After the events in the ruins, Noire and I went outside the ruins bringing the treasure chest and a bag of gold. Luckily Noire had this system which was called the "Inventory" if not we would have to carry the heavy objects on our way back to Lastation.

When we got outside it was already dark. Noire once again transformed into her other form which I still do not know what is it called, and flew ourselves away from here and off to Lastation. Maybe I should ask her about the transformation in the near future.

Once we reached there, Noire reverted back to normal and something unexpected had happened. Both our stomachs rumbled in sync and attracted attention. It was quite loud if it was able to get the attention of the surrounding people. Noire blushed like mad but I was no different. To avoid even more embarrassment, I took Noire's hand and ran passed through the crowd with Noire along.

Of course when your stomach rumbles it would mean you're hungry, and when you're hungry you have less energy, and when you have less energy you can't make a far run, but it was far enough. You panted and looked around to see you were at the shopping district. You looked back to see Noire whose face is redder than before. Thinking she was probably sick you got closer to her which made her face completely red and it was impossible to hide it.

Y/N: You okay?

Noire: Y-Yeah...

Y/N: But you don't look fine.

Noire: I told you I'm fine okay. Jeez, you don't have to be such a worry wart.

Y/N: O-Okay, if you say so.

You pulled back and Noire's face finally started to cool down.

Noire: E-Ehem, we should probably go get dinner.

Y/N: But what about the quest?

Noire: It's fine. The deadline is on midnight.

Y/N: Well than, what should we eat?

Noire: I know a great place.

Noire once again leaded and you followed. The shopping district is packed with people and you could smell the amazing food being prepared by the chefs. At this point though, it's just suffering to smell that delicious food.

Noire: We're here.

You stopped in front of a restaurant. The smell from inside was kinda like steak. Eating a western food in this condition is probably one of the best feelings in life. You walked inside and it was crowded like the other shops you've seen. Luckily, there was an empty long table with two metal benches.

You sat down on one side while Noire sat on the opposite. A maid came up and gave you two the menu.

Maid: If you are ready to order please ring the bell.

Noire: Got it.

And with that she leaves your table. You looked at Noire whose already looking through the menu. You did the same and flicked through the pages. Your hunch was slightly correct, it was something like the western food but instead of normal steak you got Grilled Dragon, Smoking-Hot Wolf Ribs, and Monster Size Fishes. You gulped just seeing the menu and not yet the real deal.

Noire: So have you chosen one yet?

It was impossible for you to eat a monstrous meal or even finishing it.

Noire: I recommend the Dragon Wing Stew for starters.

You look at the menu to see the portion of the meal Noire suggested and like the rest, it's gigantic.

Y/N: Um...

Noire: Hurry up! I'm going to faint if I wait any longer.

You had no choice but to choose one. Whether you finish it or not doesn't apply anymore.

Y/N: Then I'll choose the Wolf Ribs with the Bloody Sauce.

Noire gave a smile and pressed the bell button at the end corner of the table. The same maid came up to us and took our order. Your drink was plain old water while Noire's one is XL apple juice. You weren't even confident anymore. To be honest you don't even know why you chose the Bloody Sauce.

It wasn't long before both your order came. Your one was quite large but Noire's one was a little bit special. She ordered the Empress Dragon. It was medium in size but one bite can actually fill a normal person's stomach. You don't know how that would work but you don't want to know. Why's Noire eating such a thing? Apparently the nutrition in that meal is needed for a goddess or so she says.

Without another word the two of you began eating. Your dish was scrumptious and the sauce actually had a sweet and spicy taste to it. The two of you finished dinner. You were full and was extremely satisfied with your meal. The both of you patted your stomach indicating you're full.

Noire: Ah, I haven't had a good meal like that since ages.

Y/N: Me too.

The maid came with the receipt and Noire paid for the meal. You would have gladly paid for it, if you had any cash that is. You got up your seat and headed for the meeting place with the client along with Noire.

Y/N: So, who's the client?

Noire: One of Gamindustri's top researcher of ancient and legendary relics. Prof. Kira.

Y/N: Who knew I've been doing a job for such a person.

Noire: It's not yours, it's my job. You're just tagging along.

Y/N: But remember the deal we made.

Noire just turned away knowing that she lost the bet we made in the ruins.

We made it to a bridge where below it was a river flowing softly. On the bridge there was a young guy in a light brown coat, had the same colour top hat and wore black glasses. I thought he was some kind of stranger that we shouldn't make interaction with but...

