The time for the third match has come. Raijin & Iida stand together on a rock overlooking what looks similar to a dig site for minerals.

"You didn't want to talk earlier, so tell me, what is your plan?"

"Escape. This is his territory. Terrain like this is not beneficial to us."

"Okay. And why not try to capture him?"

"Cause we'll never get along in a team fight like this. Aizawa put together the teams knowing whose personalities don't resonate. And we both know that you may now trust each other, but we still don't like the other. It's the same reason Bakugo and Midoriya are on a team together."

Iida stares at Raijin, through his helmet he sees Raijin crouch down and grab two batteries from his shoe. "What are those for?"

"A test for when the match begins." Raijin says as he pushes the batteries into his special battery pack, after a moment the batteries pop out into his hand, they look no different from when they entered the device. Raijin takes a deep breath just before the signal for the test to begin blares out for them.

Chapter 16: All I Want

Once they're given their cue Raijin throws one of the batteries onto the softer ground beneath their current position. He silently watches as Powerloader bursts from the ground grabbing the battery, he for a moment is confused as he holds the battery. Raijin grins as the battery nearly explodes with electricity and shocks powerloader. "Iida now!" Raijin shouts, jumping down from their vantage point he rushes over to a second point above the softer ground beneath them, Raijin looks back as the route he took has several holes in the ground.

"So we have to move in unison or one of us might fall, that's... a problem. But it also gives me an idea." Raijin reaches into two pockets built into the suit he extracts from it five batteries a hand, he places two of them in his mouth, two into his pack, and the other six he launches randomly out in front of him. Each has a different hue of electricity bouncing off them. Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, White, and Black. Each of them hit the ground with different strengths. The first three bounce a few times while the battery surrounded by black bolts of electricity hits with a thud and sinks into the ground about six inches.

He glances back to the platform from before to find Iida still standing there. "We have one shot at this Ingenium! One of us needs to make it for us both to pass!" He gives him a thumbs-up, and jumps down. As he falls he flicks the switch on his battery, the whirring off the device gives him a good indication on how much power is left in the device. (Second Evolution, Light Pillar.) Beams of electricity shout out of the batteries Raijin threw earlier creating an easy walkway for him from one safe zone to the next, as Raijin is moving he fires several Lightning Cords into the ground around himself to try and distract PowerLoader, glancing back Raijin watches, Iida running directly at him. (Damn it fool.) He thinks to himself as he lands on the next sage spot. He wraps a cord around Iida and drags him to my safe spot. (Now Power Loader knows exactly where we both are.)

"Great, now we're in trouble if he tunnels around this spot." Raijin grumbles crouching down.

"What, but we need to work together!"

"Yeah, and we do so by splitting up." Raijin rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed with the class rep.

"We're running out places to stand."

"I see that. It's why these safe spots are our lifelines. Notice how there's four paths?"

"Yeah?"

"We need to be constantly switching from one to another, but never on the same one together."

"Why never the same one together?"

"Cause then he can trap us and make us easy pickings." Raijin lowers his head exhaling, releasing stress as best he can in the situation. "Come on Iida, I need you to work without a solid plan. We need to be flexible right now. Not... whatever you've been for the last however many years."

"We need to work together."

"I work better without you, specifically. If I had paired up with Yaoyorozu this would've been a breeze."

"I have an idea."

"Oh yeah? What's that four-eyes?"

"Fusion."

"Come again?" Raijin crosses his arms. "Wait... what are you-?! Let me down you big metal oaf!" Raijin shouts, struggling against Iida who's lifting him above his head.

"Recipro Burst!" Iida dashes forward along the ground, causing it crash down with every stephe takes, they both look forward as PowerLoader creates a massive trench in front of the pair. "Wrap a cord around my leg, now!"

"Damn it, Iida!" Raijin does as ordered, as two Lightning cords wrap around Iida's leg, Iida jumps into the air his legs let out a blue foam as he starts to spin. "Recipro Extend!" After about six or seven rotation, Raijin is sent flying for the exit, in front of him he sees PowerLoader waiting for him. He grins and finally spits out the two batteries he hid in his mouth, they make contact with the hero's armor shocking PowerLoader surrounding him in Red Electricity. As Raijin falls out of the sky he turns suddenly revealing he still left one cord wrapped around Iida, dragging his class rep behind him the pair both escape the field. Raijin lays on his back after having escaped. "I still hate this shit." He says through several deep breaths.

