Today we have one of my favourite mysteries from the 2000's, the Story of Brandon Swanson, another Story I've known for 2 and a half years and it still intrigues me. I noticed that he has lost subscribers for no reason, and it makes me really upset because I've been watching him for almost 3 years and he's one of my favourite YouTubers and I really want him to reach a million subscribers, and seeing people unsubscribe from him for no reason really grinds me gears, so I'm trying to support him as much as I can. But with all that out of the way, let's take a look at the Story of Brandon Swanson.

Brandon Swanson was born on January 30th 1989 and he was a typical, but nice 19 year old college student who lived in the city of Marshall, Minnesota. But little did anyone know that something would happen to him that would cause one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in the 2000's. This is the Story of Brandon Swanson.

On this day, 15 years ago, on the night of May 14th 2008, Brandon was driving home from a party he attended, when he suddenly lost control of his car and drove into a ditch. Brandon quickly called his parents and told them what had happened and he believed he was near the city of Lynd, Minnesota, and his parents agreed to meet him there. Brandon stayed on the phone with his parents as he made his way over to the city.

But 47 minutes after the accident, Brandon's parents heard him yell, "OH SHIT!" before the call abruptly ended and that was the last anyone ever heard from Brandon...

Of course, Brandon's parents got worried when they found no trace of him that night and immediately alerted the police. Even though Brandon believed he was near the city of Lynd, the police found his car near Taunton, a city over 19 miles away from Lynd.

The police wondered if Brandon's car accident and him mistaking his location were because he was under the effects of alcohol, but his parents told them it was highly unlikely that their son was in a drunken state because he did not sound intoxicated, nor did they believe he could hide his intoxication during the 47 minute phone call. The police also found no evidence of fowl play, or evidence that Brandon possibly even faked his disappearance.

The only possibility the police could think of was that Brandon couldn't see where he was walking during the night and he fell into the Yellow Medicine River, which was not far from where Brandon's car was found, and the river was also experiencing strong currents that night, and it's why neither Brandon or his cell phone have ever been found. The police eventually concluded that Brandon fell into the Yellow Medicine River and tragically drowned...

After Brandon's sudden disappearance, the Minnesota police established a new named "Brandon's Law", which requires law enforcement to take a missing persons report without delay after notification of someone missing under dangerous circumstances, no matter what the missing person's age is.

Despite the police's tragic conclusion, Brandon's family chose to remain hopeful that Brandon is still alive and well, and he will one day return. Brandon's family never held a memorial for him and they always leave their porch lights on every night just in case Brandon is still alive and wants to come home.

To this day, 15 years later, Brandon Swanson has still not been found...
