Discreetly, Toby and Spencer, hand in hand, sauntered through their suites door. They were grinning slightly and secretly, the main indication that their date was more than perfect. Spencer silently closed the door behind them, an attempt not to wake any of their roommates.

"Have a good date?" Emily asked from the couch, making Spencer and Toby jump and dark their gazes to the brunette girl giggling mischievously.

"Emily," Toby breathed, biting his lip to hide his grin. "We thought everyone would still be asleep."

Emily rolled her eyes playfully. "We've been up! Aria went surfing, Melissa ran off." She furrowed her brows. "No...she snuck off."

"Of course she did," Toby muttered under his breath, so quietly that no one, Spencer, could hear.

"Hey, I'm not complaining though!" Emily continued, her voice as perky as ever. "No Melissa is without question fine with me. You guys ready for the Stars Tell All show today?"

"I guess so," Toby shrugged. "It'll be good to announce that we are together again." He smiled at his friend, but when he heard no response from Spencer, he furrowed his brows. "Right, Spencer?" She was being awfully quiet...

Confusedly, Toby turned around, his eyes landing on Spencer's distant face and furrowed brows. "Spencer?"

After blinking a few times, she glanced around with dazed eyes. "Yeah, yeah, it'll be good..." She forced out a smile that only worried Toby more.

"You okay?" Emily asked, her voice suddenly not as high as before.

"Of course," she answered flatly. "I'm just going to get a little more sleep. I'm tired."

Toby wasn't convinced. "You slept fine last night. You shouldn't be tired."

Spencer sighed out deeply. "I just want a little nap...just an hour, love." She gave him a quick, reassuring peck on the lips and while Emily was still swooning over the fact that Spencer called Toby 'love.'

"I'll go with you then," Toby reasoned, concerned with the sudden bags under Spencer's eyes. She didn't bother arguing, so he took her by the hand and slowly led her into the room with the bigger bed. Maybe it was a good time to tell her about Jenna and Melissa...

Her back hit the cool, white sheets. Turning on his side, Toby gazed at Spencer's beautiful features. Her face, tilted towards his own, was completely breathtaking; it always was. Every day, he couldn't help but ask how on Earth he'd gotten so lucky. A love like this, it seemed too good to be true, to perfect to last. Would it? He couldn't help but wonder...what would happen once high school was over, when Spencer would inevitably go to Stanford and forced to leave him behind? Maybe he would follow her. He'd happily follow him around the universe if it meant that they could share little moments like this...simple moments when he would just stare at her and she wouldn't mind one bit.

Still keeping her eyes closed, Spencer leaned forward and kissed the very tip of Toby's nose. She crinkled it, laughing. Her lips curled up in a relaxed smile, her arms winding around his waist. "You feeling okay, baby?" he whispered lightly, his foot slowly running up and down her calf.

Spencer rested her forehead against his. "My chest hurts a little."

"Oh." That was understandable. After all, her chest was repeatedly pressed on my electric paddles a few weeks ago. As much as he wanted to tell her about the things he had seen, he figured it could wait another hour, until she was feeling less pain. "I thought you were getting better though."

"I thought so too," she shrugged. "Don't worry, Toby. I'm okay." She kissed his lips again, and again, and again, in soft, gentle kisses that made his heart swell with that longing feeling he seemed to always produce with her. He never wanted to forget this, never want to lose these precious moments...

When Spencer pulled away, he lightly ran his fingertips along her cheekbones until her breath softened and she was no longer awake.

The moon was brightly shinning overhead, and Jenna pressed her hands against her tight dress to smooth it out. There were seats and cameras set out on the beach for the televised Not Alone reunion, not that she really wanted to be there. "I haven't seen much of Toby," she commented, glancing back at the dark-haired woman on her side.

"He's with Spencer," she replied coolly, quickly. "Why does it matter to you?"

Jenna smirked to herself. She had to admit, she loved getting Melissa worked up. It was so easy and so amusing, "I missed him. Is that so wrong?" she said slyly, glancing at Melissa from over her shoulder, enjoying the way her shoulders tensed.

"So what was the point of doing the show?" Melissa questioned, changing the subject. "To get publicity? To find Toby and figure that everything could be all flowers and unicorns now that..."

"Now that you weren't there?" she finished with a raised brow. Jenna giggled to herself, pushing her long curls behind her shoulder. "Gosh, Melissa...I didn't know you were the jealous type. Placing her hand on Melissa's chest, she stared at her. "I've spent all weekend with you, haven't I?"

She nodded, putty in Jenna's hands. "I'm surprised you're even here, Melissa," she continued. "I mean, I'd figured you'd feel so terrible about...the things we did...when I was still with Toby that you'd never want to see me."

Melissa's lips curled in a half-genuine smirk, while her eyes glimmered with smallest bit of shame. "I can't feel guilt if I enjoyed every second with you..."

Jenna had to resist the urge to roll her eyes, so instead, just to make her stop talking, she kissed her slow and seductively, the way she liked it.

That was when they heard the clearing of a throat a few feet away. There Toby stood, eyes set in a glare. Melissa and Jenna both quickly turned their heads, eyes wide with alarm. Without even having to hear their voices, he knew what they would ask. "Everything. I heard everything."

