Jungkook

Jungkook didnt actually like her in the beginning. He lied.

Jungkook was all smiling while joyfully tugging his bag strap on his right side. Thoughts of yesterday made his today brighter than usual.

He stopped by his locker as he opened it and grabbed some lectures book that he might need for next classes. He slammed the locker close.

He turned around and was caught of guard when both Jimin and Taehyung appeared right behind him, smirks plastered on their faces.

"W-What?", Jungkook stuttered as he scanned each of his friends weird expressions.

Jimin lightly nudged Taehyung that was standing beside him as he said, "Tae, are you thinking what am I thinking?"

Taehyung smirked while eyes still pinning on Jungkook confused face and replied, "Yes, I am thinking what youre thinking, Jimin."

Jungkook who still confused with the pair behaviours, looked at them and asked, "Are you guys drunk?"

Jimin rolled his eyes and sarcastically replied, "Of course not."

"Then what are you guys mumbling about? I don't understand.", Jungkook said as he walked pass the boys.

Both Jimin and Taehyung immediately followed him as Jimin threw his arm around Jungkook's shoulders and asked with a smirk, "You seems brighter today, Jungkook. Did something good happen between you and Haeryung yesterday, huh?"

Taehyung at the other side already gave the younger a tease smile.

Jungkook's face slightly turned into red color when he heard the older words. He pushed the older's arm away as he mumbled, "W-What are you guys talking about? Theres nothing happened yesterday."

Jimin huffed as he put his hands into his jean pockets, "Tch. Seems like our friend here already forgot about us, Tae."

Tae played along with Jimin as he cutely nodded in reply.

Now, its Jungkook's turn to rolled his eyes at the boys.

"Geez, guys. Really, nothing happen yesterday.", Jungkook said and immediately walked away from the two. Am I really that easy to read..?

Jungkook turned his head when he noticed Haeryung's class at his left side. He peeked inside the class through the class window, searching for his favourite person. His lips shaped into a small pout when Haeryung wasn't there in her class.

She didn't come to class yet..

Jungkook sighed then walked away with disappointment as his wish to see Haeryung first in the morning failed.

Jimin and Taehyung who were left behind just stood in amusement.

"Our kookie is really in love, Tae.", Jimin uttered while eyes staring at the younger.

Taehyung innocently nodded and said, "He is growing up, our kookie."

Jimin chuckled at Taehyung's words. He then patted Taehyung's shoulder while said, "Lets go."

Taehyung nodded and followed Jimin, both walking towards their class.

Finally, it was break time.

But, there, sat Jungkook staring blankly at his phone. Food in front of him wasn't touch even a bit.

He sighed and typed another message to Haeryung.

Jungkook: Are you sick? I didn't see you tod|

He quickly deleted the text again then sighed again. He looked up for a few seconds before looked down back at his phone and typed another message.

Jungkook: Noona, are you okay? Why didn't you come to school today?

He stared at the text for a quiet good time before sent it. He held his phone tightly as he nervously waited for the girl's reply.

He didn't know why would he feel nervous but he just did at the moment.

A familiar tone rang as Jungkook immediately unlocked his phone and read the new message.

Haeryung: I have a fever.

Jungkook bit his lip when he saw the girl's reply.

Jungkook put his phone aside and sighed again. He picked up his fork as he lazily played with his food, felt his energy drained away the moment he knew he couldn't see Haeryung at all.

"Hey, you okay Jungkook?", Taehyung asked as the younger was in the opposite condition from this morning.

Jimin stared at Jungkook's blank face before he asked, "What did Haeryung said?"

Jungkook sighed at the question as he put his fork down and leaned back on his chair. "She's sick so she isn't in school today.", Jungkook replied while blankly stared at his food tray.

Both Jimin and Taehyung nodded, finally understood why with the younger sudden mood changed.

