Take It, Take It

take it, take it

The door behind the two shut, the sound echoing into the wide room of the penthouse.

Juseon looked around in awe, looking at Seowon with eyebrows raised.

"You're rich?"

After a few seconds of no reaction, Seowon just breathed out a laugh, knowing Juseon didn't mean it with any bad intentions and just pure surprise.

"Yes, but that's not what matters right now."

"Right."

After that kiss at the bookstore, the security had been trying to hold Seowon back, dragging him away.

Juseon, eyes not leaving Seowon's, had noticed the desperate look in his eyes as he resisted the arms grabbing him. Feeling a pang in his chest, knowing if he didn't do something, then he wouldn't see him again.

"Wait, guys. Stop that."

He'd said, not taking his eyes off of Seowon.

They had calmed, loosening their grip on Seowon, their gazes not breaking contact even once, just lost in each other's eyes for what seemed like forever. Juseon felt like he'd known this person from his heart, like they'd spent an eternity together.

Their stare had only been broken when the lady who had asked him to lunch earlier spoke up.

"Who is he?"

"He's..."

Juseon had started, but with no idea how to end the sentence, still not breaking eye contact, his heart giving him a strange feeling of euphoria.

"...he's someone I know, it's okay. I'll take my leave, now. Give me a call to continue our conversation for the next date."

That said, he'd walked up to Seowon, who had been finally let go by the guards, and had gently held his hand -- the touch feeling extraordinary, like they'd been waiting to find each other for centuries -- before leading him out, and with awkward, silent conversations on their way, they'd decided to end up at Seowon's apartment. And, here they were.

Without any further words, the two got seated on the couch, a significant distance between them, but it was almost uncomfortable — it felt like the other held all the secrets of the universe, hiding all the beauties of beyond this world, drawing each other closer to each other.

Not really knowing how to start with words, the two just stared, eyes boring into eyes.

The gaze continued, letting them get acquainted with the heart-wrenching emotion bursting in their hearts when meeting the other's eyes.

"So..."

Seowon started, trailing off awkwardly.

"Hm?"

"You're Chimmy?"

Cursing internally at the question with an obvious answer, Seowon wanted to crawl up the vent and die.

Juseon laughed brightly, instantly calming Seowon down, having him let out a small smile.

"Yes, but please call me Juseon. Chimmy... is a weird name for me."

"Oh? But..."

But, it's far more familiar than Juseon for me-? Seowon thought, a little disappointed. Maybe he was wrong about everything?

"Well, it's not weird in a bad way. But, it's strange because I feel such a close connection with the name, but I have no idea why. I've been called Juseon all my life."

Seowon let out a small sigh of relief before nodding.

"I see..."

Wanting to bang his head against the wall for the awkward conversation, Seowon again wished the ground would swallow him whole.

"And, you...? What's... what's your name?"

The shy way Juseon asked brought a strong flutter to Seowon's heart.

"I'm... Seowon. Kim Seowon."

It felt strange introducing his name. It'd always felt strange to, but this time, it was like his body was trying to reject it.

"Ah, Seowon-ssi—"

"Please, just call me Seowon. I mean... we kissed..."

A small tint of pink traveled up both their cheeks as he said that.

"So, I think it's better if we skip formalities."

Juseon stiffly nodded, cheeks reddening even more, and Seowon was shocked at how easily he was willing to coo at the sight. Shaking the thought off, he tried to include more conversation.

"So... do you... do you know who Park Jimin and Min Yoongi are?"

The moment he said those names, both of them felt a strong wave of a shiver run down their bodies.

With a smaller voice, Juseon asked, eyes a little wide.

"...Did you feel that? Or, was that just me?"

Unable to form words to properly respond, Seowon didn't speak, unsure of what to say. He was astonished at the words Juseon just said - he felt it, too?

"Ah, never mind. I'm probably just imagining things—"

Panicked, Seowon interrupted him with a denial.

"No! No, no! I felt it."

He breathed out.

Juseon's eyes met his, glinting with confusion and helplessness.

"I swear I felt it, too. You aren't crazy — oh my god, you aren't crazy. I'm the one that's crazy, I've been having all these weird-ass dreams all my life and—"

"Wait— what?"

This time, Juseon was more shocked. All words jumbled in his head, unable to utter coherent sentences.

"What...?"

Seowon muttered, unsure of the reason behind Juseon's outburst. Could he have seen dreams, too? But, no — that was impossible

"I... I see the dreams, too. All my life, ever since I can remember."

The words left both of them quiet, eyes wide and questioning.

After a few moments of silence, Juseon finally decided to ask.

"What... are the dreams about?"

This was it.

Both of them tapped their feet in nervousness, unsure of what the outcome of telling the other would be.

"Well... it's always... it always seems like they're all connected, like seeing episodes of a show, but extra confusing."

When Seowon paused speaking, Juseon leaned in, interested. It sounded very close to what he'd dreamt, and that already had him biting his lip.

"And... it's always got to do with these people that seem so familiar. I think from all the times, around six people have appeared? And, they're the most common ones — like the main characters of a movie, or something."

Juseon nodded, silently asking Seowon to keep going, hands now shaking in nervousness of what he was about to say next.

"But, there's always one who seems to be — my lover? Or something like that. Like... like in your book. But, I don't see the demon, I see the angel — white feathers, halo. But— it's hard to explain because—"

A sharp gasp left Juseon before he interrupted, eyes wide.

"Their faces are so unclear? And their names — you can just hear it, but you can't? Is that it?"

His question was asked out of breath, full of hurry and urgency.

Seowon's heart thudded, breath hitching at the accuracy before he slowly nodded, breathing out his next words.

"Yeah... exactly that. I'm... guessing you see the same things? But, the demon instead...?"

Silence ensued, both of them just lost in their own thoughts, but also in each other's eyes, searching for answers in unspoken words.

A few moments without words passed, but they did shift closer and closer, not able to deny the obvious attraction between each other.

Nose millimeters away, eyes never breaking the gaze, the two scooted even closer, now their noses touching.

Juseon whispered.

"Nothing makes sense; what is going on?"

Seowon didn't say anything for a few seconds, just licked his lips, whispering back.

"I have no idea."

His eyes glimpsed down at Juseon's lips before shooting back up.

"But, I really want to kiss you again, right now."

Chest constricting, Juseon's breath hitched, hand going up to gently set on Seowon's cheek.

"Why don't you?"

Without warning or giving Seowon time to react, Juseon pushed their lips together, both letting out a soft groan of satisfaction.

Seowon's hand slowly made it's way on the base of the back of Juseon's neck, softly resting there. But, his other hand, without realizing, slithered round Juseon's waist, pulling the man closer, relishing the proximity.

Again, both of them released soft moans, kisses turning more ardent as time ticked by. It felt like they'd been doing this forever — so familiar and comfortable, yet also arousing and addictive.

Their kisses turned more heated the more they pulled back for air, eyes shut in the heat of pleasure, arms around and pulling each other close.

Neither wanted to pull back for good, but they did, to catch up with all the breaths they lost. Panting heavily, they stared at each other, engraving the beautiful image of the other, breathless and flushed, in their minds.

After they caught their breath, Juseon giggled.

"We haven't even been on a date, yet."

The words made Seowon laugh, as well. And, once more, not getting enough, he leaned forward and captured Juseon's lips, kissing him strongly.

No complaints, Juseon kissed back. And, that's all they did for the next hour; kissed and kissed and kissed, drowning in each other's presence and kisses.

It was the first time they'd met, but neither could deny it felt like greeting a lover after years of not seeing each other.
