Elizabeth's P.O.V

"Okay, you should go now. Dad is going to be here in almost twenty minutes. And I need to do a few things cause Diana will be here in thirty minutes" I told the girls as we were standing in my kitchen.

I told dad that Diana is having dinner with us and he seemed a little happy but he hid it well. I made dinner with a little help from Rach. I settled the dinning room, put some candles and put a very calm music with Ellie's help. Everything is perfect for this dinner date.. that they kind of didn't know about.

"Okay. See you in less than an hour" Ellie said as she left with Rach. They're going to Rach's place where I'm going to meet them in less than an hour indeed.

So, I prepared a few more stuff before dad came. And when he came he had a quick shower before he changed into classic kaki pantaloons and dark blue shirt. He actually looked so good. Then after ten minutes from dad's arriving Diana did.

"Hey, Diana. You look so beautiful" I greeted as I opened our front door to her.

"Thank you, honey. You look more beautiful" She said as she smiled sweetly.

She was wearing a black dress that reached before her knees and was with half sleeves. It had pastel colored butterflies on it. She was wearing black heels and holding a black purse. She really looked so pretty.

"Please, come in" I told her as I opened the door wider.

We went inside as dad came out of the kitchen holding the last container of food that was in the oven.

"Good evening, Sam" Diana said as she looked at dad. So it's Sam, huh? The girls were actually very right. I could see the way they looked at each other with.

"Good evening, Diana" Dad said softly as he put the container on the table.

"The table seems nice" She said.

"Actually, Beth insisted to do it all" Dad said.

"I'm sorry if the food sucks. I haven't cooked in almost six years" I said apologetically.

"It's okay, I'm sure it's going to be as delicious as it looks" Diana said sweetly.

Dad went by her side and pulled the chair for her to sit down. I found myself unconsciously smiling at his action. Dad sat down across her. I sat down but as planned once I did my phone rang.. it was Rach.

"Sorry" I said to Diana before I picked up.

"Hey, Rach. What's up?" I said.

"Oh, god. I'm so excited" I heard Rach say very excitedly.

"What? Why? Did she eat something bad?" I said acting to be freaking out.

"This is so cool" She said happily.

"Okay, okay. I'm coming" I said worriedly as I hung up.

"I'm so sorry Diana. But my best friend Ellie got really sick. I have to go" I said as I stood up.

"It's okay, honey. Should I come with you? I'm still a doctor, maybe I can help" She offered as she was about to stand too.

"No, no. It's okay. You just stay and have dinner. It was cooked for your sake after all. Please, stay" I said calming her down.

"I'm really sorry" I said as I turned around and went to the front door. I heard footsteps and knew they're dad's.

"Beth" I heard dad call.

"Yes?" I asked innocently. I know dad very well and I know that he knows me very well.

"You know I don't believe that even a bit, don't you?" He asked as he looked at me suspiciously.

"Yeah, I know. But you'll thank me later. Enjoy" I said as I winked. And before he says anything else I got out of the house and started heading to Rach's. Rach was right, this is very exciting.

"Mission accomplished" I said smirking as Rach opened the front door for me. We high-fived before I went in.

"Is Kyle here?" I asked.

"No, he said he has something to do" She said and I started wondering what could it be. I missed him. I actually wanted him to be here. We walked upstairs to her room as Ellie sat there looking in her phone.

"Where's your man?" I asked her as I winked.

"He's home. His father is travelling tomorrow so he has to spend the day with him and his mom" Ellie explained.

"Where's yours?" She asked me.

"I have no idea" I answered truthfully.

"So, call him" She said.

"Should I?" I asked.

"Yeah" Rach said.

"Okay" I said as I picked my phone and dialed his number. After two rings he rejected my call, he never did.

"He rejected the call" I told them.

"Maybe, he's busy with something" Rach said.

"Do you think he's cheating on me?" I asked nervously.

"Wow, wow. Wait. Where did that come from?" Ellie asked as she looked at me as if I had a second head or something.

"I don't know. It happens in the movies all the times" I justified. I know it was stupid but.. anyways. Before they could say anything my phone rang with his ringtone.

"Hey, Mona Liza" He said once I picked up.

