Chapter 9
"Try me."
Yoongi's eyes widened when he heard those words came out of Jungah's lips. Her mesmerising stare had him charmed and the way she slurred sounded sexy to him. At first, he just planned to tease her but it was just so tempting when his eyes landed on her red lips.
He smirked and got closer but stopped when she placed a finger on his lips.
"Did you think I'm like those other girls?" she chuckled, "I don't plan to be played, Min YoonGi."
Yoongi stared at her for a while and bursted out laughing. Jungah raised her eyebrow as she wondered what was so funny. He shook his head and placed his phone on the table as he sat down.
"I don't plan on playing with your heart, my author. I've told you before. I'm going to prove to you that chivalry isn't dead."
Jungah placed her chin on the knuckles which was supported by the elbow that laid on the table.
"Why are you so into proving it? I mean it was a drunk talk and you could've just ignored it."
"I just want to prove to you that happiness exists."
"Does it even exist?"
"That's why I want to prove it. I've read all your stories and it seems like you've only experienced love that brought pain. But you need to know that I've gotten my hands on that very first book as well. It made me really happy when I read it and I want you to experience such love again."
The book that Yoongi was talking about was the very first novel Jungah wrote. At that time, she just started writing and wasn't popular. That book wasn't a hit. In fact, it was not known to many.
"It's a failed book," she sighed.
"It's not to me. It's the best book I've ever read," he smiled.
"You are weird but interesting."
Yoongi should've been offended by her words but his heart decided to skip a beat instead.
"So, will you let me in?" he requested.

It was rare for Yoongi to use his car. He only used it if he planned to get really drunk and hire a chauffeur to drive him back home. However, he drove back home without even having his lips touch a sip of liquor.
His previous plan was to get a drink at the bar and maybe spend the night with a girl or two. However, his plan immediately vanished from his brain after meeting Jungah at the rooftop.
He didn't know what it was about her that drew him in. She had left a really impactful impression when they first met and she was the author of his favourite books but she wasn't his type.
Jungah wasn't the type to flaunt her beauty. She wasn't bothered to try dolling herself up to charm men. And she seemed like the type to get hurt easily.
A fragile rose who would never be able to seduce a charming bee that every flowers want. However, that sole fragile rose did stand out and ended up the sparking interest of the other.
Yoongi couldn't believe that he wanted to kiss a girl who didn't bother to let him in, let alone charm him. Maybe that was the reason why she was so interesting.
A smirk grew on his face and he gripped onto the wheel which he steered the car to turn to enter his house.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to be patient with this one."

Yoongi walked inside and past the living room where Mr Min's lover, Chaerin, was seated. He didn't bother to greet her and wanted to go to his room without being noticed.
But of course she just had to notice.
"You are back, Yoongi. Why didn't you tell me? I would have prepared dinner."
Yoongi rolled his eyes.
"You expect me to report to you every now and then? What are you... my mom?"
"I was just-"
"We are the same age," he cut her off, "I don't know what your plan is but I'll never see you as a part of my family. So, just pretend that I do not exist and continue being that doll my Father plays when he's bored."
Yoongi walked past Chaerin and straight up the stairs to his room. He didn't even bother to take another glance at the lady.
Chaerin watched the back of Yoongi slowly getting out of her sight.
"We used to be friends, Yoongi."

"Friends? You were a gold digger from the start."
Yoongi pulled his tie off and threw it onto the bed. He plopped down on the end of the bed and ran his fingers through his hair roughly.
"Such a waste of my time."
He closed his eyes and let out a sigh. Taking in a deep breath, he stood up and started stripping. His well built body despite his slim figure was slowly revealed as his clothes slid down his pale skin. He entered the bathroom and turn the heater tap on.
The shower tap was lifted and the warm water trailed down his artistic physique. The water that hit against his anatomy took his fatigue away as well as clear his thoughts.
He came out with a white bathrobe. He blowdried his hair quickly and went to search for his phone.
"This is weird."
He squinted his eyes and went through the pockets of his pants for his phone but it wasn't there. He raised his eyebrow and put on a comfortable wear before heading down to the garage where his car was, ignoring Chaerin who was still in the living room.
He had went through his entire car but his phone was nowhere to be found. He hummed as he tried to recall where he could've left his phone. He ran back up to his room, ignoring the lady again.
He grabbed his other phone and decided to dial his number but it was to no avail. He clicked his tongue when he remembered his phone was out of battery.
He groaned in frustration and set the phone aside. He jumped onto his bed and nuzzled his face against the pillow.
"I'll just go to sleep!"

Jungah stared at the glass that was half filled with wine. She definitely regretted not accepting the kiss but her heart couldn't bear to take it. She couldn't believe Yoongi was really serious about proving her that chivalry isn't dead.
Sure enough there would be gentlemen out there but the person who had earned the title of a heartbreaker proving her was just too weird.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a phone call and so she eyed on the unfamiliar phone that was erupting angrily with a ringtone that definitely was not hers. She grabbed the phone and picked it up without checking the caller.
Before she could even speak, the other end started crying and it belonged to a lady.
[Min Yoongi, don't leave me. I'll do anything for you. Please just stay!!!!]
Jungah guessed that Yoongi must've left his phone behind. She checked the caller ID but it wasn't saved.
She placed her phone against her ear again.
[Umm Excuse me.]
The other stopped sniffing immediately.
[Who is this?! Are you the new girl?! Gosh! How dare you steal my hubby away from me?!]
Jungah scoffed.
[Yeah, sure I am, Miss whoever you are. Why so hooked up on someone who didn't even save your number?]
[What?! He didn't even save my number?! It's fine! I'll make sure he'll be all over me sooner or later! It will be over for you soon! I'm going to-]
Jungah rolled her eyes as she hung up the phone. She put the phone down and yet another call came in. She checked the caller ID and it was just another number. Hoping this one would help to connect to the owner of the phone, she picked it up.
And she regretted it immediately when she heard a voice of a drunk lady.
[Yoongi baby~ don't you miss me? I'll get you whatever you want. Just stay with me.]
Jungah hung up the phone as she knew it would just be another whine. However, she didn't shut it off as she needed to return it back and hoping that someone useful would call. Also, she didn't want to go through the contacts as it was locked with a passcode.
She put the phone down and let out a sigh.
"All I wanted was a peaceful night."
Her 'peaceful' night was disturbed in just a second when the phone rang again. She clicked her tongue and grabbed the phone. She answered the call.
[I'm sorry but this phone just had legs and ended with me so your dear MIN YOONGI IS UNAVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT.]
[Umm Sorry?]
Jungah was surprised when the voice didn't belong to a lady and furthermore she had heard this voice before.
She checked the caller ID and it said 'Idiot Hyung'. Finally, a number he had saved although the name was not convincing.
[Oh I'm sorry. It's just that this phone had been ringing the entire time. Well, your friend had left this phone behind and I was wondering how I should return it back.]
[Well, I wouldn't want it to be a burden for you so just sent me an address so that brat- I mean Yoongi can come and collect it.]
[That would be wonderful. I'll send it.]
Jungah let out another sigh as she ended the call. She typed in the address to the company and sent it to the caller. The phone switched off by itself afterwards to low battery percentage.
"Looks like I have some sort of string of fate connected with him."
