Helping Hand NGO

Kavya and Ruhi were moving towards the dining room to volunteer for lunch, when they halt, hearing an argument.

They find the NGO Manager, Mr. Vikas Mehra is arguing with a Lawyer. They face each other with a suspicious look and wait to know what is happening.

The Manager argues, "That land was provided to us for building a school. We will not give it to your client for making a hotel."

The Lawyer informs, "Mr. Mehra, don't force me to take an extreme step. My client is paying you a good value for leaving that land."

Vikas retorts, "No, I will not compromise with the rights of the poor kids. The land is provided for building a school for free education and I will not allow anyone to use it for commercial purpose."

The lawyer rolls his eyes and threatens in a calm tone, "Alright, I offered you money, but you refused. Now, I will make sure, you can't even place a brick on that land. Have a good day."

The lawyer doesn't wait for a response and turns to walk towards his luxurious car. He sits in the back seat and orders the driver to drive.

Vikas turns to enter his office, fuming in anger. While Kavya and Ruhi stand at their spot.

Kavya faces Ruhi and suggests, "I think we should help."

Ruhi asks, "But how? Now we can't take Ranveer Uncle's help as we did earlier."

Kavya assures, "I will figure out something. Come."

Vikas's Office

Vikas is busy reading the documents of the land when he hears the knock on the door. He permits the person to enter, while continuing his work. The door opens, revealing Kavya and Ruhi enter, and make their way towards his desk.

Vikas faces them and asks, "How can I help you ladies?"

Kavya offers, "Actually, we are here to help you."

Vikas frowns in confusion and Ruhi informs, "We heard your conversation with the lawyer."

Vikas sighs and informs while continuing the work, "You can't help ladies, those are rich people, who only think about their money and profits."

Ruhi throws a teasing wink to Kavya at the mention of rich people and giggles in silence.

Kavya glares at her, before moving closer and offers, "I can really help, please give us a chance."

Ruhi composes herself and requests, "Yes Sir, we won't disappoint you."

Kavya reads the doubt in Vikas's eyes and informs, "I have contacts with high profile lawyers and trust me, this will help to keep the land safe."

Vikas thinks for a moment and agrees to hand over the responsibility of the land to them. He provides the documents of the land and the agreement, which mentions the land is provided to the NGO for building school for free education.

Ruhi and Kavya collect every information they need and assure to handle the matter.

Terrace

Ruhi and Kavya arrive at the terrace with the land documents. They settle on a bench and send the pictures of the documents to Kavya's family friend Ashwini, who is an advocate in Delhi.

Ruhi asks after sending the pictures, "Will it help?"

Before Kavya can answer, her phone starts ringing and she immediately answers it, seeing Ashwini's name, flashing on the screen.

Kavya asks on the phone impatiently, "Hello Ashwy, can you help with this? Are the papers accurate, which I have sent you?"

Her friend giggles in response and states, "Calm down Super Woman, take a deep breath. All the papers are accurate and it is clearly mentioned, the land has to be used by Helping Hand for educating needy children ONLY. So, that stupid lawyer legally can't even touch the land."

Kavya takes a breath of relief and shows a thumbs up to Ruhi, who smiles in response.

Ashwini continues in a concern filled voice, "But I know such people Kavya, they can take any extreme step to snatch what they want. They don't follow the law."

Kavya demands with concern, "There would be some solution to it."

Ashwini advises, "Yes, you can take restraining orders for the land, in this way, if anyone does anything, then you can file a case against them. The land will be safe."

Kavya agrees, "This is a good idea, but I need a local lawyer for this work."

Ashwini informs, "I know a lawyer in Mumbai and handles similar cases with no failure record. I will send you his address and talk with him now. It is 2 pm and if he is free, then you can get the orders with effect from today."

Kavya smiles and remarks, "It will be awesome."

Ashwini shares the details and assures to talk with the lawyer for quick work. Kavya disconnects the call after thanking her and informs Ruhi about their conversation.

They take the permission to leave for the lawyer's office from Vikas and get on the work to acquire the restraining orders.

6 am, Los Angeles

Living Room, Suite Room

Armaan and Rihan were working, the entire night on the project. They were gearing up for the final meeting with the clients in the afternoon. They didn't want to leave room for errors and disappoint the clients.

Armaan drops the file, he was holding, on the table and stretches his arms to ease his tired muscles.

Armaan asks Rihan, whose eyes are glued to the file, he is holding, "Is there anything else left for me to take care of?"

Rihan answers, "If you are asking about the project, then no, everything is perfect. After the meeting, we can leave for India."

