'Cuz From The Very Beginning My Heart Runs To You

애초부터 내 심장은 널 향해 뛰니까

"Hyung..."

Jimin whispered cheekily, breathing into Yoongi's ear, interrupting the train of thought Yoongi had as he was searching for books.

Shivering, Yoongi eyed Jimin to the side, putting the book he was holding back on the shelf. With a smirk, he replied.

"Hmm?"

With a coy smile, Jimin gently set his hand on Yoongi's cheek, guiding his lips to his own.

Kissing felt relaxing, like falling into a bath of calmness and comfort, taking a break from all these confusing events around.

Turning around to face Jimin, Yoongi shut his eyes, letting his back hit the bookshelf, hands trailing up to Jimin's shoulders.

They kissed slowly; they had all the time in the world -- didn't want to rush anything at the moment, just hold each other in the moment of eternal time.

When they pulled back, they were a bit breathless, lips pink and eyes sparkling, gaze one each other not breaking.

"Yoongi hyung."

The whisper sent Yoongi's body into shudders of warm tingles, cheeks flaming pink, now. He didn't realize how he'd gotten out of being used to that.

"Jiminie."

He said back, smiling warmly, making Jimin beam, leaning forward to attach their foreheads.

"Remember around a week ago before we died? When we said that we're soulmates?"

Nodding, Yoongi's smile turned brighter. Nuzzling into his neck, Jimin breathed in the lovely scent of his demon.

"Well, I still think so."

Hand going up to Jimin's hair, running his hands through it, Yoongi breathed out his words, in bliss.

"Well, I still agree with you."

"Hey, is anyone in the library?"

Taehyung asked, voice soft. Eyes curious and lips jutted out, he looked around, hoping to find Hoseok, but knowing he probably wasn't in there.

But, instead, he found a sight he hadn't seen in what felt like a million years. Yoongi and Jimin kissing.

With a gasp, he put his hands over his lips. But, then grinned mischievously.

Sneaking up close to them, Taehyung got his hands cupped around his lips ready, wanting to scare the two.

Just when he was about to scream, he felt a hand smack him on the shoulder, an annoyed grumble following.

"Don't yell in the library, you idiot."

This made Taehyung giggle and step away, face lit up in happiness.

Jimin laughed along, stepping away from Yoongi a little.

"Were you looking for someone?"

Jimin's question made Taehyung snap out of his laughter and nod.

"Yeah, Hoseok hyung. I haven't seen him the whole day. I thought he'd be here because his shift should be here -- but you two took over and Hoseok hyung said he'd be somewhere else and--"

"Taehyung."

Yoongi interrupted, sighing.

"Hm?"

"Just get to the point."

Slowly, Taehyung's face morphed into a panicked one.

"Hoseok hyung is missing!"

"Seok-ah, stay there. Tell me if anyone is coming in."

A voice ordered Hoseok. And, the latter followed them, warily looking around in hopes of not finding anyone.

"Hey... Eunji... isn't it really easy to notice us? My wings..."

Eunji just shrugged it off.

"It's okay. Just bend them down a bit. It won't take long."

Hoseok, despite being a little unsure, nodded and went back to looking around. It was super hot, but as an angel, his tolerance had increased so he just felt normally hot. If a soul entered... Hoseok winced at the thought. It would be too hot to handle in here, he didn't know how they survived.

"Hey, are we done? Shouldn't we head back, now?"

He asked, sounding a little scared. Still looking around, antsy, Hoseok fumbled with his fingers.

"Yeah... just a second."

Deciding he should think things through while waiting, Hoseok took a deep breath, calming himself down.

Eunji. He'd been a kind demon, helping him out at his shifts, and talking to him when he had no one to talk to. After a few months or so, they'd gotten closer, knowing more and more about each other.

Along those moments, he'd gotten to know more about the world than he'd learned during his angel training. Also, what really happened to the history of his family. Eunji said he liked researching, so he'd instantly known when hearing about Hoseok's ability and family heritage.

Scowling at what he'd said, Hoseok felt anger build inside him -- how could they? His own friends? Could he even call them his friends?

He did though, from Eunji's orders. He's said it would be too suspicious to shut them out too quick, so it would be better to ease them out of it.

And, now even Yoongi and Jimin are here, he thought disdainfully, sighing.

But, then a small part of him asked: what had they really done, though? What if it's Eunji who's--

"Okay, let's go."

Patting on his back, Eunji led Hoseok back to where they came in from, going unnoticed by the others.

"Did you finish what you were doing?"

With a charming grin, Eunji nodded. Happily, he wrapped his arm around Hoseok's shoulder as they walked towards the gate -- a hidden gate from Hell to Afterlife.

"Finished without a hitch. We'll be free, soon, Hoseok-ah. Your role is coming in soon."

Eyes watched as an unknown gate opened, spitting out an angel and a demon.

Recognizing them both, the eyes widened -- a little in fear, but mostly in realization.

Taking a deep breath as he watched the two sneakily headed back to the Authority Palace, the unknown who was watching frowned.

Calculating thoughts ran through his head, brows furrowing in concentration. He sighed, he was on vacation, visiting Afterlife to watch some movies or something. But, he shrugged the thought of complaint off.

Justice was more important.