"Then, why don't you visit her later?", Taehyung suggested as he took a big bite of his bread. He munched the bread in his mouth deliciously as his both inner cheeks shaped into a big round, effortlessly looked like a chubby hamster.

Jungkook's head shot up instantly when he heard Taehyung's words.

Jimin saw the younger reaction as he quickly supported Taehyung's idea, "Yeah, Jungkook. You can go and visit her later after school."

The younger bit his bottom lip, wasn't sure if he should or could do that. He then leaned forward as he looked up at both of the boys and asked carefully, "Can I?"

Both Jimin and Taehyung laughed at his reaction. Jimin put his orange juice down and replied, "Of course you can! You're her boyfriend, right?"

Jungkook leaned back on his chair again while nodded shyly, "Em, well, yes.."

"Ha, then? I don't see why you can't tho.", Jimin convinced the younger and started eating his lunch back again.

Jungkook nodded obediently as he smiled at the thought of meeting with Haeryung later.

The red plump lips of Jungkook already changed it color to blue as he felt nervous at the moment and he has stayed almost five minutes in front of Haeryung's house.

He kept debating with his mind whether to ring the bell or just cancel the visit and go back home. Right hand clutched a plastic bag of fruits tightly, as a small gift for the visit.

"No, maybe I should go back home..", Jungkook mumbled to himself and was about to turn around but stopped when he heard someone called his name.

"Jungkook?"

Jungkook looked up and was surprised when he saw the person he wanted to see the most today.

"Noona!", He called as a wide smile appeared on his face.

Haeryung walked towards the younger and carefully opened the gate. She was so confused at the present of the boy in front of her house.

"What are you doing here?", Haeryung asked when she arrived right in front of the boy.

Jungkook awkwardly smiled as he pushed his hair off his forehead before said, "Well, um, you said you have a fever and I'm worried so.."

Haeryung nodded as she understood why with Jungkook's sudden visit.

Jungkook looked at Haeryung and unconsciously brought his hand on the girl's forehead as he felt her temperature, wanting to know if she still have the fever or not.

"You still have a fever.. Why are you outside the house?", Jungkook asked as he tried to measure her temperature with his.

Haeryung lightly pushed his hand off her forehead and looked away while replied, "I'm fine.."

Jungkook's smile fell at the girl's action but gave her a small smile again afterwards.

"I-I see..", Jungkook uttered lowly as he bit his bottom lip nervously.

Door creaked open behind the couple as both of them turned to look at it. Two familiar heads peeked between the door with one curious face and another one with mysterious smile.

Haeryung turned back towards Jungkook as she mentally sighed. Jungkook turned and looked down at her.

"Why?", He asked, curious with the girl's reaction.

"My brothers..", Haeryung replied as she looked up at Jungkook.

Jungkook mumbled a small 'ahh' before looked towards the pair again and politely bowed. Both Namjoon and Yoongi awkwardly nodded as they slowly came out from the useless hide.

"Um, come in.", Haeryung offered as she pushed the gate wider, inviting the boy inside her house.

Jungkook gave her a small smile and walked together towards the two big brothers who stared at the couple with their hawk eyes.

"Em, hello.", Jungkook greeted them politely.

Namjoon gave the boy a smile and greeted Jungkook back. While, Yoongi just nodded without a smile.

"Please , come in.", Namjoon politely invited as he secretly nudged Yoongi, signalling him to not stare at the guest weirdly.

Haeryung went in and invited Jungkook to take a seat on the couch which he did. Jungkook nervously looked around the house as he tried very hard to ignore the tense stares that he got from the brothers.

Haeryung then went into the kitchen to make some drinks for the younger.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? What is your relationship with-"

"Shut up.", Namjoon nudged Yoongi again but hard this time.

"What?!", Yoongi gave Namjoon a dead glare but the other just ignored him.

Jungkook just stared at them innocently. "Um, I'm Jungkook..", Jungkook replied gently.

Both Namjoon and Yoongi attentions were now on the younger boy. An awkward smile plastered on Jungkook's face as he nervously fiddled with his fingers.

