Okay here is the next chapter.

Dick's POV

We just got a new member in our team. Speedy was going solo so Green Arrow got another protege, Artemis.

"So Artemis, you have no idea how cool it is to have another female in this group!" M'gann said excitedly.

Artemis smiled, " Haha with this much male company, I don't understand why you would complain." 

The both started laughing while Superboy just stared at them weirdly.

"Okay Wally should be here just about.... now."I said.

Recognised Kid Flash B03

He came running in his swim- shorts and a bunch of beach items.

"The Wall-man is here! Now let's get this party star-" a beach ball fell out of his arms and he tripped over it.

"-ed?" he finished his sentence.

I burst out laughing as the ball bounced towards Batman who sent me a bat-glare so I stopped.

"Wall-man huh? What exactly is you power?" Artemis said. 

"Uh- who is this?" He asked.

"Artemis, your new teammate." she said proudly.

"Never heard of you." he replied in an annoyed tone.

"Uh- she's my new protege." Arrow said.

"What happened to your old one?" he sounded shocked and angry.

Recognised Speedy B06

"Well, for starters, he doesn't go by Speedy anymore.Call me Red Arrow." Roy entered.

Wow, talk about awkward situations.

"Roy, you look-"

"Replacable?" He finished GA's sentence.

"It's not like that. You told me you were going solo."

"So why waste time finding a sub? Can she even use that bow?" poor Roy. feeling replaced even though he went solo. I wanted to go and hug him. We were friends for a really long time. Then again, poor Artemis, the new member who is being treated like Green Arrow's back up plan.

"Yes, she can." She firmly told him.

It definately seems that she feels she need to prove her belonging in the team.

"Who are you?" Wally suddenly bursted out.

Well he clearly does not empathise with her.

"I'm his niece."

" She's my niece." 

Green Arrow and Artemis say at the same time.

Another niece?

"Anywho," I started to change the subject.

"Why suddenly drop by, Roy?" I asked.

He sent me a small smile and ipened up a hologram of a picture of a woman.

"Dr.
Serling Roquette. Nanorobotics genius and claytronics expert At royal university in star city.. Vanished 2 weeks ago." I state.
"Abducted 2 weeks ago by the league of shadows." He corrects me.

Wally got an excited look.

"You want us to rescue her from the League of shadows? Awesome!"

"I already rescued her. But there is still one big problem." Roy said.

Well turns out this Dr Roquette created some tec that could steal information and the shadows are trying to steal big stuff with this.

The team and I are basically being her bodyguard because.. well she has assasins after her so its kinda our jobs.

Artemis wasn't making things any easier for the team, with the comstant arguments with Kid Flash and the flirting with Superboy.. oh and who can forget M'gann becoming jelous over that.

So far the only people who are okay with her are ne and Aqualad.

Anyway we were trying to figure where the lastest and next target of the league is.

They just stole from cutting edge technology from Star Labs so we needed to work fast.

She was now locating their next target....

Wayne Tech!

They can't get information from there! Bruce keeps a lot of stuff in his files. And I mean a lot!

Superboy and I headed towards Wayne Tech while the rest of the team stay and  protect the doctor.

We did it. We stopped them from taking information about Bruce.

Superboy and I decided to meet outside. He had the bioship hovering in camouflage mode.

The door of the bioship opened and I saw Superboy standing inside preparing it.

I took out my grappling hook and shot it at the entrance of the ship and started flying up to the ship.

All of a sudden a knife sliced my cord and I was falling back from quite a height.

I looked for any openings in which I could shoot my grappling hook, but then realised it got sliced. I was falling and I had no way to break my fall.

I hit the ground with great force. I definately broke something but I had to get up. I needed to see who had sliced my cord.

After much effort, I got up and almost fell again, feeling dizzy. There was a pool of blood around the area I had fallen.

Two masked figures came from the shadows. Wait. I know those two people. It's the assassins that had haunted me since the day they attacked me.

Well lets just say they started attacking me again.

"Why. Do. You. Always. Attack . Me?" I asked while attempting to block their attacks. I got hit after saying the last word in that sentence. 

I stumbled back and fell on the rough ground.

"It is not you we are after. I is Batman, who we wish to kill!" The male one said.

"But why?" I asked.

"You wouldn't understand. And you don't need to know!" The female one yelled and they started attacking me some more. This time they were able to get as many hits on me as they could. I could not stop them and I could not fight them.

They lifted my head and smashed it on the floor and that was when I passed out.

Superboy's POV

Robin was taking some time getting on board. I better go check on him.

I checked the entrance of the ship and I saw as two figures attack him. I jumped off the ship and ran towards the figures just as they suddenly vanished.

I looked down and saw a pool of blood and an unconscious Robin. 

Uh- Oh.

I picked him up and jumped so we could get in the bioship faster.

I strapped him in and we took off as fast as we could. 

By the time we reached Mt Justice, the rest of the team were already there having some snacks and celebrating our victory.

I grabbed Robin and shouted to the team.

"Get Batman!" 

The team looked surprised until they saw the limp figure in my arms.

Wally zoomed out looking for Batman while the rest of the team stared in shock.

"What happened?" M'gann asked.

"I don't know. There were these two figures attacking him and I didn't see them until they left him in this state."

Batman came barging through the door with a look of worry, though he tried to hide it. Wally, following behind.

"Quick! Take him to the infirmary!" He yelled.

Wally quickly took him and rushed him to the infirmary.

Batman POV

How could I have let this happen? My kid. 

I looked through the window of the infirmary. He was still alive but he was still unconscious. The Atom was doing his best to help him. He broke some bones and has some awful cuts and bruises.

The Atom was done with what he had to do, and left.

His teammates ran into the infirmary and I stared through the window.

" Bruce! He will be okay. Don't blame this on yourself." Superman came in.

"Who else am I going to blame, Clark!" I yelled.

"The Assassins? Ras Al Gul? Not yourself." 

Soon Dick's teammates left the room as they needed to go back home, or in the case of the Martian and Superboy, they had to go to bed.

I entered the room and Dick was still not up.

I sat by his side just staring at him as something wet rolled down my face, tears.

"Bruce?" A small voice croaked.

"Dick! You're up!" I patted his shoulder.

"Th-the assassins. Th-they wanted to kill you." he said.

"That doesn't matter. You are okay. That's what matters. Now lets take you home."

He looked up and smiled.

I honestly want to thank all of you because a lot of you are reading my work and it means a lot to me so thanks.

Also I will probably not be updating till mid November because I have to study for exams but yeah.
