"Almost ten years ago, when Abhinay, Kabir and Sid went to Paris for a trip and Alya was off to her parents' house.." Niharika began her story​.

"Sidharth, I don't know how you're going to handle this news. It's going to be tough for you. It's tough for me as well." Niharika said looking at Sidharth who was standing in a corner leaning to the wall.

"I'll be fine." Sidharth said.

"You know, I wanted Abhinay to hold my hand and stand by me when I'd tell you all about my past but there's something else written in our destiny."

"Ten years ago, when all of us were on a vacation, something happened that changed my life, something that took away all the life in me. I didn't expect that to happen but it's something that shattered me and will now shatter Sidharth." Niharika said getting off the bed.

She walked to the window and leant over.

"Sidharth, Anisha.. She's.. dead. Anisha is dead."

Sidharth looked up at once at Niharika. Niharika nodded.

Sidharth shook his head and Niharika nodded.

It didn't just come as a shock to Sidharth, but also to the others.

Sidharth fell on his knees and said "This can't happen. Niharika, you're lying. No. My Anisha can't be dead. Stop lying."

"I'm not lying, Sidharth. She's dead. She left me and you." Niharika said going down on her knees and hugging him.

"What happened, Niharika ? Tell me everything." Sidharth said seperating Niharika from the hug.

"She was killed, Sidharth. She was killed. They killed her." Niharika replied.

"What ?" Sidharth asked.

"Yes, they killed her. The night after your break-up, someone came into the house and killed Anisha and her parents."

"Trust me, Sidharth. Please trust me over this. She was killed. She didn't suicide. Those murderers portrayed the whole scene as a suicide. I saw them strangling Anisha to death. I don't know who. They were strangling her to death. She.. was struggling for life and I could do absolutely nothing." Niharika told them crying.

" I went down and told Mom and Dad. They didn't believe me. But we went to Anisha's house. When we did, her mom and dad were dead as well. We went up to Anisha's room and she was hung to the ceiling." Niharika said looking at Sidharth and still crying. Sidharth was crying too while the others had tears in their eyes.

"No one believed me. Not the police, not my parents. I trusted my parents that they'll believe me, but they didn't. I lost my best friend. I could do nothing to save her. Nothing. I couldn't even prove to the world that she didn't suicide. I couldn't."

"She was strong, just like me, back then. She couldn't suicide. Both of us hate self-harm. She wouldn't suicide. She can't suicide. She's my brave girl. She loved her life. She needn't suicide. No one believed me. I lost my best friend. I hated myself for not being able to prove to the world that she was a brave girl." Niharika said pushing the side table away making everything on the side table fall.

Sidharth pulled her into a hug forcefully because she was resisting and cried with her.

"I miss her, Sid. I miss her. Even today, at night, I'm terrified by the sight of her being strangled to death and then the sight of her hung to the ceiling. She's my bestfriend dammit. I know she can't do anything like that. She loves me. She loves you. I miss her." Niharika said digging her face into the crook of his neck.

"I miss her too." He whispered crying and patting Niharika's head.

"Sidharth, she didn't break up with you that day." Niharika said breaking the hug.

"What ?" Sidharth asked confused.

"Yeah. She told me that she'll patch up with you once you come back from the vacation. She didn't even mean to break up with you. She knew that you love her and so you'll change for her. And if she breaks up, you'll change for her to get back to her. She loved you, with all her heart, just like you do." Niharika told him.

"I don't know what to say, Niharika. I don't know. When she told me not to show my face to her again, I was an idiot to listen to her. I love her, Niharika. I waited for her for almost ten years to know what ? That she's dead." Sidharth replied.

"She's not dead. She's killed. She was murdered." Niharika shouted.

"They killed her. They bloody murdered her. They strangled her to death." She said throwing away everything infront of her.

Prisha stepped forward to stop Niharika but was held back by Abhinay.

"She hid those emotions for ten years. She didn't let her anger and her sadness out of ten years. She buried it deep inside her. Let her let it all out for once and for all." Abhinay said and Prisha nodded.

Sidharth was just sitting there lifelessly.

Anisha, I thought one day, we'll be back together but today, I find out that, that one day, will never come. I missed you for ten years and I'll miss you for the rest of my life. You're my first love, Anisha. I'll always love you, with all my heart, just like I did. Sidharth thought.

Niharika was tired of throwing things away, she was tired of crying and tired of shouting. She did what she wanted to do in the last ten years, but couldn't do.

I hide the tears, when I say your name, but the pain in my heart is still the same. Although, I smile and seem carefree, there's no one who misses you more than I do. Niharika thought.

None of them knew what to say. They didn't know half the things that happened though Niharika told them everything. There were still unanswered questions. Prisha was the only one who knew everything other than Niharika and now, Sidharth.

"Sidharth and Anisha were in a relationship ten years back, when they were 15 or 16. Anisha always wanted Sidharth to be a little more social and have fun in parties which Sidharth never did ten years ago, you know that. They had small fights over that a number of times and broke up. But Anisha didn't mean to break up, she just wanted him to be a little more social. She would come back to him no matter what, even if he wouldn't be social. But before she did, all that happened." Prisha told Abhinay, Kabir and Alya.

A lot of people guessed Niharika was Anisha and Prisha was Anisha but no guys ! It's none of them ! Now, the coming chapters will bring in way more twists !