Armaan responds, "Ok" and grabs some other file to study.

Rihan turns the page and continues, "And if you are asking about your married life-"

Armaan stares at Rihan suspiciously as he utters those words and Rihan meets his gaze, before informing with a grin, "Then yes, you have to work tonnes to make it perfect."

Armaan rolls his eyes and demands, "You won't give up until I fix it, would you?"

Rihan asks with a smirk, "Thought about it?"

Armaan nods and informs, "Accompany me at my place after landing in India, we have some business to take care of. It won't take much time, then-"

Rihan encourages him, "Then?"

Armaan pinches the bridge of his nose and states, "Then the rest of the day, I will stay at home to spend time with Kavya and talk to her."

Rihan claps his hands with a smile and comments, "Good decision."

Then making a serious face, Rihan orders, "And dare you get angry on any damn thing she says. She has suffered, so she has the right to be furious and do as she wishes."

Armaan states at Rihan, who demands strictly, "Am I clear?"

Armaan sighs and murmurs, "Fine."

Rihan grins with enthusiasm and comments, "Good boy."

Armaan glares at Rihan, who laughs and Armaan grabs a cushion to throw in Rihan's direction. Bur he dodges it and laughs louder.

Next Day, 10 am, India

Land for School

Kavya and Ruhi reach at the location for monitoring the building construction work. But they find the workers standing idle near the stock of raw materials.

Ruhi asks with a scowl, "Why are the workers sun bathing?"

Kavya informs after analysing the situation, "It's something else. See."

Kavya points at the two men, standing near the constructed frame of the school building. It seems as if they were guarding the place.

Ruhi and Kavya start making their way towards the workers. They enquire about the situation and learn, those men didn't allow them to work and were threatening to kill, if disobeyed.

Ruhi turns around to glance at the men and raises her eyebrows after analysing their figures. Their overly weighted structure resembled the body of wrestlers.

Ruhi reacts, "What the hell! They are using manpower to stop the work and acquire the land. It's against the law."

Kavya turns and informs, "Ashwy had warned."

Ruhi retorts, "And you are telling me now?"

Kavya teases with a playful smirk, "Are you scared, Ms. Boxer?"

Ruhi glares at her and responds, "Never, I can handle them alone."

Kavya instructs, "Ok, my Boxing Queen, go handle them ALONE."

Ruhi stares at Kavya in shock, who pulls her hand and places the restraining order over it. Kavya winks at Ruhi and stands with the workers.

Ruhi turns towards the men and curses under her breath. She takes small steps and finds the men, staring at her from top to bottom.

Ruhi reaches in front of those men and demands, "Can I know why you are both standing here and why the work is stopped?"

One of the men stares at Ruhi with lust in the eyes, making her shudder in disgust.

He takes a step forward and comments on her body, ignoring the question, "Isn't she hot, Raghu?"

Raghu concurs, "Yes, I hope, she is good in the bed, Shera."

Anger rises in Ruhi's veins and she takes a step forward to threaten, "Get out of here, before I call the cops."

Ruhi shows him the restraining orders and threatens, "The cops will arrest you and keep in the prison for seven long years."

The goons look at each other then start laughing and Shera holds her right hand, which has the paper.

Ruhi struggles to set her hand free, but Shera tightens his grip and pulls her forward. But before Ruhi could shift closer, another hand holds her left elbow and draws her back.

Ruhi didn't struggle this time as she felt the grip familiar and turns to find Kavya, glaring at Shera.

Kavya orders, "Leave her hand."

Shera challenges, "If I don't leave, then?"

Kavya threatens, "You won't be able to stand on your feet."

Shera leaves Ruhi's hand and pretends to get scared, while pleading dramatically, "Oh please don't hit me, please for God's sake don't hit me."

Kavya and Ruhi glare at him, while Raghu starts laughing, making Shera join him. Kavya watches as Raghu starts walking towards them.

Raghu wraps his arms around Shera and states, "We have two hot girls for ourselves. It will be fun."

Kavya glares at him and orders, "I am warning you for the last time, get the hell out of this property, or the consequences will be worse."

Shera moves closes and speaks shamelessly, "Threatening doesn't suit you. Beautiful women like you, are perfect to be used on the bed."

Hearing the word use USED, triggers the hidden memory of Armaan in Kavya's mind. She recollects his confession, which makes her realise each time, how he USED her for his selfish benefits, then abandoned her.

This increases anger in Kavya and she pulls Ruhi behind to step forward to face the goons. She raises her fist and punches hard on Shera's jaw, making him lean back due to the sudden impact of the attack.