"I'm Haeryung noona's friend. I heard she had a fever so I come to visit her..", Jungkook finally arranged his words carefully before said it towards the brothers.

"Noona?", Namjoon asked as he slowly turned his head towards Yoongi who already stared at him unbelievably.

Namjoon nodded at Jungkook's reply while Yoongi suspiciously looked at the younger boy, still wasn't sure about the younger's identity and relationship with his little sister.

"What are you guys talking about?", Haeryung finally came out from the kitchen with a tray of some glasses of drink.

"Nothing.", Yoongi said while snatched one of the drink from Haeryung as his eyes were still pinning on Jungkook's handsome face.

Jungkook abruptly looked up at Haeryung when she approached three of them. He smiled brightly while eyes never leave the girl.

Haeryung gave her brothers suspicious stare before asked, "Are you guys saying nonsense again?"

Namjoon gasped as he held his chest, pretending to be hurt with his little sister's words, "What are you saying, Haeryung-ah? We don't speak nonsense every 24 hours tho.."

Yoongi gave Haeryung a fake glare while slowly took a sip of his drink.

Haeryung chuckled and replied, "Well, at least you admitted that you do speak nonsense."

Namjoon faked a gasp again. Haeryung just rolled her eyes as a reply.

Haeryung finally gave attention to Jungkook as she turned her head towards him.

"Whats wrong, Jungkook? Why do you want to see me?", Haeryung asked while took a glass of juice and handed it towards the boy.

Jungkook grabbed the glass with a smile, "Thank you."

Haeryung nodded and looked at him as she watched the boy finish his drink first.

Jungkook took a sip and put it down on the table beside him before paid attention towards Haeryung again.

"How did you ended up have a fever, Noona? Yesterday, you looked fine..", Jungkook said while stared at Haeryung.

Haeryung faked a cough when she heard the boy. "Well um, I don't know..", Haeryung lied.

"Duh, its obviously her fault.", Yoongi mumbled, purposely loud.

Haeryung glared at the older but he just ignored it. Jungkook looked at Yoongi, confused.

Yoongi continued, "We don't even know why but yesterday she locked herself in the bathroom for almost 3 hour-"

"Oppa!", Haeryung grabbed a cushion and threw it towards Yoongi which Yoongi caught it safely before it land on his precious face.

"What? Its true tho.", Yoongi shrugged then continued watching his tv show. Haeryung could only sigh afterwards.

Haeryung turned to look at Jungkook back before asked again, "So, um why do you want to see me?"

"Well, I heard youre sick so I just wanted to pay a visit to see how you are doing. Well, mostly because I just miss y-", Jungkook started but he stopped in the middle of his sentences when he saw her brothers were still staring at both of them.

Haeryung who noticed this quickly looked at both of her brothers. "Guys..", She uttered, asking for a privacy at the moment.

Namjoon leaned back on the couch as he gave Haeryung an awkward smile.

Yoongi being the stubborn kid he is, immediately grabbed a tv remote control and switched on the television while hugged a cushion and said, "What? I want to watch my favourite tv show right now."

Haeryung sighed at both of her brothers' attitudes. She turned to look at Jungkook and gave him an awkward smile.

"Em, I think lets continue this talk in my room.", Haeryung said and stood up from her seat.

Jungkook gave her a small nod as he stood up and bowed towards her brothers afterward. Both Namjoon and Yoongi nodded lightly as responds.

Haeryung gently grabbed the edge of Jungkook's sleeve and pulled him away from the living room. She climbed up the stairs while Jungkook followed her slowly from behind. A smile was lingering on Jungkook's lips at Haeryung's small touch on his sleeve.

Haeryung let go of Jungkook's sleeve when they walked into her room safely. She closed the door and invited the boy to take a seat anywhere he comfortable. Jungkook casually sat at the edge of her bed which surprised the girl but she acted normal.