"Hey, Da Vinci" I said a little awkwardly.

"Come to the front door. I'm waiting for you" He stated.

"Wait, are you at my house? I'm not there right now.. I'm at yours" I explained.

"Yeah, I know. Rach told me. Come on, hurry up" He said before he hung up.

"Apparently your movie doesn't contain cheating much" Ellie said sarcastically as she laughed with Rach.

"Whatever" I said sarcastically as I stood up and left. I exited the house to find him resting his back on the car.

"Hey, what's..." I said as I stood in front of him but before I could continue he cut me with a kiss.

"What's going on?" I asked as I smiled at him.

"Come on, I have a little surprise for you" He said as he opened the passenger seat's door and let me in.

Then he turned around and hopped in himself. He played the radio as he started driving. I focused on the road hoping to memorize it if it's important. The whole road I had no idea where were we going, but once he parked the car in front of the forest I smiled.

"God, you're so smart" He said once he saw my smile.

"I'm just good at connecting the dots" I said as I hopped out.

He took me to his secret place once again. And I knew this time that he wanted me to see it. We walked inside the woods till I saw a wooden cabinet in the middle of the forest.

I liked it from the outside but when we went inside my heart melted and I liked it even more. There were lit candles placed randomly in the cabinet. There was a white and red picnic blanket on the floor with a basket on it. The walls were painted black and portraits were all over the walls. I took my time in meditating every portrait. They all looked very beautiful and professional.

"There's one very special I want you to see" He said softly.

I turned around to see him holding a canva. I walked to him and took it from him. It was the portrait we painted together. It looked so pretty. The colors were perfectly blended together. And the shades were very right.

"It's really pretty" I said as I looked up at him.

"Come on, let's hang it" He said as he took my hand and walked to a certain empty nail in the wall. I hung it up before I embraced him. We stood there for a while looking at the portrait and at the whole wall.

"The whole place looks really amazing" I said.

"Do you like it?" He asked nervously.

"I love it. I didn't know that you're so good" I told him as I looked in his eyes.

"I consider myself still learning" He said humbly.

"Your learning is awesome" I said sarcastically as he chuckled.

"Come on" He said as he took us to the picnic blanket. We sat down then he opened the basket.

"I knew that you didn't have dinner because of the cupid setup you made" He said sarcastically as he took out sandwiches from the basket. I chuckled as I looked at him softly.

"Sometimes I think that you're too good to be true" I confessed.

"Sometimes I think you're too good to be true" He said as he gave me a sandwich and took out juice bottles out of the basket and gave me one.

"I love you" I suddenly said. I had this urge to tell him this in that exact moment.

"I love you" He said as he smiled softly at me.

We ate as we spoke about dad and Diana. Then we spoke about a bunch of other stuff. After we finished eating we went out and sat on the cabinet stairs to watch the stars. It was so relaxing and romantic.

After a good while we packed the things, blew off the candles and walked back to the car. We drove to my house first to drop me.

"Thank you so much for this night. It meant a lot to me, more than you can imagine" I said as I looked in his eyes.

"I'm glad you liked it" He said as he smiled at me.

"See you tomorrow" I said before I kissed him.

"See you tomorrow" He said after we broke the kiss. I got out of the car and went inside.

God, I love this man.

"Dad, I'm home" I yelled once I went inside.

"I'm in kitchen" He yelled back. I went to the kitchen to find him cleaning.

"How was your night?" I asked him as I winked.

"It was.. good actually" He said.

"When did Diana leave?" I asked.

"About an hour ago" He said. I could sense good vibes coming from him.

"I can see you had a good time" I said as I smirked and sat down.

"We're going to talk about this, but not tonight" He said as I smirked even more.

"I see nothing to talk about, but as you wish" I said.

"Is Katie home?" I asked.

"Yeah, she's probably asleep" He answered. Before any of us could say anything we heard the doorbell ringing.

"Are you expecting someone?" I asked him confusedly. It was a little late so I was confused on who would come at this time.

"No, are you?" He asked me.

"No" I said before I walked to the door. I could hear dad's steps behind me. Once I reached the door I opened it to reveal something I really didn't think I'd see.

"Mother?" I asked out loud with the most confused and surprised tone ever.