Kavya yells, "I am not a thing for USE and THROW."

Without waiting for another second, she proceeds to punch Raghu, who had raised his hand to attack her. She didn't give him time to recover and raises her leg to kick his stomach.

Meanwhile, Shera recovers from the punch and curses under his breath, touching his jaw. He moves his hand to attack Kavya, but Ruhi grabs his hand and kicks his feet to push away from Kavya. She takes hold of his shirt collar and starts punching his stomach.

On the other hand, Kavya pulls Raghu towards the brick wall, then pushes him with force. It causes the wall to break and he falls over the bricks.

This makes him angry and he fishes out a knife from his back pocket. He raises on his feet and moves towards Kavya, who gets alert and plans a strategy to get rid of the knife.

Even Ruhi gets a glance of the knife, but she is already engaged in punching Shera, who is struggling to fight back.

Raghu swipes his knife from left to right in an attempt to cut Kavya's throat, but she escapes by taking a step backward. She attempts to snatch the knife, but Raghu didn't spare her an opportunity.

The workers face each other in shame as the young women were fighting for them, while they were standing and watching the show. They look around and grab bamboo sticks, then run towards the girls to help.

Three workers reach near Shera and start attacking him with bamboo. He falls on the ground and the workers continue to hit him.

Ruhi murmurs, "Finally."

Meanwhile, other three workers reach near Raghu and one of them attacks his hand, which results in getting rid of the knife. Kavya takes this opportunity and steps closer to hold Raghu by his shirt's collar. She punches hard on his nose, making him yelp in pain.

Kavya kicks his stomach with her left leg and turns around, while bending and lifts her leg high to kick his face with force.

Raghu falls back due to the impact of constant attack and Kavya rushes to kick his stomach. Blood seeps out of his mouth, but Kavya keeps kicking him.

Ruhi watches everything and observes Kavya is losing control over her anger. She even understands the reason of her anger is not the goons, but someone else.

Ruhi reaches near Kavya and orders, "Kavya, stop, you will kill him."

She pulls Kavya back, but she pushes Ruhi aside and goes back to kick Raghu. Her pain and anger towards Armaan were easily readable through her eyes, which didn't let her analyse, what she is doing.

Kavya yells at Raghu while kicking, "You will USE me? What do you men think of yourselves? Am I a lifeless property?"

She proceeds to kick his stomach and Ruhi again tries to pull her back. This time she succeeds and yells at the workers to take the goons away.

Ruhi pulls a struggling Kavya towards the other side of the land and stops, when they reach far enough from everyone. She leaves Kavya's hand to cup her face and makes their gaze meet forcefully.

Ruhi yells, "Kavya stop, you can't remove your anger on him."

Kavya stares at Ruhi, while breathing heavily and clenches her fist tight to control her anger.

Ruhi pulls Kavya in her arms and consoles, while stoking her hair, "Calm down Kavy, no one will use you. I am here, with you, no one will hurt you now. I promise."

Kavya closes her eyes and responds to the hug. Ruhi keeps stroking her hair and promises her to protect from anything or anyone who tries to hurt her.

Tears well up in Kavya's eyes, realising her extreme reaction and she breaks the hug to apologise, "I am sorry, I don't know why-"

Ruhi interrupts and cups her face, "Sshhh! It's alright, they rightfully deserved it. Relax."

Ruhi makes Kavya sit on the bench and moves to grab Kavya's bag placed near the raw material's table. She removes water bottle and proceeds back to offer Kavya some.

Kavya drinks the water and takes a deep breath to steady herself. While Ruhi strokes her hair and sticks with her till she feels better.

Once Kavya feels better, they ask the workers to do their job with no hesitation. They provide them a copy of restraining orders and their numbers, in case anyone tries to stop them.

Then they left for Ruhi's Apartment as they didn't have NGO duties on the weekend. They decided to practice more to improve their skill, so their training is flawless.

8 pm, India

Kavya's Room, Armaan's Mansion

Kavya walks out of the washroom, wearing a knee length black bathrobe and after taking a hot shower. She wipes her hair gently with a black towel and moves towards the dressing mirror, while dropping the towel inside the basket, placed near the dressing table.

Then grabs her hair serum bottle and turns the screw cap to open. She positions the bottle above her other hand to pour the liquid on her palm. But something makes her stop her actions.

Kavya gazes her palm, which has lost the colour of her henna and recollects the time, when Armaan's name was written, with the design.

