Hi thanks for deciding to read my book. So I decided that I would restart this book over because it wasn't so great. So if there is something you don't like or something is spelled wrong then tell me and I will fix it. 😊 enjoy

Emerald POV

Have you ever had this gut feeling to help someone but you can't because you know they're going to die later on if so then you probably know how I feel right now.

"Mom are you going somewhere today?" I asked as I sat down at the table.

"Yes sweetheart why?" she said with concern in her voice.

"Is it important or can you wait until I get home to do it?" I asked looking down at my hands.

"Sweetheart what wrong you know you can tell me anything." Worry was laced in her voice as she took my hand.

My mom knows about my ability to see when people die so when I ask her questions like this she gets scared and so do I. She was supposed to be dead already but because of me I saved her life every time.  She doesn't know that though.

"Just don't leave the house until I get back homes ok." I said as I stood up to get and apple.

"Okay sweetheart I guess I'll just read a book until you come home" She said looking sad.
I wonder what she was going to do she never looks sad after I tell her this I mean concerned yes but sad no.

"I love you mom okay I'll see you after school" I said after giving her a kiss on the cheek.
I never leave home without tell my mom I love her because if so it be just like what happened to dad.

As I walk to school I see so many people and so many numbers that I wish I could block out. I did find a way to block them out but you can't really wear glasses everywhere. When I tried to where fake glasses my friends kept taking them and asking me why I'm wearing them.

"Hey bestie" My best friend said as she skipped beside me.
"Hey Charlotte" I said as we linked arms.
"Hey did you hear about the cute new guy that's coming to school today" she said in excitement.

"No I didn't hear about that." I said as I try not to look at the number over her head.

"Well now you have also do you think Blake will be mad that I think he's going to be cuter than him" she said looking at me with concern.

"I think he already is" I said as I point to Blake as he walks right next to her.
"Blakey poo I've missed you" she said as she tried to hug him.

"Don't Blakey poo me I can't believe you think the new guy is going to be hotter than mwah" He said flipping his short hair.

"But I didn't say hotter I said cuter" she said looking at him.
"Cuter hotter same thing I can't even look at you right now" He said as he walked away.
"Wait I'm sorry" I watched at Charlotte chased after Blake trying to apologize.

"What are they arguing about this time" James said as he put his arm around my shoulder
"Charlotte said the the new guys going to be cuter that him" I said as we walked into school

"As long as he's not hotter than me I'm good, I cannot have anyone stealing the ladies for me" I looked at him a he combed his hair with his hand. "Why am I friends with you again"

"Because I'm awesome" I seriously question why I'm friends with any of my friends they're so childish.

"Whatever I have to go somewhere" I said as I walked of. "WAIT DON'T LEAVE BECAUSE YOU CANT HANDLE ALL THIS"

I roll my eyes as I make my way to the library. The library is the only place where I don't have to see the number. It's always empty because apparently no one knows we have a library

"Good morning Ms. Huff still alive I see"  I say as I walk up to her. "Of course I am, like I tell you everyday nothing can kill this little lady"

"I hope not" I whispered. Apparently I've never been able to see when old people die so I never know what age or what time or what's going to happen when they die.

I walked to the back of the library as I sunk into the little corner that's by the werewolf section and continued reading my book.

Once I stepped outside, I heard voices coming from downstairs and I debated with myself if I should go have a look. It was then my stomach decided to growl in hunger due to the fa-

"Um excuse me do you work here" Way can't I ever get some peace and quiet.
"Does it look like I work here" I said looking up at him.

"I don't know you tell me" Can this guy be anymore obnoxious.
"Did you not see Ms. Huff the librarian sitting at here desk" I said narrowing my eyes at him.

"No I didn't" ugggh wrong time to go on break Ms. Huff. "What do you need that's so important you had to interrupt my reading process?" Standing up I noticed how short I am compared to him.

"Oh I didn't need anything important I just wanted a reason to talk to you" He said smirking.
I watched as he walked closer to me pushing me against the wall.

He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and the other came up to move my hair behind me ear. He stared into my eyes and I watched his eyes shimmered with mischief and curiosity.

His face coming closer to mine, is he going to kiss what do I do this is my first kiss. He doesn't kiss me, but instead kisses my cheek. 

"C'était sympa de te rencontrer mon amour" He said. He unwrapped his arm from my waist and walked away but before he fully left he turned around and said "By the way my name is Alex". Once he was gone I dropped to the floor thinking. That was to fucking hot but also what the hell happened.

Okay that took me forever to write next time I'm going to write on my computer but anyway I hoped you enjoyed this chapter next chapter should be out when I finish writing it so maybe next Friday or this Friday idk.