Noire: It's good to see you, Prof. Kira.

Kira: It's an honour having to meet the goddess of Lastation. Hmm?

He putted down his glasses and stared at me. At first, I thought this professor we're going to meet is going to be an old hag but this guy looks like he's in his 20's.

Kira: Is this your boyfriend by any chance?

Noire's face turned red and she immediately objected.

Noire: W-What are y-you t-talking about?! H-Him, my boyfriend?! You m-must be kidding!

Kira: Hahaha... I thought you would bring your little sister instead of a guy. To be honest, I never thought you would be friends with a guy.

Noire: Are you insulting me?

Kira: No, of course not. Putting that topic aside, do you have it?

Without replying to his question, Noire brought up the treasure chest.

Kira: Is it in the chest?

Noire: I'm not sure as I haven't open it.

Y/N: How about busting it open?

Noire: Maybe, I'll try it.

She brought up her sword and tries to cut the box in half but it was completely unscrathed.

Kira: This chest might have a magic barrier surrounding it. At this rate we might really need the key.

Noire: Wait, there's an old writing on it. "The chest hides a demon, waiting for its master. But it will only open to those wise enough to tame it." What does it mean?

Y/N: Isn't it obvious? There's a demon in that chest. And only a smart bastard could tame it.

Kira: So this chest holds a demon?

Y/N: One way to find out...

The chest was like any other chest except with some old writings and 3 circles at the top. The left and right are empty circles while the middle had "IX".

Noire: What are you doing Y/N?

Y/N: I'm gonna open this bad boy.

Kira: How? We don't have a key...

Y/N: That's why it said the thing inside will only open to a smart person. There is no key.

Noire: Then, how are we suppose to open it?

Y/N: By proving to it our brain is not made out of sponge with this quiz on top. Don't worry I'll solve it. (The main question is, what does IX stands for? Wait, it can't be...)

Noire: So, have you figured it out?

Y/N: Yup, but there's a problem...

Kira: What is it?

Y/N: I need something to carve the answer on this chest. Maybe a knife?

Kira: I got a pen knife. Does that count?

I nodded to answer his question. He quickly took it out of his coat and gave it to me.

Y/N: Alright, time to show this chest whose boss!

I carved the capital letter S on the left circle and the number 6 on the right circle. Out of the blue, the middle circle shined and opened the chest. What was in that large chest was...

Kira: Swords? Not too mention 6 of them.

Kira tried to carry one but ended up in failure. The sword with two edge (Tempest) only budged.

Kira: It's extremely heavy!

Noire: Let me try...

Noire did the same thing but ended the same way like Prof. Kira. Although this time, I'm surprised. Because Noire could carry such a gigantic sword but why not this? Maybe because she was in her other mode when she carried it.

Noire: You're right. It is heavy.

Y/N: Maybe...

I tried to carry one because of the word "tame" that was engraved on the chest intrigued me.

Y/N: As expected...

Noire and Kira was in shock as I could carry it with one hand while the both of them couldn't even carry it. It would seem that the weapon had chosen its master. I explained to the two about this phenomenon.

Kira: I see, if that's the case then... Y/N I would like you to hold on to the sword as the quest reward.

Y/N: You sure?!

Kira: Of course. I can't do any research if it doesn't behave. But I do want you to report to me every once in a while.

Y/N: Sure and thanks for the swords. But one question...

Kira: Ask ahead.

Y/N: How am I suppose to carry all 6 swords?

I was grateful to Prof. Kira that I now have an OP weapon and all. But 6 swords is a lot. I can't possibly carry it around in my hands. It will be great to have that "Inventory" system on me now.

Kira: Hmm... it's okay. I'll have my team make you a special sheath for the swords.

Y/N: Please do.

Kira: Now that's settled. Noire, I know you're the one that took the quest and-

Noire: It's fine. Besides I made a deal with Y/N.

Kira: If that's the case than I hope we can continue to work together in the near future.

Noire: Of course. If you need any help by all means give me a call.

Kira: That I will do. Now before I leave, here Y/N this is my card. Hope to see you two soon.

And with that he took off. Prof. Kira was a nice guy.

Y/N: <Yawn> Where to next?

Noire: To the Basilicom where we'll rest.

Y/N: Great, a lot has happened in one day. A good night's sleep will do the trick.

Noire: Yeah... also make sure you carry those swords back.

Y/N: Yes ma'am.

