"Your honour, Mr.Abhinay Harsh Vardhan has been convicted of molestation and attempt to murder of Ms.Meenal Arora." Meenal's lawyer spoke. Meenal was the victim.

The court hearing had commenced. Abhinay, his parents, and everyone else were present.

"I object your honour. What proofs does Mr. Sharad have to declare my client - Mr. Abhinay Harsh Vardhan as guilty." Sidharth spoke.

"Your honour, I have witnesses. With your permission, I'd like to call them into the witness stand." Mr. Sharad spoke.

"Permission granted." The judge said.

Two girls stepped into one of the witness box.

"Please introduce yourselves." Mr. Sharad said.

"I'm Harshi Gupta." One of them spoke.

"I'm Kriti Roy." The other spoke.

"So, Ms. Kriti and Ms. Harshi, what happened that day ?" Mr. Sharad asked.

"Sir, that day, we both and Meenal were going to a party. Meenal was coming on her scooty and both of us in our car. Meenal started fifteen before us. When we were on our way, we saw Meenal's scooty. We got out of the car to see what happened. We saw two boys trying to force her. They've already hit her with an iron rod. Me and Harshi attacked them with iron rods and hit them. They left Meenal and ran away." Kriti spoke.

"I object, your honour." Sidharth spoke.

"Yes ?" The judge asked.

"I request you to grant permission to call upon Meenal's parents to come into the witness stand." Sidharth requested.

"Permission granted." The judge said.

Meenal's parents stood in the second witness box.

"Mr. and Mrs. Arora, do you know these two girls ?" Sidharth asked them.

"No. We don't know them." Mrs. Arora said.

"Did Meenal go out to a party​ that day ?" Sidharth asked.

"Both of us were in Kolkata for a family event. We don't know." Mr. Arora answered.

"Your honour, please note, Mr. and Mrs. Arora do not know Mr. Kriti and Mr. Harshi. How come the parents do not know their daughters friends ?" He told the judge.

"I object your honour." Mr. Sharad spoke. "Meenal Arora was 21. She isn't a kid. She can have friends who her parents don't know."

"Your honour, let's say that her parents don't know her friends for now. Let's move on to another point. Your honour, this is the case file of Meenal Arora written by the police." Sidharth said submitting a file.

"In these records, it's written that Meenal Arora was wearing a chudidar when she was taken to the hospital. Please note, Ms. Kriti and Ms. Harshi told us that they were going to a party but who wears a chudidar to a party." Sidharth said putting forward his point.

"I object your honour. My client has the rights to wear anything she wants to anywhere she goes." Mr. Sharad said.

"Objection overruled."

"Thank you, your honour. I'd say that these girls are equally involved in this crime." Sidharth said.

"I object, your honour, he's blaming the witnesses." Mr. Sharad said.

"Your honour, I'd prove that they are​ involved in the crime in some time. I'd request you to grant permission to call Mr. Abhinay Harsh Vardhan into the witness stand." Sidharth said.

"Permission granted."

"So, Mr. Abhinay Harsh Vardhan, what actually happened that night ?" Sidharth asked.

"That night, We, me and Kabir were out to bring Ice cream. We took the short cut because the main road was blocked. Then, we saw a girl being molested. We went to help them. They attacked us too but we managed to rescue to girl because they ran away. Then these two girls came and claimed that they were her friends, so we handed over the girl to them and came back. Your honour, we didn't know helping a girl will make us the convict."Abhinay confessed.

"He's lying, your honour. He was absconding for the following two days." Mr. Sharad stated.

"I object, your honour. I have the proof that he wasn't absconding. Abhinay, with his family went on a pre planned trip. Here are the bookings." Sidharth said handing over a few papers.

"Your honour, to conclude this case, I'll put one last proof forward - Meenal Arora's medical file." Sidharth said. "I request you to grant permission to call Prisha Shrivastav into the witness stand."

"Permission granted."

"So, Prisha, why did you go to the hospital​ yesterday ?" Sidharth asked.

" I was suspicious of Meenal's medical records because when we went to see her in the hospital, we saw she flinched when she was given an injection. Comatosed patients can't feel pain. So, I went to perform a sting operation and I  got two files." Prisha answered.

"Your honour, here are the files." He said passing a file. "One of these is what has been given to Meenal's parents and police. The other one was a protected medical report."

"The first one says that Meenal is comatosed and the second one says Meenal is completely fine and she's being given sedatives to keep her unconscious. This is only means that Meenal is completely fine and someone is dressing the whole scene." Sidharth explained.

"I object, your honour. They are files that have been made. Any hospital can make it if given some money." Mr. Sharad said.

"And that's precisely what your clients have done." Sidharth said.

"Your honour, they are purely lying. Is there any proof that Meenal is being given sedatives ?" Mr. Sharad questioned.

"Oh yes, Mr. Sharad, we do have proofs. Your honour, please play this video and you'll know." Sidharth passing a pendrive.

"Ms. Prisha, can you explain ?" Sidharth asked.

"Sure. Your honour, yesterday, after my first sting operation, I knew that it wouldn't be enough. I went back to capture a video of Meenal being given sedatives and that's exactly what I've done. The clip is in the pendrive." Prisha told.

The clip was played and it was clearly visible that Meenal was given sedatives.

"The court is adjourned. The desicion will be given after the break." The judge said getting up from his seat.

They all moved out of the court except for Abhinay as he was still in the police custody.

"Prisha, when did you do the second​sting operation ?" Niharika asked.

"When you went to the jail with Sidharth, aunty and uncle." Prisha answered.

"She told me about it this morning because she didn't want the proof to be stolen." Sidharth told them.

"Prisha, thanks so much. You've done a very big favour by helping Abhinay." Neeti said.

"Aunty, it's my responsibility. I'm going to be the daughter-in-law of Vardhan family and Abhinay is more like my brother. How can I not help him." Prisha said.

The break got over and they moved back in.

The judge took his seat and was ready with his desicion.

"Taking into consideration the strong proofs, the courts has declared Mr. Abhinay Harsh Vardhan innocent along with Kabir Vineet Vardhan who was a prime suspect. Ms. Kriti and Ms. Harshi have to pay a fine of fifty thousand each for being found guilty of dressing the scene and have to serve a jail period of one month. The court orders the Bangalore police to investigate further and find the guilty. Abhinay Harsh Vardhan will be released with immediate effect. The court is adjourned till the next hearing. Thank you." The judge said.

Smiles were visible on all their faces with Niharika having the widest smile. Abhinay was released.

He was first hugged by his parents and then, Kabir and Alya followed by Prisha and Sidharth.

He finally moved to Niharika. She hugged him tight.

"It's all fine now." Abhinay whispered.

"Hmm.. I'm glad." Niharika replied.

"Umm.. let's move home ?" Sidharth said resulting in Abhinay and Niharika breaking their hug.

Hey guys ! So the suspense if finally revealed. This might be a little boring but the next two to three chapters will be amazing because the pasts will be revealed.

So wait for it. Also, this scene was a teaser of the thriller. Picture Abhi baki hai mere dost. Trust me, today I narrated the upcoming thriller plot to my friend and she was like it was amazing. The suspense I'm gonna create will be just awesome. You might feel I'm boasting but that's how it is. If I'm wrong, correct me.