A lone tear escapes her eye as she remembers her marriage, then Armaan's confession.

Kavya smiles weakly and speaks, staring at her hand, "Now you are completely free from me, Armaan. Even your name has left my hand. You are nothing to me now. Just nothing."

A knock grabs her attention and she wipes her tear hurriedly. She allows the person to enter as she knew its Mary, then resumes to coat her damp hair with the serum to keep herself distracted.

Mary enters the room with a mug of coffee and an envelope in hand. She places the mug on the bedside table and moves towards Kavya, who is now finger combing her hair.

Mary forwards the letter and informs, "Your bank account has been opened and here is the kit."

Kavya turns with a smile and grabs the envelope from her grip while informing, "Finally it's here, now I can deposit the excess money, I have earned from DID."

Mary voices her doubt, "But why did you open a new account? You could have used your existing one, it has been transferred to Mumbai branch and your last name with status has also been changed."

Kavya sighs and informs, "I can't take a risk with that account, Mary. It was opened by Papa and if he learned, I am depositing money, then he will surely raise questions. Already explaining to him, why I have re-joined the NGO, why it was important for Armaan to leave for LA and why Ruhi needed to shift in Mumbai were huge tasks."

Kavya shakes her head and speaks with determination, "Papa shouldn't know about DID, not unless Myra gets married."

Mary nods in understanding and asks her to come soon for dinner. Kavya nods and promises to come within 10 minutes. Mary leaves the room and Kavya proceeds to change in comfortable clothes, before sitting on the bed with her coffee.

She takes a sip, while texting Myra to give the day's update as per routine and receives a message from Ruhi - A girl's day out tomorrow? Will roam Mumbai.

Kavya smiles, aware of Ruhi's intentions, for planning a day out. She remembers the incident of the morning and recalls how Ruhi consoled and took care of her.

Kavya sends a reply - Sure, but my treat.

She takes another sip and receives a reply - Obviously your treat Princess. So tomorrow 9 am at place, don't be late ;)

Kavya replies with an Ok and continues to drink her coffee and chat with Myra.

Next Morning

Living Room, Armaan's Mansion

Kavya enters the living room, wearing a long floral maxi dress. Her hairs are left open and floral earrings were tucked in her ears. She even held a rose shaped purse in her hand.

She greets Mary, when she finds her arranging the cushions of the couch. Mary greets her back with a smile.

Then Kavya informs, "Mary, I will come home late."

Mary enquires, "I thought, you don't have NGO and DID on Sunday?"

Kavya shakes her head, while answering, "Ruhi wants to roam Mumbai. So, she has planned a girl's day out."

Mary smiles and comments, "It's lovely. You should go and explore the city. Mumbai is beautiful."

Kavya smiles at her words and informs she will be late. She turns to leave after bidding bye to Mary.

She walks towards the main door, but her attention is grabbed by Ruhi's message. She starts typing a reply for her message, while glancing at her phone.

However, Mary's eyes widen in shock, when she finds Armaan and Rihan, making their way inside the living room.

Mary murmurs, "Oh dear. Armaan is back and he didn't even inform."

At one end, Kavya's eyes are glued to her phone. Whereas, Armaan and Rihan are busy talking among themselves.

They keep walking closer, unaware of each other's presence and suddenly Armaan collides with Kavya.

Due to the force, the phone slips from Kavya's hand and a low gasp escapes her mouth.

She murmurs, while panicking, "Shit, my phone" and immediately bends to pick her phone.

Whereas Armaan gets angry and lowers his heated gaze to yell at the person with whom he has collided. But when his eyes land on Kavya, his gaze softens.

Kavya straightens up and lift her gaze to apologize with whom she has collided. But finds Armaan in front of her eyes, staring at her.

Her heart skips a beat, seeing the man, she loved with her whole heart after so many days. The man, who left her alone to cry on that dreadful night, after confessing the painful truth.

Anger, hurt and pain makes an appearance in her eyes, though the anger towards Armaan overpowers her other emotions and she glares at him.

Kavya snaps at him, in the similar harsh tone, he used when he snapped at her, during their first meeting, "Watch out where you are walking Armaan."

Mary and Rihan stare at Kavya in shock at her response, whereas Armaan keeps staring into her furious eyes with confusion.

Kavya gives a final glare to Armaan and turns to make her way towards the exit without waiting for his response. She has barely taken two steps ahead, when Armaan turns around and holds her wrist to stop her from walking further.

Kavya closes her eyes at the touch and didn't turn around to face him, while Armaan doesn't leave her wrist and stares at her back.