Haeryung walked pass the boy as she pulled out a chair and sat on it. She turned towards Jungkook and was caught off guard when Jungkook already stared at her.

"W-What?", She asked.

Jungkook smiled in return and spoke, "Why are you sitting there, noona? Come here beside me."

Haeryung's heart was beating wildly at Jungkook's words but she still remained calm. She just blankly looked at the younger boy, was hoping he just joking but unfortunately, he wasn't.

Jungkook smiled while patted the empty spot beside him, urged her to sit near with him. Haeryung secretly bit her bottom lip before slowly stood up and walked towards the boy.

As she approached Jungkook slowly, the boy gently grabbed Haeryung's arm and pulled her closer towards him. Haeryung was very flustered with Jungkook's action as her heart started beating wilder than before.

She sat beside Jungkook without turning her face towards the younger. Jungkook kept staring at her, secretly wanting the girl's attention.

"Hey.. Noona, are you okay..?", Jungkook asked as he gently held Haeryung's hand in his. Eyes were still on the girl's perfect side profile.

Haeryung looked away from Jungkook. Heart softened at the question. She didn't know, she didn't know whether to keep pretend or straightforward ask him.

Jungkook's smile fell when Haeryung ignored him. He then gently grabbed the girl's shoulders and turned her towards him, so that she was facing him.

"Are you mad..?", Jungkook carefully asked as his eyes were searching for Haeryung's eyes.

Haeryung looked down on her hand that was tightly held by Jungkook. She still refused to speak up.

Jungkook let the girl's hand go as he brought his hands towards Haeryung's face and cupped it, let her eyes meeting with his.

"Noona.. whats wrong? Are you mad at me?", Jungkook asked softly and it almost make Haeryung break into tears but she didn't.

"No...", Haeryung finally spoke up.

She looked into Jungkook's eyes before continued, "I'm not mad at you.."

Jungkook smiled at the girl's reply.

He gently caressed Haeryung's cheeks with his thumbs before asked again, "Then..? Whats wrong..? You look sad, noona.. I don't like it."

Haeryung just silently looked into Jungkook's eyes. She still wasn't sure whether to ask him or not. But truthfully, she was afraid. She was afraid to ask and to know the reason.

"Hey.. listen. Its okay noona, tell me.", Jungkook convinced her as he gave her a small smile. His hands were still on both of Haeryung's cheeks, keeping her warm.

Haeryung bit her bottom lip again, debating with her choices. She wanted to know the truth as soon as possible but at the same time she was very afraid with what Jungkook would tell her.

Haeryung took a deep breath before decided.

She gently held the top of Jungkook's hands that were on her cheeks as she gave the boy a small smile.

She took Jungkook's hands off from her face and held it tightly on top of her laps. Both of them looked into each other eyes afterward.

"Do you really like me, Jungkook..?", Haeryung started.

Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed at the girl's question but he didn't refuse to answer.

"Of course. I really like you, Noona.", Jungkook smoothly answered as he confidently smiled afterwards.

A small yet sad smile plastered on Haeryung's face. She then continued.

"Then why did you lie?", Haeryung asked again. This time she properly looked into the boy's eyes, demand for the truth behind all the things she heard yesterday.

Jungkook's smile fell at Haeryung's words. "Lie..?", Jungkook asked in confusion.

Haeryung sighed. She looked down at their interlocked hands as she slowly said, "I heard your conversation with Jimin yesterday. In the locker room."

Jungkook's expression automatically changed the moment he heard Haeryung.

His grip on Haeryung's hands slowly loose as time passed by.

Haeryung kept looking down as her heart fell when she saw Jungkook was trying to stay away from her.

"N-Noona..", Jungkook stuttered.

Haeryung bravely looked up at Jungkook as she repeated her question,

"Jungkook.. do you really like me?"

Sadly, Jungkook didn't answer. He looked away from the girl that he claimed to like, since their first meeting.
