Chapter 20
Jungah's face crimsoned and she had to quickly rush to the washroom after snapping back to reality. She had yet to come out since then.
Hearing the sudden confession by Yoongi had set her heart to repeatedly jump. She just couldn't calm down and she breathed in and out. She looked t the mirror.
"It's okay. It's just a confession, Jeon Jungah. You already did so much more with him so why are you behaving like a little teenage girl getting asked out by her crush?"
Just a second after asking that question, she squealed and couldn't stop smiling. She slapped her cheeks to just stop behaving that way.
She really needed to act normal as she didn't want to go out looking weird in front that very man who just voiced his feelings out to her.
It took her a few smacking of face, washing of hands and internal screaming to set her heart rate back to normal.
As she was doing so, familiar lady walked into the toilet. The person hummed as she took out her lipstick and added colour to her already red lips.
Jungah glanced when she saw the lady staring at her.
The lady whom she recognised as Namjoon's girlfriend.
"Oh! You are that famous Jeon Jungah, right?" she smirked as she kept her lipstick, "It's nice meeting you again."
She turned to face the author and placed her hand on the waist. She checked Jungah out from head to toe.
With a sly smile, she spoke, "I wonder what's so attractive about you that Joon hesitated to break up with you."
She paused and hummed with a grin, "Oh right! He was just looking for a distraction during our break and maybe he felt guilty for that."
Jungah's eyes twitched and had to withhold her urge to slap that woman.
The author just gave her a professional smile.
"Instead of wasting my precious time, you should go to your own lover. I'm an author whose hands need to work the magic unlike you who have nothing but mouth to blabber nonsense."
Jungah rolled her eyes walked out of the toilet. She was then stopped when her wrist was grabbed.
"Husband," the lady corrected which caused Jungah to raise her eyebrow.
"What?"
The lady held her hand up and showed off the huge diamond ring on her fourth finger with a huge grin.
"He proposed to me last night!" She chirped and Jungah's heart dropped.
The bandages on her heart was slowly being torn away and the old wounds were ripping apart.
"I don't know why but it was really simple yet romantic. He proposed to me while we were up in the Ferris wheel and the fireworks exploded in the sky."
Jungah didn't want to hear another word. Her heart was screaming in pain and her eyes were starting to sting. It felt a thousand times worse to know that he proposed another woman at the same place he promised to marry her.
Jungah chuckled and tried so hard to not show a slight bit of heartache on her face when she saw Namjoon standing behind the lady.
"Joon!" his lover excitedly chimed when she felt his presence. She immediately threw her arms around him and kissed his cheek. Namjoon smiled weakly and then glimpsed at Jungah.
"I- I was planning to tell you."
"Congratulations!" She put on her best smile despite her heart shattering into tiny pieces for the second time, "For real, I'm happy for you."

Before any of them could say anything, she left. She didn't want to look at them. She didn't need their pity. Most importantly, she didn't want to meet his eyes and fall right back into him. She didn't need her feelings to get tangled up with fear of losing, regret of leaving, anger of knowing and desire of longing. She didn't want to break again after trying to pull herself together.
She wanted want to feel those emotions again and yet she was crying. Tears staining her cheeks like it was meant to. Her entire world was falling apart and she needed someone... anyone to be there to tell her that it's-
"It's alright."
Time just stopped and everything tangled in her mind was replaced by Yoongi's voice. His warmth embraced her as his hands wrapped around her waist from the back.
For the first time, she didn't feel the weight of those weights. She didn't feel the need to pretend that everything was fine because it really was fine.
She held his arms and pulled them down so that she could turn to face him. Despite how bad she looked with all those messed up makeup due to constant crying, she was an angel in his eyes.
The two were lost in each other's eyes and a sigh left past her lips which caught Yoongi's attention.
"Yoongi?"
He hummed in question, initiating her to continue.
She smiled, "Can I get some wine tonight?"
He chuckled and pressed his lips against hers gently.
"Of course."

Jungah sort of regretted asking Yoongi to accompany her for the night. She sat in the car while Yoongi drove off. The silence was necessary for the moment.
She didn't want to be like Namjoon. She wasn't searching for a replacement. She was looking for comfort and happiness.
She didn't want to take advantage of another person's feelings for her own benefit.
"On a second thought, I think this was a bad idea. I think we-"
"We are just going to the bar, Jungah."
"I-I know that but I feel like I'm using you-"
"It's okay to use me. You can tear, crumble and break my heart into tiny pieces as long as yours is not involved. As long as you are happy."
"Why are you doing this?"
Yoongi just smiled, "Because I want to."
"That's being plain stupid."
"Well, I sure am not smart like other Prince Charmings but I can give a lot more than they do."
"I don't know what you plan to gain from this, Yoongi but I can tell you that whatever you are doing won't benefit you."
"It does. I get to see my world happy."
"What?"
Yoongi produced a beautiful bright smile that light up the dark night and Jungah's eyes glossed when she saw his smile.
"You are my world and I want to see you happy. So, feel free to play with me and if you get bored, you can throw me away. If anyone ever hurts you, come to me and I'll make sure they see the depths of hell. I just want you to know that I don't want to plan to receive anything in return and that I'll be there for waiting for your return."
His heart was at ease as he voiced his feelings out. There were all true. He wasn't lying at all.
He continued.
"I just need you to return back to that happy and carefree Jeon Jungah I met before."
