── cabin seven
𝕮abin Seven wasn't as Aurora had expected. She knew her dad, knew what he was like and how he acted with things so was certain that his cabin was going to look like someone had thrown up pure gold in it. But it wasn't like that.
It smelled of sage and clean linen, comforting and soft if that made any sense
There were bunks lining the walls, and a separate door at the back to the infirmary for the injured and for the healers in the cabin to help them quickly and easily. A bookshelf lined the back wall full of notes from previous children of Apollo, sketches and healing incantations, music chords and even stickers on who the best current singers were.
"Sorry about that." Lee yanked down the one which had her name on it, smiling wryly. Aurora chuckled at the boy's nervous grin. He was really like dad.
"Hi. You must be Aurora." Aurora turned, finding an older eighteen year old girl walking in, silky dark hair piled onto her head and a pencil through it. "I'm Aruna. I'm the cabin councillor for the Apollo cabin. Have you found a bed?"
"I put it down by one of the free ones."
"Good, good. I hope Luke showed you around camp well enough. I've heard your quite the skilled archer." Aruna continued, putting a kit down on one of the beds near to the centre of the cabin. It was freshly made, and there were pictures pinned on the wall around it, along with dried flowers and a little plant growing on the window sill to the right of it.
"Hopefully?" Aurora grew silent as Aruna laughed.
"Not like dad in the humble thing I take it." Aruna chuckled. "No issue. We know you've got the music genes, so we'll test you for the healing and then get you settled in a role."
"A role?"
"There's quite a lot of us, if you hadn't noticed. We're the second largest cabin at camp, after Hermes that is, cause dad likes to sleep around a fair bit." Aurora giggled at Aruna's words as the smaller teenager also laughed. "Because we're such a large cabin, we split into three sectors. So healing, which I'm a part of, archery and combat and then we have a musical section that will do all the singalongs, help with the Hephaestus cabin for July fireworks, end of year production. That sort of thing. Means that everyone is important in their sector and in their role but you can help with other things too. You're not confined to one but you just have more of a role in your sector. Make sense?"
"Kind of?" Aurora tried to take it all in as Aruna shook her head.
"No matter, you'll get the hang of it more later."
"Well, wouldn't it just be easier to put me in music. It's kind of what I'm known for?"
"Yeah but maybe you're in music because singing and magical healing isn't an acceptable hospital practice." Aruna pointed out. "We don't want to judge, so we'll give you a rundown in healing and then we'll place you."
"Alright." Aurora nodded, biting her lips as she looked around for a moment, taking note of how many siblings she now had and she'd have to remember their names and there was going to be-
"Hey." Aruna squeezed her shoulder as Aurora turned. "Don't freak. It's a little weird, but you're family. You've got us and we Apollo kids, we take care of our own."
Aurora's shoulders slumped a little. Being in Eleven with Luke and the others had been nice, but to know that she had a place and that she had her tribe so to speak, that was a different level of comfort. She had a place now.
She would have friends.
"Why don't we start off with canoeing and then we'll test healing tomorrow? Give you chance to settle in?"
"Okay." Aurora nodded as Aruna called the cabin in, making everyone form lines as they headed off for the canoeing lake. Aurora found herself between two of her siblings, two girls, and despite how scared Aurora was for seeing what was to come, they were quick to drag her into a conversation about how cold the lake was and how she was going to have a lot of fun and what games were fun to play.
They treated her like normal.

Luke hadn't seen Aurora since he dropped her off with Lee Fletcher to pass over to the cabin councillor for Apollo cabin. Not that he was keeping an eye out for her, obviously not. He just was worried for her.
She'd told him that she had never made friends before and she was worried about fitting in and having people treat her like normal. That was all she wanted and he was a little worried that Cabin Seven would see the famous singer and immediately treat her like anything but normal.
"Come on, our turn." Chris nudged his shoulder and Luke clambered up, following his brothers to chuck the best bit of his food into the fire. When he sat back down, he was greeted by the sight of the Apollo cabin coming back from there afternoon canoeing lesson, all soaked head to toe in water and laughing hysterically.
Luke just about managed to take one bite of his food before he caught sight of a shivering Aurora at the back, hanging back from the crowd and he grew worried. Jumping up from the bench, he dodged through his siblings and the unclaimed demigods to hurry over to her, worrying greatly.
"Aurora."
"Oh, hey Luke." She wrung her dark hair out, before throwing it back over her shoulder. "What's the matter?"
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, just soaked." Aurora shot him a narrowed eye look. "What's going on with you?"
"Nothing, you just-I was-" Luke didn't know how to finish that sentence. Aurora was watching him with a confused look, her eyebrows cocked. "How you finding the others in Seven?"
How he formed a question, even he was unsure.
"Yeah, they're great. All super nice and really welcoming."
"Treating you normally, and all?"
"Yes. Why are you asking?" Aurora was growing suspicious of Luke's questioning.
"Go away, Castellan." Luke froze, coming face to face with Aruna Singh, who was flicking her sunglasses up. "Stop trying to flirt with my sister."
"I wasn't." Luke protested, growing mortified once more as red covered his cheeks and ears. "I was just checking in, you know, doing-"
"Not your job though." Aruna beamed and winked. She patted his head and wrapped her arm around Aurora's shoulders, who was grinning widely. "Don't worry. My little sister's in great hands. She's got us."
Luke stopped, shoulders slumping as he watched Aurora nod her head and laugh at something Aruna said. There was a call for them to hurry up and Luke watched as both girls took off to join their siblings, being dragged into conversation about something Luke couldn't quite place. But she looked happy.
Much happier than she had been when with him and Eleven.
Turning, Luke sighed as he trudged back to his seat, missing the glance that Aurora had shot at him.
He sat back down with Mack and Chris who were both watching him with knowing eyes.
"Shut up, I don't want to hear it."
"Oh Aurora, come back and love me please." Chris cried, clutching onto Mack as Mack shook his head. "I miss you!"
"No." Luke groaned.
"Aurora, insult me more, I love it, despite that being super weird." Both of them shot him a look as Luke groaned into his hands.
"I hate you. I hate you both." Luke growled. "Next time we have canoeing, I'm going to drown you."
They both paled as Luke turned back to his food.
"No joke." Luke finished his sentence and glared once more.

Hiya,
So, Aurora moved into Cabin Seven and met Aruna, her councillor, and her siblings. They're so much fun and I love that Aurora's now found her place and where she feels normal and I just love her. Also, Luke is so jealous and pouty now that he can't see her and he's also gonna kill Chris and Mack.
Let me know what you think,
Love Li xx
