A/H Hey guys! This chapter is just going to be a flashback of the incident in which Cal is overprotective of Astrid. It doesn't really effect the main storyline but I did leave you on a cliffhanger.

Astrid's POV

*Flashback*

Me, mom, dad, and Cal where on our way back from Chicago. Personally I had a blast.

"Dad" Cal asked "can we stop in Indianapolis?"

Sparks! We had been gone for about two months and Cal can't live without his best friend. Sorry about my small rant.

"Son we need to-"

"Look out!" mom interrupted

Something hit the side of the car causing it to jolt. Then everything went black.

*Time Skip*

I woke up to a beeping noise near me. I looked around and noticed that a lot of machinery was hooked up to me. The only thing I recognized was the heart rate monitor. I then saw Cal was passed out on a chair near the hospital bed.

"Cal" I said, my voice cracking

Cal woke up and saw that I was awake.

"Astrid, y-you're awake" Cal said worried.

"Yah why wouldn't I be?" I asked, confused

"You've been unconscious for about a month"

What?!?

I remembered the crash.

"W-Where's m-mom and d-dad?" I stuttered afraid of the answer

Cal hesitated, "Dad is fine, but mom. She's gone"

No she couldn't be dead. She couldn't. I looked up to her. I started to cry. Dad came into the room and calmed me down. The doctor informed my father that I would be released from the hospital within the next few days.

*Flashback Over*

A/N Hey guys! So that is the flashback of five years before the main storyline. I know it got dark fast but that's how I make my stories interesting. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Also I have had a mini writer's block so yah. School doesn't help either.
