Nights with the smell of alcohol swelling up in the air. The stars shimmering in the dark sky with a round moon beaming brightly like it's a perfect night. Couples giggling and kissing like they own the place.

Yet here she was, sitting alone on the rooftop with no tears to shed. Maybe it would have been better if they did. Broken hearts can't be fixed. Hers was literally smashed and torn many times with several bandages desperately clinging on to fix the pain.

And he came into her life just like that, looking perfect and all but she didn't want to try and fall in love. Because it was easy to fall in but difficult to fall out. She couldn't afford to be wounded again. No matter how much she tried, she just couldn't get her happy ending.
