Dick's POV

Last hour of school.

All I do is stare at the clock.

Maths is really boring when you already know it.... heck even when you dont.

Bruce promised to take me to the Hall of Justice again today after school and I have been counting every second.

Yesterday was superfun. It made me forget about the nightmares.

The ones I cannot escape.

My parents......

They are gone...

They are  dead...

I can't think of these dreams.

Last night Bruce went patroling alone and again these assasins come.

The want blood..... but who's?

I pack my bags and get out of class where Nigel the school bully pins me.

"Hey there kiddie!" He smirks.

I internally roll my eyes.

Act weak Dick but act strong as well.

"What do you want Nigel?" I ask.

"A new controller for my play station. You're "dad" is rich enough to get it for me." He said.

"No way. Im not getting Bruce to pay or fund any of your play toys." I glare at him.

"You are so gonna regret that!" He said and punched my face.

My lip started bleeding.

"Go back to where you came from. No one wants you here and Bruce Wayne only adopted you to make himself look better. No one loves you and no one ever will. Go ahead and cry to your mommy and daddy! Oh wait! You don't have any," he spat those words which stung a lot.

"You're wrong! I do have a dad! And he cares for me even when he doesn't show it." I looked up and I saw Bruce at the end of the corridor.

He looked worried.

"Dick! Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine," I mumble.

"Good," he says and turn to face Nigel.

"So, you're the one who has been bullying my kid?" He glares.

"Uh- I'm s-sorry mister Wayne i-it wont h'happen again." He stuttered.

"I'm going to have to tell the principal about this, but I promised to bring Dick somewhere right now," he started leading me out where Alfred had the limo parked.

"Gosh your lips is bleeding," he states and takes a wet towl from one of the compartments in the limo and dabbed my lip.

"It's fine Bruce. Really." I state.

"Does this happen often?" He asked.

I stayed silent.

"Anyway Flash is bringing his nephew today so you'll have someone to talk to." He said, changing the subject.

"Cool!" I stated.

I entered the library and I saw some leaguers give us a worried look.

Was it my lip?

"What happened here? Where is Green Arrow?" Batman asked

"Something's come up. Roy Harper, Green Arrow's protege is missing." Black Canary said.

"What? He just started a few days ago how can this happen?"Batman asked.

"They were fighting lex luthor and one thing led to another." She continues.

"Um is Flash here." Bruce said, gesturing to me.

"Yeah he's getting lunch for Wally." Wonder Woman replies.

"Come on Robin. Lets get you some lunch." I nod.

As soon as I enter a red and yellow blur appeared and a boy about 2 years older than me was standing infront of me, eating a pizza.

"Hey! You must be Robin! I'm Kid Flash but you can call me Wally." Boy he's hyper.

"Yeah I'm Robin um I'm not really allowed to give my secret identity so... yea." I reply.

"That's fine! I have a feeling we're gonna be great friends." He says cheerfully.

I smile. An actual friend. I mean other than Barbara.

I turn around and saw that Bruce and Barry had already left the room.

"Hey! I think something serious is going on in the league. Wanna know what's going on?" I asked.

"Dude! It's like you can read my mind!" He exclaimed.

"Okay I'm going to hack into the sound system in the meeting room so we have to make our way to the library and i plugged a cord from the computer to my glove. A holograph appered amd i started typing.

"Woah dude! That is so cool!" Wally said.

"Shhhhh I think I hear something." I state.

"Roy Harper as in Speedy has been kidnapped. My suspicions ..." the line broke a bit but came back "Green Arrow has been searching all around for him. We think he might be here, in DC." Black Cannary said.

Batman glarred and looked at the camera.

"Robin! Stop evesdroping before I get Alf to take you home!" He states.

Taken aback I jump back.

"Wow Batman sure is scary." Wally said.

"Tell me about it," I chuckle.

"So what do you think is going on?" He asked.

"Not sure. I think GA has a protege and he's kidnapped." I say.

"Try listening in again?" He asked.

Gosh Bruce was gonna kill me but I was curious.

"I have to be cautious with Kaldur. He will be joining me as my partner." Aquaman said.

"Okay do you think that the villains are planning to-"Hawkgirl said before getting cut off.

"Robin! I know you're there now I'm giving you five seconds before I cal you know who!" Batman yelled.

Gosh he was mad. I am in so much trouble today.

I unplug the cable.

"So... wanna play?" He asked.

"Sure what game?" I replied.

"Hmmm... monopoly?"

I nod "sure why not."

By the end of the day, I made a new bestfriend, considering I only have two friends.

I had fun with Wally but now I'm gonna have "fun" with Bruce.

As soon as I got home, I ran to my room and changed into my PJs and pretended to sleep.

I heard footsteps come towards my room and I covered myself with my blacket.

"Dick I -"

He was about to turn away but then he made his way towards the bed.

"We'll talk about this tomorrow." He says and leaves.

I release my breath and prepare to go back into the world of nightmares.

Okay I know this chapter sucks but I needed to introduce some characters.

The next chapter will take place during YJ