Melissa looked like a deer caught in the headlights. "You can't tell Spencer."

"Why not?" Toby spat. "You are the worst person I've ever met! What is wrong with you?"

"She can't help that she loves me," Jenna amusedly commented. Toby seriously considered slapping her.

"As soon as Melissa gets here, you're all over her. I saw you kissing on the first day here. Funny though, during the show, all you said you wanted was me."

Jenna gritted her teeth. "I can't what I felt!"

Melissa looked between them with a panicked look on her face, a look that Melissa never had. "Toby, you can't tell Spencer," she stressed again.

"Can't tell Spencer what?"
Oh no. Oh no.

As if on some terrible cue, there Spencer was, arms crossed over her chest, eyebrows arched in confusion. Jenna, for once, was not smirking, and Melissa looked like a rock as she stared at Toby, as if she was mentally pleading for him not to say another.

"You coward," Toby spat at Melissa.

"What is going on here?" she said nervously. Spencer's face with full of complete confusion.

"Spencer...," Melissa started.

Toby bit his lip. "She cheated on me, Spencer. With your sister."

That was when he saw it all come crashing into Spencer's brain like a truck colliding into a building, everything snapping together and falling apart at the same time. "Wh-what?" she stuttered, looking at Melissa.

Melissa looked away shamefully.

"You? My sister." It worried Toby just how calm Spencer was being; he could see the anger welling up in her eyes, could see the tension in her clenched fists.

Then, Spencer turned her head to Jenna's, with a glare so harsh that Toby wouldn't be surprised if Jenna turned to stone and shattered into a million pieces right there.

"Toby's known for a few days apparently. He didn't bother telling you anything," Jenna added in. Spencer flinched, though she didn't pay much attention to her comment. Her concentration was on Melissa.

Spencer laughed. She actually laughed, a dry, humorless chuckle that broke Toby's heart. "Helping me through my accident...you were just doing that so I'd bring you closer to Jenna, didn't you?"

Melissa furrowed her brows. "Spencer, don't do this..."

That was when they heard the director's "We are live in five minutes!"

Spencer looked back at the director once, then at all three of them. First to Jenna, then to Toby, then at Melissa, before walking off in another direction. The three of them just stood there for a moment in silence.

"Well I think she overreacted," Jenna sighed.

Melissa glared sharply at Toby. "What were you thinking? Why did you tell her that? Now of all times!"

He faced her, giving her a slap on the face that sent her flying back. "She had to know! You obviously weren't planning on telling her."

"Sure I would've, eventually." Rubbing her cheek, Melissa corrected him.

Toby huffed nervously. "I'm not doing this right now. I can't it's not important. I'm going to go talk to her." With that, he ran off to find Spencer.

It wasn't hard to find her; she was sitting close to the waterline about twenty minutes down the beach, almost frozen, except for the finger which grew the same circle over and over again in the sand. She was a few hundred yards away now, and he could only make out her dim silhouette. Her head was down, concentrated on the circle.

Hesitantly, Toby approached her and silently sat down beside her. She didn't glance up though, and when he heard the little sniffle come from her, his chest ached. She was crying...Spencer Hastings, his best friend and lover, who had always held the weight of the world on her shoulders, was finally coming undone.

Bringing his knees up to his chest, Toby stared at her intently. "You want me to tell you want I think?"

No response.

"I think...that you feel deceived. That you thought you were finally getting your sister back, and now you realize that you're not. But it's not Melissa that's bothering you, is it?" Toby placed his hand over Spencer's, the one that was drawing the circle. He stopped it from moving and gently stroked the back of her palm. "You're taken off guard. You feel...alone."

"Alone," she repeated, finally lifting her head. She looked out at the ocean. "I just...no matter how hard I try, something's always missing. Every time I wake up. My sister, she's the only family I have...the only person I've known forever."

"I know," Toby whispered, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and pulling her close to him. "You have Melissa, Spencer. She loves you, even if she did get caught up with Jenna. If you can't forgive her now, you have time. Hey, I know I'm not the best in the world, but no matter what, you'll have me."

Toby smiled softly when Spencer rested her wet cheek against his shoulder. "I know you have to be strong," he whispered. "Strong for me, for everyone...but sometimes, like now, when you need to cry, it's okay. I'll always be there."

After a brief pause, Spencer wrapped her arms around Toby. "I love you so much," she breathed. She didn't even know why she was crying anymore; she just had to; she'd kept so many emotions bottled up inside, and in his arms, she knew his words were true. With Toby, she would never be alone.

"I know," he said softly. "I love you too."

He didn't know who long they stayed there, locked in this embrace. Toby couldn't help but smile. There he was, holding his best friend, holding the kid who gave him all the popcorn she didn't want in fifth grade, the little boy who unlawfully, the friend who made her who made her dance in the parking lot all night during the school dance, the man who taught her what it felt like to love and to be loved. Together, they faced many challenges, but somehow, they always made it through. They still had challenges to face, there without a doubt. But they knew one thing for sure: together, they were devoted.

Because after all, they were not alone.