Noire chuckled a bit at my response. It was a warm smile nevertheless. After that, we headed back to the Basilicom with 3 swords in one hand and the other 3 in the other. Thankfully my hands was large enough to fit 3 hilts.

Uni: Welcome back, you two.

Noire: Thanks, Uni.

We had arrived at the Basilicom's main hall. The interior design was flawless but the exterior didn't lack in anything either. That was besides the point. My body felt close to collapsing. Noire seems fine but she's a goddess, the difference in terms of stamina and strength is too much.

Y/N: Um, Noire, where am I going to stay?

Noire: I've been thinking about it but I can't come up with one. You can't stay here because we don't have an extra room. You also can't stay at an inn because you have no money on you.

Those are pretty good reasons. But if I can't stay here nor an inn, where else can I stay?

Uni: Actually, I've already thought of a place where you could sleep. I contacted Vert to sort out a room for you at Leanbox so maybe you could stay there.

Noire: Absolutely no!

Noire suddenly raised her voice to object that idea. But what made me confused is, why? If I can't stay here, than I might as well go to Leanbox. Wherever that is. And who is this Vert? A lot of questions are in my head but I don't have the strength to think about them now.

Uni: Why?

Noire: B-Because...because...because...

Noire's desperately trying to find an answer. I don't get how Noire thinks sometimes.

Noire: I-It's just a bad idea, okay?! Y/N can sleep in my room with me.

Both Uni and me were in shock. I have to sleep in a room that belongs to a girl. Not too mention she's a goddess at that. If F/N was here he will be jealous of me by now. Not that I'm proud of it.

I entered Noire's room. It doesn't have any of the girly aspects which is clearly not Noire's thing. She had a few papers on her desk and quite the big closet. Maybe she's into fashion? Better not dig any deeper.

Noire: I got an extra mattress somewhere. I'll ask Uni to get it. In the meantime, I'm going to take a bath. Do not and I repeat do not take a peek!

Y/N: Yes, ma'am...

Noire went inside the toilet and locked it from the inside. But what should I do now? I layed the swords that I had in my hands all this time next to her work desk. I hope she won't mind. My body was reaching it's limit and is beginning to limp.

Y/N: I need to take a rest before I collapse.

I walked towards Noire's bed and collapsed right there.

Y/N: Sorry...Noire...

Noire's P.O.V

Noire: That should be long enough.

I closed the shower and grabbed the towel to dry myself off. Before going out, I wrapped the towel around myself and unlocked the door. The moment I stepped out, I saw Y/N lying on my bed. He must be really tired after everything that happened. I opened the channel to Uni.

Noire: Uni?

Uni: Yes, Onee-Chan?

Noire: Cancel the mattress, Y/N already found a place to sleep.

Uni: Is that so? Okay then...

Noire: Goodnight, Uni.

Uni: Goodnight, Onee-Chan.

The channel closed. I opened the closet which had all the clothes I sewed and bought. I took my pajamas and lingerie. The pajamas was coloured pink and very comfortable. I wore the lingerie first before wearing the pajamas. Before closing it, I took a look at my cosplay outfits and thought...

Noire: (I wonder if Y/N will hate me because I do these kind of things...)

I closed the closet and approached the bed. Y/N was asleep but he was also taking up the whole bed.

Noire: Maybe I should wake him up... Hey, Y/N wake up. Wake up.

I sat down and did this process while poking him on the face. He moved his head away to avoid being poked. It's almost cute. But I didn't stop there, I kept poking him until he woke up which he didn't.

Noire: Come on Y/N, if you don't wake up than where am I going to sleep?

Y/N: With...me...

Y/N grabbed me by the arm and pulled me towards him. Right now, I'm laying right in front of a sleeping Y/N. I couldn't hold my embarrassment any longer so I pushed Y/N out of the bed by instinct.

Noire: Eh? Wah, sorry Y/N I didn't mean it. Huh?

He was still asleep despite that push and fall. It probably means he's seriously out of power.

Noire: <sigh> Good grief, here I'm worried about you and all you're doing right now is sleep.

I turned to Black Heart and carried him to the bed, this time in a proper position. I turned back to normal and got into bed with Y/N. His face was close to mine and it made my heart beat faster.

Noire: This is going to be an endless night.

Miku: A/N, are you okay?

Huh? <Yawn> Yeah, I'm fine.

Miku: You sure? You've been staying up all night.

That's normal for me. No need to be so worried. <Yawn>

Miku: <sigh> I give up. But make sure to sleep after this chapter is done okay?

Yeah, sure.
