SYNOPSIS

THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS ATHENA HURLEY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND, FIRST BEING THE DEATH ━ MURDER, OF HER MOTHER.

AND AFTERWARDS, she didn't understand why her father spent so much time at the lake house. That was until she was picked up early from school by a security detail and brought to the home she'd refrained from asking to visit since she was eight, later, her father would stand just inside the living room, the furniture in the exact positions it had last been left in.

And that was where she would meet her personal body guard, the person that would be watching her and making sure she followed the rules of her newly assigned house arrest.

Of course, the college drop out should have known better. Being brought into the home of the single father who just so happened to have a teenage daughter- the fact she was close to turning eighteen at the back of his mind- that he would get drawn into some crazy shit.

But the fact he was supposed to train her- or at least help- it seemed difficult enough with her attitude problems much less the fact that he would be scrutinized every second by her father, who, to his dismay, was his own trainer directly from a unit of the CIA.

Now, not only is it his job to protect her, but train her to be able to protect herself and others, and for some reason she seems to have a stick up her ass about the idea.

Maybe it's just him, or maybe it's the fact he has a small lingering feeling about what's to occur, and he doesn't like it.
