Christopher Scarver is an American murderer who's famous for the murder of the famous Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer and murderer Jesse Anderson. This is the Story of Christopher Scarver.
Christopher Scarver was born on July 6th 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the second of five children and he attended James Madison High School. At first, Scarver seemed to have a normal life, but he struggled heavily with school work no matter how hard he tried, and he was way more interested in high school parties and dating. To make matters worse, he became addicted to alcohol and marijuana and his parents kicked him out of their house as a result and he dropped out of High School during his junior year and he was forced to live with his girlfriend.
Despite dropping out of High School and getting kicked out of his own house, Scarver was hired as a trainee carpenter at the Wisconsin Conservation Corps job program. However, Scarver claimed that he faced racial discrimination from other employers. But he had a supervisor who was a good friend to him named Edward Patts. Patts respected and appreciated Scarver and promised him he would obtain a full time position at his job when he finished his part time program.
Things were looking really good for Scarver because not only did he have a really good friend offering him a full time job, but his girlfriend became pregnant and he needed a full time job more than ever to support his family. Unfortunately, Patts was dismissed from his supervising position and Scarver never received his full time job.
The man responsible for Patts' dismissal was the manager of the Wisconsin Conservation Corps Training Program, 27 year old Steve Lohman, who Scarver was severely angry at and his alcohol addiction got even worse after his full time job offer was rejected.
To make matters worse, Scarver started hearing voices in his head calling him the "chosen one". Eventually, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, which caused his messianic delusions.
It didn't look like things could get any worse for Scarver, but just as it seemed like he hit rock bottom in his life, he had a terrifying plan that no one was expecting...
On June 1st 1990, Christopher Scarver walked into the Wisconsin Conservation Corps Training Program's office wielding a gun. He approached Steve Lohmann and one of his employers named John Feyen.
Scarver told the men how angry he was at them and forced Lohman to the ground at gunpoint and ordered Feyen to give him money. Scared out of his mind, Feyen gave Scarver $15, but it was not enough money for the enraged lunatic.
Feeling more angry than ever, Scarver shot Lohman in the head, killing him instantly. Scarver than said to Feyen : "Now do you think I'm kidding!? I need more money!" Afterwards, he shot Lohman in the head two more times. The most terrified he ever was in his life, Feyen gave Scarver a $3,000 check and ran outside to his car. Scarver attempted to shoot Feyen, but he thankfully missed him and Feyen got away.
After receiving his $3,000 check, he returned to his house, but there wasn't much he could do with the money because the Police immediately drove to his house and arrested him and he was charged with robbery and first degree murder. During his trial in 1992, Scarver and his attorneys claimed he was legally insane due to his Schizophrenia and messianic delusions, but he was found to be legally sane and he knew what he was doing and he knew it was wrong. Scarver was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole at the Columbia Correctional Institute in Portage, Wisconsin.
But even after Scarver horrifically murdered Steve Lohman and he was now going to spend the rest of his life in prison, he was not ready to stop making his presence known. Scarver was incarcerated at the same exact prison as two notorious men he hated. Convicted murderer, Jesse Anderson, and the infamous Serial Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer also known as "The Milwaukee Cannibal" and "The Milwaukee Monster".
Anderson was serving a life sentence for murdering his wife, Barbara on the night of April 21st 1992. When the two were out watching movies, Anderson violently stabbed Barbara to death and she died two days later. He would've been eligible for parole in the year 2052, when he would've been 95 years old. Dahmer was serving 15 consecutive life sentences with no possibility of parole for murdering, dismembering, dissolving, and cannibalising 17 men.
Scarver hated both of these men with a burning passion not only because they were evil murderers, but they were also racists. Most of Dahmer's victims were black men and Anderson attempted to frame several black men for murdering Barbara. To make matters worse, even though Dahmer expressed remorse about his murders to everyone he talked to, he taunted his victims and other prison inmates during breakfast, lunch, and dinner time when he would pretend his chicken bones, fish bones, and ketchup were the bodies of his victims. Scarver did not want these men in his presence and believing he was the chosen one from his messianic delusions, he knew something had to be done, and little did he know how famous this desire would make him...
On this day, 29 years ago, on the morning of November 28th 1994, After 2 years of living at the Columbia Correctional Institution, Scarver, Dahmer, and Anderson were assigned to clean the prison gymnasium's bathroom. However, when prison guards left the three inmates unsupervised, Scarver knew this was his perfect chance.
Scarver grabbed a curl bar from a weight lift in the prison's weight room and severely beat Dahmer to the ground. Afterwards, he grabbed a broomstick and aggressively beat Anderson to the ground. Feeling very satisfied with himself, he walked out of the bathroom back to his prison cell without a care in the world. When officers noticed him back from the bathroom and questioned him why he was back so quickly, he said to them: "God told me to do it. Jesse Anderson and Jeffrey Dahmer are dead." Prison guards ran to the bathroom where they found Dahmer and Anderson lying on the floor. They were still alive, but they were mortally wounded and bleeding heavily. Dahmer was rushed to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and Anderson was rushed to the University Of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
Dahmer died an hour after arriving at the hospital and Anderson died 2 days later in the hospital on November 30th after he was taken off of life support.
Everyone was very shocked, but relieved when Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson met their well deserved fates, and Scarver became even more famous. But now he was charged with two more counts of first degree murder. Once again, he and his attorneys claimed he was legally insane, but he was still found to be legally sane and competent enough to stand trial for the murders. Scarver was given two more life sentences with no possibility of parole and sixteen years in solitary confinement for the murders of Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson. In total, Christopher Scarver was given three life sentences with no possibility of parole. He will never be released from prison. During his trial, Scarver said: "Nothing white people do to blacks is just.".
Several months after the two murders in 1995, Scarver was taken into custody by the Federal Bureau Of Prisons since Wisconsin prison officials believed they didn't have a facility secure enough for Scarver. He also underwent psychiatric evaluation at the United States Medical Center For Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri and afterwards, he was transferred to the Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence, Colorado. A prison home to the famous serial killer, Ted Kaczynski.
Scarver spent the next 5 years at the Administrative Maximum Facility before he was transferred to the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility when it opened in 2000. A year later in 2001, federal district court judge Barbara Crabb ordered that Scarver and three dozen other seriously mentally ill inmates be transferred from the Wisconsin facility. Scarver was then transferred to the Centennial Correctional Facility in Canon City, Colorado where he remains today.
4 years later in 2005, Scarver filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against officials at the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility believing he had been subjected to cruel and unusual punishment, contrary to his constitutional rights. However, Scarver's lawsuit was dismissed by a district court judge who ruled that the actions of the officials were not unlawful. Scarver unsuccessfully appealed against the decision the next year in 2006.
Over the years, Scarver has written several books in prison about his life and the murders of Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson and everyone seems to have given him an ounce of respect for killing two of the worst criminals in History. He's nowhere near a hero due to his heinous murder of his manager, but he did the world a favour by putting Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson out of our existence and he still captures the imagination and thoughts of people today.
The end.