"We passed, didn't we."

"By some fucking miracle."

After their match Raijin sits alone watching the matches while listening to his music. Each match is about as long as two or three songs.

Raijin didn't care about who passed and who didn't. He barely even paid attention. Raijin only started to pay attention during the final match. Everyone in the room watching as he stared at the screen, vitriol and hatred directed at All Might.

"Raijin...?" Iida calls out.

"Cowards..." Raijin mutters. "You should've beat him. Failures." He seethes watching Midoriya drag Bakugo out of their battlefield.

"Kyo." Yaoyorozu puts a hand on his shoulder snapping him from his thoughts. It's then he realizes most of his classmates are watching him and not the match. Some are in shock, Iida stares at him not with the same shock as the others, it's sorrow. Yaoyorozu tries to rub his shoulder to try and calm him down, he shrugs her off and walks away from everyone else. All of them watch him leave as the announcement for Midoriya and Bakugo's passing rings out around them.

All Practicals for Class 1A's final have now been completed.

Upon hearing that Raijin left. He decided against riding the bus back to the main campus. Instead walking alone. Or... he would've.

"Hey, Raijin. Wait up." Bokasu calls out stopping next to Raijin after using his quirk to catch up to his fellow redhead. "You alright there? You're like mega-pissed right now."

"I'm fine."

"Oh come on, Raijin, even Aoyoama could see that you're not fine. And he's so self absorbed I doubt he can see even an inch past his nose."

"I said I'm fine, Bokasu." Raijin turns his head, staring harshly at the boy next to him.

"No you're not. I don't know what All Might did to you, but whatever it was it can't be bad enough for you to hate him that much."

"I don't hate All Might."

"That supposed to be funny? Cause with the way you were glaring at him, I'd have assumed you were a villain he once threw in the clink."

"Why do you even care?"

"Cause you're one of the best of us. And yet, for some reason, the arguably best student in this class, despises hero's. I'm trying to make it make sense. What could've possibly happened to make you hate heroes, let alone All Might this bad. Sure he's the quote-unquote Symbol of Peace, but why would you hate him for that."

"Cause it's a fucking lie!"

"A lie? You're saying he's a liar."

"Not him. But this bullshit system. Propped on a mountain of corpse and he stands like a king atop that with nothing to worry about. I hate the way he walks, I hate the way he talks, I hate the way he dresses, the way he acts like nothing is ever wrong. Why?" Raijin stares at Bokasu, a distinct madness, no, not madness Raijin speaks full of emotion his eyes red, his cheeks puffy but no tears form in his eyes. "Why did mother have to die for him to be the hero? Why is he the best? Huh? He gets to sit on his perch and say 'Nothings wrong, because I'm here.' And act like it means she never existed? Bull fucking shit." Raijin's breathing is rapid, his eyes red. Bokasu stares at Raijin and nods.

"You're right about that. This shit is built on a mountain of corpses. Even my brothers."

"What?" Raijin asks, breaking from his rage to confusion.

"My brother was... he graduated from UA three years ago. He was in the Support Course, so you probably never heard of him. Kurenai Bokasu. The day before my graduation ceremony from Junior High he was attacked while helping Selkie's crew with a new invention he created. It was supposed to help the ship crew scan the water for humanoids. I guess someone leaked the invention to the villains. During the installation of the device, they were attacked. The leader of the attack was a villain by the name of Mako Tatsuya. As of now, we don't know why he or his allies attacked. When his buddies were captured and he was the only one left, he killed whoever he could. He killed his girlfriend, a fellow villain, his best friend, and my brother before he got away. There's still to this day no trace of him. I didn't come to this school just to be some goodie two shoes All Might fanboy. With my quirk... I know I can beat Mako." Bokasu extends a hand to Raijin. Much of the emotion on Raijin's face now gone as he stares down at the hand before glancing up.

"You plan to walk the path of revenge?"

"No. I want to walk the path of Justice."

"Same thing. Only difference. One's legal." Raijin walks past Bokasu leaving him standing there, arm extended as if reaching out to Raijin. Who says nothing else as he walks away putting his earbuds back in listening to his music again.

I know, I know a shorter chapter, but this is a very important step in how I want to tell the story. Especially with how I plan to write Bokasu moving forward in the story.
