Chapter 4- Soulvamore Lake (Sophie's POV)

Sophie's head was a mess, she had this weird hunch that Wylie was right. Her instant reaction was to freak out, she didn't know what to say. Wylie was lost in thought, Sophie had been understanding about it and said that his theory was interesting. But it was more than interesting, she had a gut feeling it was right.

Sandor barged into her room furiously and said, "Why are Grizel and I covered in pink slime right now?" Sophie snickered and said, "Keefe was over, his job, not mine."

Sandor grunted angrily and left the room, Sophie noticed a note at the edge of her bed which was addressed by Keefe, she read it and shook her head, amused. She lay on her bed for a few minutes until her Imparter rang. It was Marella, she picked up and saw a girl with ice blue eyes and braids.

"Hey Sophie, I saw Keefe leaving Candleshade. I think he was crying, do you know what's going on? I'm pretty confused," Marella said. Sophie gaped at her, Marella nodded slowly and hung up. Sophie sighed and said, "Keefe Sencen, what am I going to do with you!"

She headed downstairs where Grady and Edaline were sitting, she said, "Marella saw Keefe crying, I think. I'll be back."

"Oh, is he alright, Sophie?" the concern in Grady's voice threw Sophie off.

"That's what I wanna know, I'll be back, love you, Sophie replied and leapt to Everglen.

Alden welcomed her inside but she said, "I just want to speak to Fitz and Biana, it's urgent." Alden was taken aback but led her to Biana's room. She realized she had never seen it before.

It was beautiful, a canopy bed was in the middle of the room and she could see huge shelves of cosmetics and thousands of dressed, it was honestly kind of messy and way too pink. Biana was wearing a teal dress, with a blue butterfly necklace and matching earrings. A silver bracelet was clasped around her wrist, she looked elegant as always.

Fitz was sitting right next to her with mussed up hair, and plain black pants, a formal white shirt was tight against his torso.

They both looked regal compared to Sophie who was forced by Edaline to still wear something fancy. She was wearing a short yellow dress which complimented her eyes. She smiled weakly after Alden left, and said, "Have either of you seen Keefe?" Both of them shook their heads, she explained the situation briefly.

Biana said, "Well, I might have an idea of where he is. Where he goes when he is upset."

Fitz smiled ruefully and said, "Of course, yes."

"Soulvamore Lake," they both said softly. Sophie scrunched her eyes but Fitz and Biana led the way. They took her to the leaping crystals and Sophie let the glittering light overwhelm her.

She opened her eyes again and was surrounded by a beautiful sunset, a gorgeous lake and a garden full of beautiful plants, trees and herbs.

And then, she spotted Keefe. She also spotted the tear trickling down his cheek.
