Ch. 10: I am not dancing with that froot loop
Sirius POV (Angela)
"Piss off, Pink Pony!" Xavier barked.
"Ooooh we are on a nickname basis now! What should I call you? Hmm..." Joshua appeared to be deep in thoughts. "Oh, I know! I should call you Wolfdaddy because you remind me of a big, bad wolf," he cooed.
Oh, the irony!
"You little..." Xavier proceeded to give him an earful, but I interrupted.
"Easy there, ladies. No need to start a brawl when everyone is trying to have a good time. We are all friends here, isn't that right?" I looked at Denver and Mischa.
"You are no friend of mine," Mischa said gruffly.
What the fuck was his problem?
Joshua smiled at Xavier seductively and said, "Agreed. How about you take me for a spin at the dancefloor then?"
Dude doesn't give up, huh?
I had to admit I was a little impressed.
"How about I break your goddamn nose?" Xavier fumed.
"Oof! Hostile. I am into it," Joshua remarked.
"Ugh! I need a fucking drink."
Xavier stormed off.
"I'll be at the dance floor waiting for Wolfdaddy," Joshua announced and skipped toward the dance floor like a real prancing pony.
"This has been fun. Excuse me while I go anywhere that's not here," Denver declared and started to walk away, but I grabbed her arm.
"You now owe me dance for saving your friend's ass from Xavier. He is playing with fire, you know." I smirked looking at Denver.
"Joshua can handle himself. And as far as me, dancing with you isn't on my itinerary so kindly remove your paw off my arm," Denver said crudely.
I did not get this girl. What was it about me that she did not like? All the girls I had met so far fell at my feet as soon as I paid any kind of attention to them. But she was playing hardball, and I was not sure if I liked it. I let go of her arm and watched her walk away with Mischa and Claudette.
This was far from over.
I always got what I wanted. I was not about to break my streak with her.
I looked at Tiffany, who was glaring at me from the sideline.
"Why are you giving that ugly bitch attention? She doesn't deserve it!" she shrilled. She positively looked green with envy.
I grabbed her shoulders and made her look me in the eyes, my stare so intense that she was shaken to the core. "What the fuck do you think you are doing?" I roared.
"Wha...what do you mean?" Her voice shook. She was finally off her high horse and looked intimidated. I guess she had forgotten I could tear her into pieces.
"You are ruining my chances with Denver, and I don't like it." I tightened my grip on her shoulders, making her wince. "I don't like it one bit." I finished off with a menacing tone.
"B... But... Sirius," she whispered.
"No buts. Stay out of my life. You are not my mate. I don't know what kind of fantasy you have cooked up in that little brain of yours but whatever it is, knock it off. I will never choose you as my mate, capiche?" I said with a tight jaw.
I let her go.
"I won't forgive you for this! You will pay for this one day!" Tiffany cried.
I sighed and walked off. I had not come here for drama. I had come here to have fun and seduce Denver.
Speaking of which, where did Denver run off to?
I saw her standing by the kitchen, alone. I proceeded to walk toward her, but Joshua jumped in front of me with both of his hands on his hips.
"I could get her to dance with you if you help me out."
He gave me a sly smile.
"What makes you think you can approach me, let alone make deals with me?" I said irritably, but he had already piqued my interest.
"Oh, so are you saying you got this without my help? Doesn't look like it to me."
Joshua shrugged and pretended to want to walk away.
I hated to admit, but he was right. Denver still hated me.
I looked at him suspiciously. "Why are you trying to help me?"
"I am not offering my services for free if that's what you are thinking. I'll convince Denver to dance with you if you can get your friend Xavier to dance with me," he said.
I was shocked at the nerve of this kid. He must have a death wish. Xavier may seem friendly at times, but he was not made of sugar and spice. He would beat the crap out of this kid if things went wrong.
"You don't know how dangerous he can be. Are you sure you wanna play this game, kid?" I narrowed my eyes.
Joshua shrugged again. "I like danger."
"He can break you in half," I tried again.
"Hot," was all he said.
I grinned sheepishly. "Alright, you asked for it. If you can handle Xavier, I'd be very impressed. Hope you know what you are doing," I said and went to talk to Xavier, who was having a grand ole time at the beer pong table. Drunk out of his mind.
Maybe it would be much easier to convince him in his present state.
"No. No way. No way in hell," Xavier declared.
Well... So much for my plan.
"Do it for me," I said and slapped my palm on his shoulder.
"I am not dancing with that froot loop just because you want to get laid. It is so fucking embarrassing!" Xavier cried.
"Come on! You are acting like a homophobe," I tried.
"No, I am not. He can be gay all he wants as long as it's not on me."
Xavier shook his head.
"I will owe you big time. You love having things over my head, remember? I will even go easy on you at the training field."
I shot my best shots playing at his vanity.
"I would also like you to pay for my lunch rest of this week," Xavier said, going into full bargain mode.
"Deal," I said, and we shook on it.
I held my chuckle as I watched him walk toward Joshua with a permanent scowl on his face. Joshua was grinning ear to ear. I was grinning too as I saw him walking over to Denver to convince her.
Finally, I thought.
Hi y'all.
Thing are heating up and there's some scheming done. Will they dance? Will Sirius get his way? Do you like it? Let me know. I do love those comments.
Thank you for reading.
Give me a follow and put the book in your library for update notifications. It'll be worth it.
