Chapter 1- Confused (Wylie's POV)
Chapter 1 - Confused (Wylie's POV)
Wylie was sitting alone in Tiergan's home...or his home. His bed was made of wood and was sturdy. The glass walls overlooked the beautiful beach, his table and chairs were navy blue and kept in the corner of the room.
The room represented him very clearly. The beach represented his open-minded spirit, the glass walls showed he seemed like an open book but inside he was completely different and held his guard all the time. The colour theme of the room was black, white and clear, white because of his intentions, completely pure. Clear because he felt lost when the waves lashed over the walls. Black...because of his parents, the loss he had suffered. Cyrah. And Prentice.
Prentice. He was very puzzled after Prentice. He was happy - really happy, but he was puzzled too.
Confusion had filled his mind ever since his dad was back, if, he was going back to Prentice or staying with Tiergan.
He loved Tiergan from the bottom of his heart, as much as he loved his real parents, he was proud of the sacrifices that his adoptive father had made but he still wanted to live with his father. 'Maybe we can all move in together one day,' thought Wylie in a resigned manner. His mind was still revolving with options of how he would manage his life.
He sighed slowly and got up, roaming around his room a little frantically. Twisting his fingers together, he wondered what it would be like if his mother was still with him. How she would comfort him.
Finding beauty in that feeling, he lay on his bed, looking at a photo of him and his parents before any of this happened. The reflection of his eyes in the photo frame showed him how lost he was. How lost he was without his parents. His mother. Prentice was back even though he wasn't completely fine. Now he needed his mother.
He fiddled with his bedsheets and then, it struck him, what if...his mother was still alive. What if only her consciousness separated. He laughed at himself, it was a stupid idea! He just wanted to see his mother again, right? He needed to tell someone. He needed to talk to someone. Anyone. And so, he leapt to Havenfield wondering if anyone would believe him.
