed to look towards what she left behind, that was me. Raijin left me, the heroes left me, the average person didn't know I existed, most of them still don't know."

"And you think just because you were dealt a bad hand at first you can hate the system?"

"It's that system that gave rise to some of the greatest villains in the modern age. Ice Age, Tatsuya, Bloody Mary, all three of them, my mother defeated, not All Might, as much as everyone claims he did, no, that was my mother that got them in jail. Explain it to me. Why should I be happy with a system that if All Might falls will crumble, one that was built off of her corpse?"

Kyoreki glares at Sana, the pair don't back down, Kyo puts the Kool-Aid in the fridge, and walks back to his room, he stays in the room silently.

Sana, however, sighs, she looks down to a necklace. She stares at it, a few sniffles are heard, standing behind a wall, stands her father. Link Yuki. He opens his eyes, both red, as he mutters to himself. "Asumi, what would you have done?" He asks, looking to the ceiling, speaking quietly to not be heard. He sighs walking to a bookshelf, now in his room, he looks at a picture of six people, a young Link and his four friends, and his then leader.

"I'm certain you made a good life for yourself, Fenton." He murmurs. "I just wish I could protect everyone like you did back then." He looks at his wife, asleep in bed, he smiles many memories in his mind, and he lays down heading to sleep.

Akashi sits in a room, he sits cross-legged, the room barren and empty, a sleeping bag rolled up neatly in a corner, his eyes remain closed, several voices shout and speak all at the same time dozens of voices, his eyes scrunch together tightly for the briefest of moments before opening them, he stares forward, directly in front of him, a mirror, he stares at his face, his cheeks are puffy and red, he's sniffling repeatedly, a few tears have rolled down his face, leaving trails behind them. He feels a lump in his throat, he takes quick and shallow breaths, and he takes a moment to take larger and larger breaths. He calms himself. When he looks at his reflection he doesn't see the young man with orange hair and red eyes, he sees a teenage boy with blue hair and blue lifeless eyes, a corpse stares back, covered in scars and bruises.

"You will fail."

"I won't fail."

"You know you will. I'm your proof."

"Never, I will never fail. I will never, fail." Akashi glares at his reflection.

"You will die..." The body stares back at Akashi, he twists his head showing two bullet holes in his head and what is very clearly a large gash that runs up from his back somewhere, all the way to just behind his ear, a deep wound that no doubt could itself be a killing blow.

Akashi stares at the corpse, before he closes his eyes, returning to what he was doing prior, he speaks once again. "I won't fail."
