It was another day in Happy Tree town with people walking on the sidewalks or driving. I was hanging out with Flaky, Giggles, and Petuina while going to the beach to relax for the day. "So, what are going to do at the beach"? I asked them. "Just relax and swim a little". Petuina says, "I also think that Flaky's crush is going to be there". Giggles says with a wide smile. Flaky blushed deeply and puts a strand of her red hair behind her ear. "O-Oh". She shyly stutters out. I was clueless on who her crush was since I've been here for a couple of weeks. "Whose that"? I asked. Giggles looked at me, "Flippy. The town's craziest boy! I've heard he has PTSD"! She exclaimed. The other two nodded. "Oh". I said. I've only seen Flippy a few times, but it was on accident since I'm really clumsy and don't know where to go sometimes. A few minutes have passed by and the three of us made it to the beach. Giggles picked a spot for us to put our stuff down. I sat on my blue towel, I didn't really like going to the beach since for one I can't swim and for two I'm scared of sharks. The other girls were in a bathing suit while I was in a shirt with shorts.

Flaky sat on her red towel next to me as I adjusted my glasses on my face. "A-Are you always quiet"? Flaky asked me. I don't talk a lot since I've been here. I've only waved at people or said 'hi' to them, but nothing major. A sigh came from my lips as I look down at my knees. The thought at being at the beach was making my head hurt, so I thought of something else. Giggles ans Petunia went to get ice cream as Flaky lays on her towel while she puts on sunscreen. From ear range, I heard laughter from a group of the towns guys: Handy, Nutty, Toothy, Lifty, Shifty, Cuddles and Flippy. It was pretty obvious that Sniffles was studying somewhere and Lumpy was doing what God knows what. I opened my eyes and took glances at the boy group that were 50 feet from Flaky and I. All the boys were in tank tops except Flippy. 'That one boy'. I thought. The way he was standing there was almost blinding, he had his hands in his camouflage trunks, he wasn't musclar but wasn't skinny, but decent. He had lightly traced abs but I can clearly see a six pack on the dude, he had small muscles but from what I've heard, Flippy was in the army so I ain't saying shit. Flippy still had his dog tags hanging from his neck as it shines in the sun, his forest green hair blew slightly in the wind, and he still wore his bernate (I think that's how you spell it). I kept taking small glances at him until I heard Flaky gasps before turning red as her hair, 'Good God'. I thought and looked down.

Giggles and Petuina saw the boys befote blushing crazily. It was pretty obvious that Giggles likes Cuddles and Petuina likes Handy. The two girls walked over with ice cream in hand and sat with Flaky and I. "So....the guys are here and Flippy is without a shirt"! Petuina quietly squeals. I've always seen Flippy in his normal outfit, but damn, this is beyond. I excuse myself to go to the bathroom, but didn't go because I wanted to be alone so I got my wish. Totally forgetting my shoes, I was on the boardwalk with nothing on my feet as I walked with my head down. Few minutes have passed and I made my way back to the beach on to see the boys with the girls. But what really threw me a curveball was that Flippy wasn't with Flaky. 'Doesn't he like her'? I thought as I walked over to the group. But stopping in my tracks, I realized I didn't want them to be disturbed by my present so I decided to go to the water. As soon as I got to the water, I tapped it with my foot before shivering a little. I stood there, just looking at the horzion until something, more like someone, coughed behind me. I turned to look and I thought I also had a heart attack. It was Flippy, looking at me with his green eyes into my own. "Hey". He says as he steps into the water, not really bothered by the coldness. "H-Hi Flippy". I stuttered back. He still had his hands in his trunks pocket. "What are you doing here by yourself love"? He asks me. My eyes widen as I looked up at him, "Love? Oh....I...uh....I wanted to be alone so....yeah". I tried to explain, but failed miserably. "You should never be alone love". He turns toward me. I was short and he was tall, yep this sucks for me.

Flippy lookes at me with calm eyes as a small faint smile was on his lips. "You should hang with me". He suddenly says. I shook my head, "No thanks". I says as I turned on my heels  to begin walking on the wet shore. Footsteps came after me as Flippy started following me. I pick up the pace and before I knew, I was running from Flippy. My breathing was speeding up as my heart was pumping. I ran toward the others until I jumped over Flaky's head. But in mid-air, Flippy grabbed me by my waist and we both landed on the ground. I felt a smooth soft hand on ny face, trying to get the sand off my face until I realized it was Flippy. What really got me was I was on the bottom and he was leaning over me. My face was burning in embrassament, so was Flippy but in a blushy way. I was caught up in his eyes that I didn't see his face moving closer until that moment. My lips felt something touch something softer until it hit me like a train. Flippy is kissing me. I slowly kissed back as my eyes closed. Few seconds have passed and the kiss was broken. Flippy panted softly from the kiss as I as well panted. The others stared at us wide eyed, Flaky gave me a sad smile with a thumbs up. Flippy leaned in my ear, "Want to be my girlfriend love"? He whispered. I blushed and nodded 'yes'. With a smile, Flippy kissed me once again as the others went to a different place to hang out.
